Breathtaking Views of Earth from Space

From 2002 to 2012 the European Space Agency Envistat satellite, the largest Earth observation satellite, circled the Earth collecting information on our environment. Contact with Envistat ended in 2012 but a wealth of information and images were collected.  In 2014, the European Space Agency launched multi-satellite projects providing more amazing images.

Every week, the European Space Agency releases a new satellite image taken by Earth-observation satellites showing incredible places on Earth.

Palestinians Merge Images of Jesus In Classical Art with Pictures of Palestinians

The Incredulity of Saint Thomas

For Pope Francis’ visit to Israel and the Palestinian Authority, the PA commissioned an art exhibit that merged classical works of art portraying biblical scenes with photos of Palestinians, a flagrant misrepresentation of Jesus.

Raphael's The Deposition, (1507), which shows the dead Jesus being carried to his tomb. In the Palestinian version, Jesus' legs have been replaced by a photo of the wounded legs of a Palestinian, being carried away by a man as an Israeli soldier looks on.

“These images were requested specifically for the Pope’s visit,” Itamar Marcus, founder and director of Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), told FoxNews.com.

“The paintings clearly depict Jesus blending in with Palestinians. This is an ongoing and important part of Palestinian ideology as demonstrated on December 23 last year when, in his annual message to Christians, [PA president] Mahmoud Abbas referred to the birth of Jesus Christ as a Palestinian messenger of peace, attempting to give them [the Palestinians] a history they don’t have. The same message has been repeated throughout the Palestinian establishment, including by the Grand Mufti, and others.”

The Incredulity of Saint Thomas (1602), by Caravaggio, the doubting Thomas inspects the wounds of Jesus to verify his resurrection. In this modified version of the artwork, the wounded part of Jesus' body has been replaced with a photo of a Palestinian's identity card, clearly identifying Jesus as a Palestinian. Thomas, presumably representing an Israeli soldier, inspects the card.

Brussels museum shooter may have filmed terror attack

The shooter who killed four people at the Jewish Museum in Brussels may have videotaped his attack with a GoPro camera mounted on his chest.  As was the case in a previous anti-Jewish attack in 2012 in Toulouse the shooter filmed the killing of four Jews.

The four people killed in Saturday’s terror attack at the Jewish Museum in Brussels were an Israeli couple, a French national and a Belgium citizen. haaetz

The Brussels judicial authorities on Monday transferred the inquiry of the Brussels Museum shooting to the federal public prosecutor’s office which is authorized to handle terrorist cases.
