Is The Reason Preganant Mother Was Sentenced To Death In Sudan Jealous and Greedy Family?

sudan photoTwo United States Senators, Sens. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) and Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), sent the Secretary of State a second letter demanding that more be done to help Daniel Wani and Meriam Ibrahim. Good thing they sent a second letter as the State Department is ‘not sure’ it recevied the first letter sent to the State Department from two United States Senators.
PJMedia: State Dept. ‘Not Sure’ It Got Senate Letter Sent Four Days Ago Pleading for Sudanese Christian

The heartbreaking horrible situation of Meriam Ibrahim, the eight months pregnant shackled woman sentenced to 100 lashes and death last week for being a Christian and marrying a Christian was driven by jealousy and greed from family members it is claimed.  From family members she doesn’t know!

Her half brother and half sister – who had not seen her for decades – tracked her down so they could get rid of her and take over her successful general store, Meriam’s lawyers alleged. The legal team for Meriam, whose husband is an American citizen, are being paid for by Justice Centre Sudan, a US-based non-profit that campaigns for human rights in the African country.

White House tending toward working with terror group Hamas

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas

A unity government is set to be established within a week by Fatah and Hamas.

Hamas is classified as a terrorist group by the United States government.  Hamas is a terrorist group that has a genocide ideology to exterminate Jews and any person who has a different belief.

Hamas’ Charter calls for the annihilation of Israel in the first paragraph. “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it”

This is not a group that will recognize Israel and commit to nonviolence!  The “the new government will be made up of technocrats”; frontmen who will supposedly run this  new unity government and represent it publicly.

Despite Israel’s position, the U.S. administration is tending toward cooperating with the soon-to-be-formed Palestinian unity government, even if Hamas as an organization does not accept the conditions of the Mideast Quartet to recognize Israel, honor previous agreements and abandon violence. O’Keefe Sting: ANTI-FRACKING HollyWood Environmentalists

movie camera photoThe citizen journalist James O’Keefe did a sting to reveal the hypocrisy among Hollywood environmentalists. Hollywood environmentalists who agrees to hide where the funding for an anti-fracking movie is from, Middle Eastern oil interests.

O’Keefe released a video showing Mariel Hemingway, Ed Begley Jr. and environmentalist film producers Josh and Rebecca Tickell meeting with two actors they believe are an ad executive and a Middle Eastern oil tycoon named “Muhammad” who wants to invest $9 million to fund an anti-fracking film. The fake “Muhammad” said,  “If Washington D.C. continues fracking America will be energy efficient and then they won’t need our oil anymore.”

China and Russia sign natural gas deal worth $400B

Vladimir Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin

China and Russia signed a major 30-year natural gas deal on Wednesday that would send gas from Siberia by pipeline to China.

There are other projects developing between China and Russia in the fields of aviation.  Combining Russian design with the production capacities of China could lead to superiority over U.S. technological. With these deals in the works it is not surprising that Russia responded to U.S. sanctions by cutting off exports of the rocket engines the U.S. used to launch military satellites.

What’s killing the bees? Bee researchers raise more warning flags about neonicotinoid pesticides

honey bee photoA special report by the CBC (Canadian News) shows neonic pesticides appear to play a key role in killing off the bee population according to study’s by Europeans and the newest study by Harvard University researcher and two Massachusetts’ beekeepers published this month in the Bulletin of Insectology journal.

The studies support a link between pesticides used on crops with bee colony collapse disorder (CCD). Neonicotinoids are used for coating seeds. A major source of contamination comes during sowing when bees are exposed to dust  dispersed in the air from neonicotinoid-coated seeds. Madeleine Chagnon –20 years of bee research “While we wait, the bees are dying”

Italy banned banned neonicotinoids when they are used for coating seeds, although it is still permitted to spray the compounds on the leaves. A sharp drop in mortality of bees was observed around the maize fields in the spring when sowing takes place. Europe banned the use of neonic pesticides last year.

In southwest China wild bees have been eradicated by excessive pesticide use and loss of natural habitat. In recent years, farmers in China have to hand-pollinate their trees, the apple and pear orchards in southwest China, they carry pots of pollen and paintbrushes to individually pollinate every flower.

The evidence linking these neonicotinoids to CCD is significant but not yet conclusive, critics have  voiced concerns that the study sample size is too small, that the study’s did not control for other potential reasons for CCD.

High School student shoves elderly teacher to the ground

school signA 16-year-old young man has been charged with injury to the elderly after cell phone video captured him shoving a substitute teacher at Nimitz High School in Houston, Texas.

“She took his phone because he was in class texting,” said senior Calvin Bennet Rainwater. “ We’re not supposed to have our phones out. He pushed her like three times.”

“Aldine Independent School District police on Thursday filed a criminal charge of injury to an elderly person against a 16-year-old male student. The charge stems from an incident that occurred Thursday afternoon at Nimitz High School when a substitute teacher confiscated the student’s cell phone. The student is accused of physically shoving the substitute teacher to the ground and then retrieving his cell phone. Other students witnessed the incident and immediately reported it to school officials, who then summoned an ambulance and the campus-based police officer. The substitute teacher, who is a retired Aldine teacher, was treated at a local hospital and then released.”

Haverford College commencement speaker lambasts students

Graduation CapWilliam Bowen, former president of Princeton University and a nationally respected higher education leader, in his commencement address Sunday at Haverford College in Pennsylvania  blasted student as “immature” and “arrogant” for protesting another speaker who subsequent withdrew, a “defeat” for the Quaker college and its ideals; the Quaker values of dignity, tolerance and respect.

William Bowen used his commencement speech to criticize students who campaigned against Robert J Bigueneau, former chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley.

“More than 40 students and three professors had protested Birgeneau’s invitation to speak, objecting to his handling of a 2011 incident at Berkeley in which police used force at a student protest. The group wanted Birgeneau to apologize, support payments for victims, and write a letter to Haverford students explaining his position on the events and “what you learned from them.”

Birgeneau, who was also supposed to receive an honorary degree from Haverford, refused those demands and others in a terse email.”

Birgeneau is one of several commencement speakers who have canceled their appearances this spring amid student protests.

Mindset: Palestinian Magical Thinking

Peace Israel photo
The Puzzle of Peace

Predictably another Israeli-Palestinian peace process has failed. How is that so many can try so hard for so long  and still fail to make any process? Jonathan Spyer, writing at PJ Media, clearly expresses an excellent insight of the failure of the peace talks that can be traced back to the fantasy world in which most Palestinian leaders live and which they keep many of their people locked into also.

The Palestinians see themselves as part of the local majority Arabic-speaking Sunni Muslim culture. From this point of view, the establishment of a non-Muslim sovereignty in Israel was not only an injustice, it was also an anomaly. Israel, being an anomaly, is therefore bound eventually to be defeated and disappear. So there is no need to reconcile to it, with all the humiliation therein.

What May Be Next?

Palestinian nationalism in both its Fatah and Hamas variants rejects the possibility of accepting the permanence of Jewish statehood in any part of the area west of the Jordan River.

For the Palestinian Authority, the nine-month period of negotiations came as an unwelcome interruption to a very different strategy to which it will now return.  This strategy consists of an attempt to place pressure on Israel through action in international forums to isolate and delegitimize the Jewish state.

Survey: One-quarter of the world harbors anti-Semitic attitudes

antisemitic photo

Anti-Semitism is still prevalent in more than a quarter of the world’s population finds a sobering new study, with region more than religion shaping people’s view of Jews and Judaism.  With the global average harboring intense anti-Jewish sentiment at 26%; 1.09 billion adults hold anti-Semitic views around the world. The survey also found that a large proportion of the world has never heard of the Holocaust (54%) or denies historical accounts of it (32%).

The Global 100 Index is the first-ever global study of anti-Semitic attitudes; it was released by the Anti-Defamation League. The survey was based questions that refer on 11 stereotypes.  Those who answered ‘probably’ or ‘definitely’ true to six or more of the questions were deemed to be anti-Semitic. The study purposely set the bar for anti-Semitism very high, to make its results conservative.
