Christian Ethics And The Refugee Problem

The selective moral outrage of Leftist is self-elevating, fake moral outrage used as means of control and shaming.

Interesting article.

America is in the midst of an ideological civil war.  The division is deep and wide, and the refugee problem is the latest iteration of the chasm.  Emotional arguments can generate justifications that are extremely hypocritical.  The hypocrisy in this particular debate is that those who want an open-door refugee policy are appealing to Christian morality, calling it unchristian not to let them all in.

When the left starts appealing to Christian morality, it is worth taking note.

These are the people who want to banish Christianity from every aspect of American culture.  Their leader and former president, Barack Obama, famously said, “We are not a Christian nation.”  Suddenly, his liberal cohorts are asserting Christianity to buttress their position.  Nice try, but there is no biblical case for opening the floodgates to refugees infiltrated by Islamic terrorists.

Some Americans are making the dangerous mistake of applying biblical principles of personal morality to matters of national security.  This is one of the passages being quoted in support of an open door refugee policy: “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels” (Hebrews 13:2).  That verse imposes a moral obligation on individuals to be hospitable.  Governmental policies are quite another matter.  When these texts were written, cities were surrounded by walls and secured behind gates.

The highest moral obligation of the president of the United States is to protect our citizens.  You cannot apply the personal ethic of turning the other cheek to national security any more than you can to the security of your spouse or child.  No sane human being would say to a loved one under attack, “Turn the other cheek so that you may be attacked again.”  Just as it is your moral duty to protect and defend your loved ones, the president is under a sacred oath to protect and defend America.

Dutch Doctor Drugged A Patient’s Coffee Then Had Her Family Hold Her Down As She Fought Not To Be Killed – But Did Not Break The Country’s Euthanasia Laws

A shocking case from Holland, a Dutch woman doctor had an elderly patient’s family hold her down, as she violently fought, while a fatal drug dose was administered. The doctor has been cleared under Holland’s Regional Review Committee.

Jacob Kohnstamm, chairman of the Regional Review Committee, which considered the case, said: “I am convinced that the doctor acted in good faith, and we would like to see more clarity on how such cases are handled in the future.” telegraph

This was cold blooded murder.

A Dutch woman doctor who drugged an elderly woman and then asked her family to hold her down as she fought desperately not to be killed did not break the law, according to medical experts citing the country’s euthanasia legislation.

The shocking case was referred to the so-called Regional Review Committee in the Netherlands which admitted that while the case involved some irregularities that merited a reprimand, the female doctor had effectively acted in good faith.

However they also added that the case should come to court so that judges can confirm that any other doctor who acts in good faith when providing euthanasia to people with dementia cannot be prosecuted.

Don’t be a problem patient

In the latest controversial incident the unnamed woman, who was over 80, reportedly suffered from dementia and had earlier expressed a desire for euthanasia when she deemed that ‘the time was right’.

As her situation deteriorated, it became difficult for her husband to care for her, and she was placed in a nursing home.

Medical paperwork showed that she often exhibited signs of fear and anger, and would wander around the building at nights. The nursing home senior doctor was of the opinion that she was suffering intolerably, but that she was no longer in a position where she could confirm that the time was now right for the euthanasia to go ahead.

However the doctor was of the opinion that the woman’s circumstances made it clear that the time was now right.  The doctor secretly placed a soporific in her coffee to calm her, and then had started to give her a lethal injection.

Yet while injecting the woman she woke up, and fought the doctor. The paperwork showed that the only way the doctor could complete the injection was by getting family members to help restrain her.

It also revealed that the patient said several times ‘I don’t want to die’ in the days before she was put to death, and that the doctor had not spoken to her about what was planned because she did not want to cause unnecessary extra distress. She also did not tell her about what was in her coffee as it was also likely to cause further disruptions to the planned euthanasia process.

The Review Committee concluded that the doctor ‘has crossed the line’ by giving her the first sleeping medicine, and also should have stopped when the woman resisted.

The paperwork and the recommendations of the committee are now being considered by prosecutors and health officials.

Kohnstamm said he was in favour of a trial: ‘Not to punish the doctor, who acted in good faith and did what she had to do, but to get judicial clarity over what powers a doctor has when it comes to the euthanasia of patients suffering from severe dementia.’  DailyMail

Leftist Are Out Of Control – Anti-Free Speech Riots At UC Berkeley

Leftist have given up the pretense that they believe in free speech.

On Wednesday night at the University of California at Berkeley leftist and anarchist rioted over a prospective speech by Milo Yiannopoulos.

Many of those dressed black bloc-style so police can’t identify them appear to be associated with the “antifa” movement. Antifa may be short for anti-fascist but these thugs, usually a mix of anarchists and communists, use violent fascistic tactics against their targets. These terrorists do not tolerate opposing views. Before the riots broke out those gathered carried signs that read “hate speech is not free speech.” Signs from the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PLS) also showed up in Berkeley.

Antifa is also involved in the protests and melees at airports nationwide TruthRevolt

On Wednesday night Berkeley betrayed the Free Speech Movement when leftist and anarchist rioted over a prospective speech by Milo Yiannopoulos. Milo’s event was stopped by police and Milo was evacuated from the Berkeley campus. What ensued was violent destruction of property, fires, and Milo supporters beaten in the streets. A disgusting display of how intolerant and fascist the left on campus has become.

President Trump has weighed in via Twitter, stating that he will withdraw federal funds from UC Berkeley if they can’t maintain free speech principles. That’s perfectly appropriate. Spray-painting “KILL TRUMP” on walls, smashing ATMs, assaulting people – that’s not appropriate behavior in any civilized society. And for those doing the spraypainting and smashing and assaulting to proclaim that they’re anti-fascist is patently insane. Forget Yiannopoulos – the issue is the left. And they’re out of control.  DailyWire

Over 1,000 Police Officers In Anti-Terror Raid In Central Germany

1,100 police officers to arrest 16, must be a no go zone.  Too little too late, but a good start anyhow.  It is an election year in Germany.

Some 1,100 German police officers conducted surprise raids on 54 flats, mosques, and industrial facilities in a large-scale operation that nabbed 16 terrorist suspects on Wednesday, including a recruiter and human trafficker linked to Islamic State.

Today’s operation in the central German state of Hesse followed a separate night raid in Berlin on Tuesday that led to the detention of three suspects with alleged links to Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), local media reports.

Sixteen suspects from 16 to 46 years old were detained in several cities, including Frankfurt, Offenbach, and Darmstadt. They are being investigation for having possible links to Islamic State, according to Bild RT

Three suspects with alleged links to the Islamic State terrorist group have been arrested in Berlin. Prior to the arrests – a mosque, which Christmas market attacker Anis Amri frequented – was raided, according to media reports.

Berlin police arrested three people late Tuesday, the Bild newspaper reported, citing the prosecutor’s office.

German security agencies are reportedly investigating an alleged “state-threatening” offence, however it remained unclear whether the suspects had any concrete plans to carry out an attack in Berlin. All of them are being investigated on suspicion of radicalism and links to Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group.RT
