This Assistant Principal’s behavior is unacceptable!
Video: Assistant Principal of a Top Ranked School Yells at Students (Content warning: Rough language)
If you want a perfect example of an angry, childish liberal, look no further than this video.
A brother-and-sister team, 16-year-old Conner Haines and his 19-year-old sister Lauren, recently stood on the corner sidewalk outside of a public high school in Downington, Pennsylvania, with signs and pamphlets spreading a pro-life message and preaching the tenets of Christianity to cars passing through the intersection.
Conner has his phone on record as STEM Academy’s assistant principal, Zach Ruff, comes storming up to the scene. He is clearly agitated and asks them to move off of school property. They refuse and inform Ruff they are in a public space and that really caused his anger to boil.
For 18 minutes, Ruff stood in front of the Haines to block their signs as he waved to students and parents driving off. But he continually engaged with them and his actions became stranger and increasingly outlandish.
At one point, Conner tells him that unborn babies are the image bearers of God, to which Ruff responds, “You can go to hell where they are, too,” pointing at the anti-abortion signs.
Ruff then unloads, telling them there hasn’t been a single pregnancy in the school for five years and no one has had an abortion under his watch.
“These children are being murdered,” Conner insisted.
“They’re not children, they’re cells,” Ruff exploded, reminding them they are at a science-based school. “Go home!”
Ruff accused the teens of harassing him, although he was the one that approached aggressively. But when Ruff was proselytized to by Conner, that’s when he really came unhinged:
“Listen here son, all right, I’m as gay as the day is long and twice as sunny. I don’t give a f*** what you think Jesus tells me and what I should and should not be doing.” TruthRevolt
Patricia McGlone, director of public information for the Downingtown School District, told WCAU that Ruff will remain on leave pending a formal investigation and that parents will have the opportunity to express their concerns.
“We do not condone or support the conduct expressed in the video and are deeply disappointed that this incident occurred,” the school’s statement read. “His conduct does not represent the values of the school district or the respect we expect our employees to show for the civil rights of others.” TheBlaze
Would the professor be as offended if the student was reading the Koran or Marx?
After the Bible incident, the student MarkHolden withdrew from the class.
AUDIO: Prof forces student to stop reading Bible before class
A history professor at Northern Arizona University was triggered by seeing a student reading his Bible in the few minutes before class started and called a department head in to force him to stop. Campus Reform published the audio of the conversation.
The student, Mark Holden, said he spends a few minutes of his free time before class studying the Bible. His professor, Dr. Heather Martel, objected and asked him to put it away. When he didn’t, Martel sicced History Department Chair Derek Heng on Holden and the student recorded the exchange.
“So, Prof. Martel says that she doesn’t want you sitting in front of her because you put, you know, a Bible out, right?” Heng said. He then explained that he isn’t aware of the full “dynamics” of the classroom, but implied his Bible reading may be a hindrance to the class.
“So, she doesn’t want me in the front because I have my Bible out?” Holden asked.
Heng’s response shifted, “No, I think she, I mean, well why do you have your Bible out anyway?”
Holden said there was five minutes until the class started and he would like to use it for personal reading. But Heng had another idea:
“So, will you, will you, will you, put your Bible away?”
As Campus Reform noted, Professor Martel had previously accused the student of disrupting her class after Holden challenged her views on cultural assimilation:
Holden told Campus Reform that he had cited news reports about two Muslim immigrants who erected a sign declaring that the Koran gives them the right to commit rape, saying he used it as an example of a case in which cultural assimilation might be desirable.
According to an email that Martel sent to Holden explaining the violation, Holden had allegedly interrupted the class multiple times and “made a scene,” only stopping after a classmate intervened.
Martel also claimed that Holden shouted out, “You work for me. I pay your salary.” However, neither the professor nor Heng responded to requests to elaborate. TruthRevolt
The Dreyfuss Initiative – Prioritizing Civics Education
“To teach our kids how to run our country, before they are called upon to run our country…if we don’t, someone else will run our country.”
– Richard Dreyfuss
The Dreyfuss Civics Initiative is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that aims to revive the teaching of civics in American public education to empower future generations with the critical-thinking skills they need to fulfill the vast potential of American citizenship.
Psychologist Paul Bloom makes the reasonable argument about the effects of empathy – trying to feel what other people feel, and its negative effects that often results in making the world worse. Bloom defines terms and lays out a substantive case that empathy is not a vital catalyst for human morality. That concern and compassion are better, particularly when making moral choices and public policy.
Bloom critiques the features of empathy. One is the spotlight effect that narrows a person’s focus often at the expense of others. That one does not see all the ramifications of a decision with a narrow focus.
Empathy is a short-term solution, he argues that rational compassion takes a broader view and favors the long-term solution. Compassion is defined by Bloom as “simply caring for people, wanting them to thrive,” a kindness that is separate from empathy. Compassion is not perfect but has fewer problems than empathy. He argues connivingly that compassion is a better guide to our everyday moral decisions. Bloom looks at empathy in diverse situations from intimate relations, violence, war… Against Empathy is thought provoking.
Israel Antiquities Authority archaeologists discovered a first of its kind 1,500-year-old mother-of-pearl tablet inscribed
with a six-branched menorah near a Roman-era temple dedicated to Augustus Caesar.
According to Gendelman [Israel Antiques Authority archaeologist ] the small slab of mother-of-pearl, likely dating from the late Roman-Byzantine period of the 4th-5th centuries CE, “points to clear Jewish presence at Caesarea during this period.”
The tablet came from what was “probably some kind of box,” he added, “I can even say probably for a Sefer Torah,” the handwritten scroll containing the first five books of the Old Testament that lie at the heart of Jewish law.
It was found near the Augusteum, the temple dedicated to Herod’s patron Augustus, which dominated the harbor in antiquity. Gendelman and his team also found Augusteum’s altar and part of a Greek inscription that has yet to be studied. TimesofIsrael
After every terrorist attack, politicians and pundits reassure us that the atrocity does not represent the true beliefs of the “moderate Muslim majority.” But how many moderates are there? And what exactly does “moderate” mean? Military instructor and researcher Hussein Aboubakr explains.
Maybe former mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake should not have given space to people “who wished to destroy.”
The number of homicides in Baltimore this year is soaring — reaching 100 before the end of April for the first time in nearly two decades — and the mayor is asking the FBI for more help.
“Murder is out of control,” said Mayor Catherine Pugh, at her weekly news briefing Wednesday. “There are too many guns on the streets. We’re looking for all the help we can get.”
The mayor met recently with the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Baltimore office and asked for additional agents to help local police battle violent crime in the city, according to the mayor’s spokesman, Anthony McCarthy. He said that could either mean bringing in more FBI agents from other field offices across the country or reassigning agents already in Baltimore to work with local police investigating violent crime.
Three people were killed in the city Monday — raising the number of homicides this year to 101, according to police. And with the warmer months approaching, it’s only expected to get worse. CNN
John Brennan colluded with British and Estonian spies who sought to manufacture Trump-Russia ties to cripple and bring down Trump’s candidacy. Brenna did not act autonomously.
Although Russians may have aspired to influence the November election, the real election meddlers were Democrats in the Obama administration who conspired with foreign intelligence agencies against Donald Trump’s campaign, new media reports suggest.
The key player, we are learning, is the already infamous John O. Brennan but FBI Director James Comey also played a role. From January 2009 to March 2013, Brennan was Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and then Director of the Central Intelligence Agency from March 2013 until Obama’s last day as president.
George Neumayr explains at the American Spectator how pro-Islam, pro-Communist Brennan appears to have masterminded the operation.
Seeking to retain his position as CIA director under Hillary, Brennan teamed up with British spies and Estonian spies to cripple Trump’s candidacy. He used their phony intelligence as a pretext for a multi-agency investigation into Trump, which led the FBI to probe a computer server connected to Trump Tower and gave cover to [then-National Security Advisor] Susan Rice, among other Hillary supporters, to spy on Trump and his people.
Drawing from a news article in the Guardian (UK), Neumayr adds:
Brennan got his anti-Trump tips primarily from British spies but also Estonian spies and others. The story confirms that the seed of the espionage into Trump was planted by Estonia. The BBC’s Paul Wood reported last year that the intelligence agency of an unnamed Baltic State had tipped Brennan off in April 2016 to a conversation purporting to show that the Kremlin was funneling cash into the Trump campaign.
Estonians were indeed tense after Trump’s seeming ambivalence about NATO on the campaign trail and the prospect that as president he might leave that former Soviet province at the mercy of Russian President Vladimir Putin. British spy agencies, too, were rife with Trump-haters. Full article at FrontPageMag
Facebook’s live-streaming service is under pressure after a father hanged his 11-month-old daughter in a murder-suicide that was beamed to thousands of viewers.
The four minutes of footage showing the child’s unbearable final moments were online for 24 hours before being removed.
The social networking site admitted last week that it had ‘to do better’ to prevent such horror being uploaded after it took over two hours to delete footage of an American killing a stranger.
The murder of the baby girl took place in the Thai resort of Phuket. Using a smartphone, Wuttisan Wongtalay, 21, recorded himself putting a rope around his daughter’s neck and hanging her. He then killed himself.
Two video clips of the disturbing incident were accessible on the father’s Facebook profile for around 24 hours…
Local media reported that Wongtalay, suspected his wife Jiranuch Trirat, 21, of having an affair and had threatened to kill her in a jealous rage earlier that day.
He is then said to have stormed out of the house with their baby, Natalie. The distraught mother saw the murder video 45 minutes after it was posted and told police. DailyMail
Video: Pamela Geller Discussing Islamization of San Diego Schools
Pamela Geller: The Islamization of public schools has been proceeding for many years.
Jewish students are the most bullied, but there are no safe places or Judaism lessons in public school. Or for Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. This is part of the escalation of the islamization of the workplace.
It is telling that the public school district is working with a designated terrorist group, CAIR.
This is nothing short short of surrender to an brutal, invading ideology.
Textbook companies have their material on Islam vetted by Islamic groups that turn them into dawah presentations, proselytizing for Islam.
Innumerable textbooks and other material used in public schools today presents a rosy and whitewashed picture of Islam, while being harshly critical of Judaism and Christianity.
Our children are being taught to despise and be ashamed of their own heritage and culture, and to think that any negative word about Islam, even in connection with jihad terror attacks, is racist and Islamophobic. This is a recipe for surrender and subjugation.
This is the federal judge that blocked the release of any recordings made at meetings of an abortion providers’ association by the Center for Medical Progress that previously revealed secretly recorded videos of Planned Parenthood.
A federal judge on Tuesday blocked a Trump administration order to withhold funding from communities that limit cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities, saying the president has no authority to attach new conditions to federal spending.
U.S. District Judge William Orrick issued the temporary ruling in a lawsuit against the executive order targeting so-called sanctuary cities. The decision will stay in place while the lawsuit works its way through court.
The Trump administration and two California governments that sued over the order disagreed about its scope during a recent court hearing.
San Francisco and Santa Clara County argued that it threatened billions of dollars in federal funding for each of them, making it difficult to plan their budgets.
“It’s not like it’s just some small amount of money,” John Keker, an attorney for Santa Clara County, told Orrick at the April 14 hearing.
Chad Readler, acting assistant attorney general, said the county and San Francisco were interpreting the executive order too broadly. The funding cutoff applies to three Justice Department and Homeland Security Department grants that require complying with a federal law that local governments not block officials from providing people’s immigration status, he said.
The order would affect less than $1 million in funding for Santa Clara County and possibly no money for San Francisco, Readler said. ABC7
Today, the rule of law suffered another blow, as an unelected judge unilaterally rewrote immigration policy for our Nation…
Sanctuary cities, like San Francisco, block their jails from turning over criminal aliens to Federal authorities for deportation.
These cities are engaged in the dangerous and unlawful nullification of Federal law in an attempt to erase our borders.
Once again, a single district judge – this time in San Francisco – has ignored Federal immigration law to set a new immigration policy for the entire country.
This decision occurred in the same sanctuary city that released the 5-time deported illegal immigrant who gunned down innocent Kate Steinle in her father’s arms…
Ultimately, this is a fight between sovereignty and open borders, between the rule of law and lawlessness, and between hardworking Americans and those who would undermine their safety and freedom. Full White House Statement at DailyMail
