Write A Letter To Terrorists! British Schoolchildren Told To ‘Respect’ Killers In New Teaching Aid

There is zero educational purpose to this.

The message is confusing and wrong.  The answer to hurt feelings when you feel you are being treated “unfairly and not shown respect” is violence and mass murder.

School children are to understand and write a letter to a terrorist.
Appeasement lives on in Britain.

A new teaching aid that recommends schoolchildren as young as seven “write a letter to a terrorist” to help understand their motives has been condemned as “dangerous and misguided”.

The book, Talking About Terrorism, published weeks before the Manchester Arena atrocity, describes the indiscriminate mass murder of innocent members of the public as a “type of war.”

It tells primary age children that terrorists kill people because they believe they are being treated “unfairly and not shown respect”.

It gives examples of “terrorists” whose ideas then turn out to be right: “The Suffragettes used violence and were called terrorists,” it stated.

In an activity recommended for pupils aged seven to 11, teachers are urged to “invite children to write a letter to a terrorist. If they could ask a terrorist six questions, what would they be?”

The book, published by Brilliant Publications and containing a foreword by Peter Wanless, the chief executive of the NSPCC, has been slammed by critics who say it is potentially dangerous.

Chris McGovern, chairman of the Campaign for Real Education, said the letter task would confuse and potentially upset pupils.

He said: “This a crackpot idea based on the misguided notion that primary school children must engage with, and show “respect” for, religious fanatics who are seeking to kill them. Express

Canada Has Dozens Of Jihadists Walking Free, Yet Authorities Won’t Charge Them

Jihadis on the loose is not just a Canadian problem.

Leftist globalist are nation-killing sedition bent on the destruction of Western nations.

Could a Manchester-style attack happen here in Canada? The answer, sadly, is a resounding “yes.”

Asking why it hasn’t happened yet is perhaps more to the point. That’s because we’ve already got jihadists like Salman Abedi, the 22-year-old behind the horrific concert attack, right here on home turf. Dozens of them. Perhaps over a hundred.

How do we know this? Because the heads of our security agencies say so. They’ve compiled the lists, they have the names and have some sense of where the radicals are at. The only thing they haven’t done is charge them.

Last March, CSIS director Michel Coulombe testified in front of a Senate committee that, at the time, there were 60 Canadians known to have returned home from going abroad to participate in terror activities.

These included paramilitary exercises, receiving jihadi training, providing logistical support for operations and more. Basically, they went to terrorist training camp. Then they came home. “Ticking time bomb” is the accurate phrase to describe this situation.  TorontoSun

“If jihadists say they’re sorry and their moms promise to keep them on the straight and narrow, the RCMP opt not to charge them.”

Despite all this, it’s clear Canada also just isn’t committed to going all in to charge these guys. RCMP commissioner Bob Paulson confirmed as much in remarks he gave to media last year.

“If we’re not getting the evidence, are we satisfying the safety issues by surveillance and other techniques while we collect the evidence or are there alternative ways of keeping communities safe by direct interventions with the individual or his family?” Paulson said last March. “In other cases, we’ve assessed that they’re back, they’re sorry, they’re working to try to get their heads straight and we’re relying on family members or other professionals.”

That’s right. If jihadists say they’re sorry and their moms promise to keep them on the straight and narrow, the RCMP opt not to charge them. It’s madness.

Back in the summer of 2015 the standing Senate committee on national security and defence released a report on countering terrorism.

Here’s recommendation 19: “The Government encourage police and Crown prosecutors to enforce provisions of the Criminal Code in all relevant matters involving terrorism in the criminal pre-criminal space.”

Yes, a government report actually had to humbly suggest that we actually enforce anti-terrorism laws.

That was two years ago. The worst part of it all is that it looks like nothing has changed. What will it take?  TorontoSun

Jerusalem Dig Sheds Light On 2,000-Year-Old Eating Habits

Ancient Jerusalemites from the Second Temple period were kosher and dined primarily on sheep and goat, while cows and chickens came in a distant second and third, Tel Aviv University researchers reported in the most comprehensive study of its kind.

Gadot, a senior lecturer at the university’s department of archeology said on Sunday that the protracted dig took place some 800 meters from the Temple Mount.

“We began digging three years ago in a [ancient] landfill devoted to garbage disposal during the Roman occupation,” he said by phone. “One of the main components found there was food waste, including over 12,000 animal bones, of which we identified 5,000.”

An exhaustive analysis of the bones determined that Jerusalem’s ancient inhabitants strictly adhered to kosher dietary laws and primarily consumed sheep and goat meat.

“We found no pork bones or shellfish whatsoever and that 70 to 80% of the bones were from sheep and goat, with a little cow and chicken bones,” Gadot said.

“What was surprising was that there were no pigeon bones, because we know that they were [breeding] pigeons and that it was quite a big industry,” he said. “In the other landfills closer to the Temple Mount, past researchers found a lot of pigeon bones, and now we understand that they were not bred for food, but rather for cultic activities on the Temple Mount.”

Gadot added that a substantial amount of vegetable and fruit remnants, including figs and dates, were also found in the City of David landfill, although the researchers focused primarily on animal refuse.

“They were definitely eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, wheats and barleys, which we will study in future research,” he said.

Gadot said the cuts of meat from the animals indicates that the inhabitants of the ancient city were decidedly middle class.

“The better parts of the animals were not consumed, which shows us that they were not very rich and not very poor,” he said. “When you go to a restaurant, you see the good cuts of the animal, and we didn’t see that here.”

According to Gadot, the livestock, which were raised in herds nearby, were slaughtered at a facility in the capital.

“You can see by the marks on the bones how they were slaughtered,” he said. “We already had a basic idea of the diet then, but when you conduct research at a garbage dump, you see everything, so this is the most comprehensive study of its kind.”

Apart from the animal bones, Gadot said numerous antiquities, including coins and broken pottery, were discovered during the dig. JPost

Some Gave All

Memorial Day’s history began with the Civil War

Originally called Decoration Day, the Memorial Day holiday officially recognizes all who died as members of the U.S. armed forces.

It’s not to be confused with Veterans Day, which celebrates all who have served or are serving, living or dead.

Memorial Day had its beginnings at the end of the Civil War, when the North and South went about commemorating the dead who fell in what remains the bloodiest war in American history.

An estimated 620,000 soldiers died. That’s more than 200,000 more who died in World War II.

And another 1.1 million were wounded between 1861 and 1865. Those are staggering figures for a nation that, at the outbreak of the Civil War, numbered 31 million.

To put that in perspective, if you adjust those figures to the population in the U.S. today (315 million), it would translate into well more than 6 million dead and 11 million wounded.

One of the survivors of the Civil War was Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., who, as a Union officer, was thrice wounded at the Battle of Ball’s Bluff, Antietam, and Chancellorsville, respectively. Holmes later became a member of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Holmes gave a Memorial Day speech on May 30, 1884, in Keene, N.H., where he concluded by saying:

“Our dead brothers still live for us, and bid us think of life, not death — of life to which in their youth they lent the passion and joy of the spring. As I listen, the great chorus of life and joy begins again, and amid the awful orchestra of seen and unseen powers and destinies of good and evil our trumpets sound once more a note of daring, hope, and will.”

Norway Orders Palestinian Authority To Return Funds: No Aid For The Glorification Of Terrorist Attacks

Good for Norway.

Norway has ordered the Palestinian Authority to return funding provided to the entity for a youth center as part of a joint initiative together with the United Nations and the Women’s Technical Affairs Committee, an NGO in the Palestinian Authority.

Norway didn’t realize when it provided funding for the center that it would be named after Dalal Mughrabi, the terrorist who in 1978 led a group of operatives who hijacked a bus and slaughtered 37 Israelis, including 12 children, in the attack that became known as the Coastal Road Massacre.

The joint cooperation of the Norwegian government with the Palestinian Authority in supporting the Dalal Mughrabi Center is clear in a sign on the building, as shown in news coverage by the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news site, and detailed coverage by the Palestinian Media Watch

The purpose of the center is to “focus especially on the history of the struggle of Martyr Dalal Mughrabi and on presenting it to the youth groups,” according to Ma’an.

Brende said in a statement, “‘The glorification of terrorist attacks is completely unacceptable, and I deplore this decision in the strongest possible terms. Norway will not allow itself to be associated with institutions that take the names of terrorists in this way. We will not accept the use of Norwegian aid funding for such purposes.” JewishPress

San Diego Schools Sued Over Anti-Islamophobia Campaign

Islamic indoctrination.  Is the true history of Islam being taught?

This is an establishment of religion by the school and should never be allowed.

Muslim safe spaces, increased lessons on Islam during social studies classes, and other measures will be adopted by San Diego Unified School District to combat bullying. WashingtonTimes

Cair is funded by the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group.  So Cair conducts a fake study claiming that Muslims are being bullied and then uses it to force the Islamization of American schools.

The Council for American-Islamic Relations and school officials in southern California collaborated on a “holistic” approach to bullying that will likely be implemented this fall. The changes, which include adding Muslim holidays to school calendars, are the result of a study directed by the San Diego school board in July 2016.  WashingtonTimes

San Diego Schools Sued

Six parents have sued the San Diego school district, alleging that its anti-Islamophobia campaign favors Islam over other religions and grants special protections to Muslim students.

Charles LiMandri, an attorney for the parents, called the campaign a “politically correct solution to a problem that does not exist.”

The plan drew little attention when the board approved it 4-0 on April 4, with one member absent. Public comments from staff and community members were uniformly positive. Pushback gradually spread in conservative media and on social media, with many critics calling it an unwanted intrusion of Muslim beliefs and culture.

The San Diego Unified School District said Thursday that it does not comment on pending litigation but district officials have vigorously defended the plan in recent weeks, saying bullying of Muslim students was pervasive and vastly underreported. As criticism mounted, the district posted extensive explanations on its website, saying it wasn’t endorsing Islam and that its initiative responded to community concerns expressed last summer about the safety of Muslim students. Britain’s Jihadi Problem Much Larger Than Thought

23,000 on the radar of counter-terror agencies in Britain!  If they are not citizens they should be deported.

Salman Abedi , the Manchester suicide bomber, used student loan and benefits to fund terror plot.

Single able-bodied young men should not receive welfare benefits.

Up to 23,000 people have emerged on the radar of British counter-terror agencies, according to figures released Friday by U.K. security forces.

British authorities revealed that 500 investigations into 3,000 individuals were ongoing in the wake of Monday’s terror attack in Manchester. Security sources claim that another 20,000 people have been considered “subjects of interest” at some point in time, the Press Association reported Saturday.

Britain’s domestic counter-intelligence and security agency MI5 considered Salman Abedi, the suicide bomber in the attack,  a “former subject of interest” who was “subject to review.” Despite being flagged to authorities on at least five separate occasions, they did not regard Abedi as an imminent threat.

Khalid Masood, the man who killed five people in the March Westminster attack, was in the same category of people who are no longer subject to any surveillance due to a lack of resources.  DailyCaller

$80M Anti-Trump Network Spearheaded by Soros-Funded Org With Former ACORN Employees

Investigations into the criminal activity and the non-profit tax exempt status of these organizations needs to happen.

A new $80 million anti-Trump network is being led by an organization whose top funder is liberal billionaire George Soros and which employs former members of the controversial and now-defunct Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

The Center for Popular Democracy Action Fund, the 501(c)(4) sister organization of the Center for Popular Democracy (CPD), a New York-based nonprofit that receives the bulk of its funding from George Soros, announced at their spring gala Tuesday that they will be heading up the new $80 million anti-Trump network that will span 32 states and have 48 local partners, CNN reported.

The network will seek to mobilize new voters and fight voter identification laws. It will also focus on gerrymandering and automatic voter registration programs with an eye on the 2018 and 2020 election cycles. FreeBeacon

Hollywood’s Big Summer Movies – None Were Filmed In The USA

Many of the films made in other countries avoid paying American wages.

This summer’s biggest-budget films have everything moviegoers have come to expect from Hollywood blockbusters: superheroes, pirates, space aliens. But in the truest sense of the term, none of them is a Hollywood movie.

Despite a major effort by Los Angeles over the last two years to lure film production back to where it started, producers continue to make big-budget movies elsewhere, saying they get better tax breaks and subsidies outside of Hollywood.

As a result, the summer’s movies come from all over the globe. Warner Bros. filmed “Wonder Woman” and “King Arthur” in Britain, where the Time Warner Inc studio owns a large production space. Twenty-First Century Fox Inc’s movie studio chose Australia for “Alien: Covenant.” Walt Disney Co’s Marvel Studios rolled its cameras in Georgia [the country] for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” one of six superhero movies it has filmed near Atlanta.

“The support we get in Georgia [the country] is tremendous,” Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said in an interview. “We’re certainly doing many of our biggest films there well through this year and into next year.”

Twenty-five years ago, most big-budget films were filmed primarily in Los Angeles. Since then, to lure production, locations across the United States and around the globe have begun offering tax credits or rebates of up to 40 percent of local production spending, a sizable savings on action films that cost up to $250 million to make.

Thirty-two U.S. states and dozens of foreign countries now offer tax credits or rebates, plus other benefits such as waivers of permit fees.

Along with subsidies, the small, former Soviet country of Georgia offers another perk to filmmakers.

“We have many derelict, abandoned small villages or factories. They are mostly state-owned still, and you can easily just blow (them) up,” said Sophio Bendiashvili, head of the country’s film rebate program, at a conference last month hosted by the Association of Film Commissioners International. This Professor Was Arrested As Alleged Antifa Bike Lock Attacker

The sleuthing capacity of  4Chan users shows the masks and disguises worn by Berkeley violent Antifa paid agitators did not work.  The police should tell protesters to remove their masks and disguises at a protest or arrest them.

4Chan users matched the former professor’s facial structure, jeans brand, shoes and backpack straps to that of the assailant. Berkeley Police arrested Clanton over a month after 4Chan’s evidence surfaced. DailyCaller

A philosophy professor who was a teaching assistant at San Francisco State University between 2013 and 2015 and also taught philosophy and ethics classes at Diablo Valley College in 2015, was arrested on suspicion of using a metal bike lock to assault supporters of President Trump at a Patriot Day rally in Berkeley in April.

Videos of the incident surfaced, allowing investigators to identify Eric Clanton, 28, hooded and masked while allegedly smashing at least three Trump supporters in the head according to police, who attested that the assaults caused “significant injuries.”

Clanton is charged with three counts of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon that isn’t a firearm and assault causing bodily injury. On Thursday, he was booked in Berkeley Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail; he was scheduled for arraignment Friday morning in Oakland.

The 4Chan website identified Clanton, according to Berkeleyside, which interviewed Berkeley Police Capt. Ed Spiller. Spiller said Clanton had been under investigation before his arrest. According to KPIX, police said catching the bike-lock attacker was such a priority that they put homicide detectives on the job. Berkeley Police Lt. Kevin Schofield said, “You’re swinging a small metal object that can absolutely cause traumatic injuries.”  DailyWire

Egypt Launches Air Strikes On ‘Terrorist Camps’ In Libya In Response To Attack On Coptic Christians

At least 26 Coptic Christians were killed and 26 others injured earlier Friday when gunmen opened fire on a bus heading to the Monastery of St. Samuel the Confessor, located south of Cairo.

Gunmen opened fire on two buses and a truck carrying Coptic Christians in Minya, Egypt on Friday, killing at least 26, including children. Some 26 people were also injured in the attack.

The group of between eight and 10 gunmen, reportedly dressed in military uniforms according to eyewitnesses, approached the convoy in three four-wheel-drive pickup trucks before opening fire, according to local media reports and the Egyptian Interior Ministry. RT

Egypt strike terrorist camps in Libya

Egyptian fighter jets have struck militant camps following the deadly attack on Egypt’s Coptic Christians, President Abdel Fattah Sisi has announced. The strikes were carried out in eastern Libya, state television said.

Egypt’s president also vowed to continue striking bases used to train militants and who carry out terrorist attacks in his country, regardless of the camps’ location.

He also reiterated that the countries financing, training and arming terrorists should not get away unpunished.

“We will not hesitate to protect our people from the evil,” he said in a televised speech on Friday.

“Egypt will not hesitate in striking any camps that harbor or train terrorist elements whether inside Egypt or outside Egypt,” the al-Ahram news agency quoted Sisi as saying.

Egypt carried out six air strikes in Derna in eastern Libya, state television reported adding that it is where the militants who carried out the deadly attack on the Coptic Christians were trained.

Following the Libyan incursion, Egyptian armed forces released a short video which was aired on state television following the president’s speech. The voiceover in the army video said its air force carried out strikes on targets in Libya “after confirming their involvement in planning and committing the terrorist attack in Minya governorate on Friday.”

Egypt’s military said that the air strikes are ongoing, local media reports. RT

Davidson College Students Furious After They’re Tricked Into Rejecting Socialist Ideal

Hypocrisy.

Many students at Davidson College recently responded in anguish and outrage after some conservative students filmed a video asking people on campus if they would sign a petition to redistribute GPAs for the sake of “education equality.”

Many students refused to sign the petition, saying it wasn’t fair for a variety of reasons, including that people who earned their As should keep their As, and that students who are given good grades without hard work might not be inspired to improve.

But after students discovered later the petition was a hoax played on them by conservative students in an attempt to illustrate the unfairness of wealth distribution, they hastily called a teach-in at the campus union at which they denounced the effort and vented their frustration. The College Fix
