New York Terror Truck Driver From Uzbekistan

Update:

President Trump has called for Congress to immediately begin working to eliminate the diversity visa lottery program.

“I am today starting the process of terminating the diversity lottery program,” Mr. Trump said Tuesday morning prior to a meeting with his full Cabinet at the White House. “I am going to ask Congress to immediately initiate work to get rid of this program.”

Chain Migration

The president said Saipov was “the primary point of contact for 23 people who came in with him” and speculated whether his family, too, could pose a threat to the United States– “They could. They certainly could,” Mr. Trump said. Sanfrancisco CBS

Evil.

Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov entered the US under the Diversity Visa Progam. President Trump and Republicans are trying to replace the Diversity Visa Program with a Merit-Based Immigration System.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) introduced in Febrary 2017 the RAISE Act, which states:

“To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to establish a skills-based immigration points system, to focus family-sponsored immigration on spouses and minor children, to eliminate the Diversity Visa Program, to set a limit on the number of refugees admitted annually to the United States, and for other purposes.”

The man who allegedly ran down cyclists and pedestrians along 17 Manhattan blocks pledged his allegiance to ISIS before his attack, it has emerged.

Police sources say Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29, entered a bicycle path at Houston Street at 3.05pm and drove downtown, knocking down victims before smashing into a school bus at  Chambers Street, exiting and shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’.

He then waved a paintball gun in one hand and a pellet gun in the other, and was shot in the abdomen by a police officer. He has now exited surgery and police are waiting for him to wake up before they question him.

Images of ISIS flags were found in his truck, as well as handwritten notes pledging his allegiance to the terrorist group, insiders told the New York Post.

As the horrific toll – currently at eight dead and at least 15 injured, including one child in critical condition – climbed up, details began to emerge about Saipov’s life.

He was an Uzbekistan native who had lived in the US for seven years, ran two trucking companies and was a ‘friendly’ Uber driver, sources claim.

And although he was reportedly found with a Florida ID when arrested, he had lived most recently in New Jersey and ran two trucking companies located in Ohio.

He was also said to be a friendly Uber driver who was good with kids – and did not like people taking his photo.

Germany Deportation Center Costing Nearly $3,000,000 Deports Only 84 Migrants A Year

Job security.

The regional government in Hamburg relocated their deportation detention centre last year and so far the new location has cost 2.4 million euros, despite only facilitating the deportation of fewer than a hundred people.

The new facility, which places failed asylum seekers and illegal migrants in detention to await their deportation, opened in October 2016, located at the Hamburg international airport, and has so far led to the deportation of a mere 84 migrants, Hamburger Morgenpost reports.

The report comes after a formal request into the matter by Cansu Özdemir, a local member of the Left Party, who said that the costs associated with the deportation centre were “enormously high”. BreitBart

Burkas, Niqabs Pose A Public Safety Risk

Calling someone a racist does not win an argument. It usually shows that person has no substantive response to offer.

The slur of “racism” has been hurled at Muslims who support Quebec’s Bill 62 — the new law banning face coverings, for example the burka and niqab, when giving or receiving government services.

From Ontario Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne to Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown, many white politicians and liberal media commentators have been quick to label any support of Bill 62 racist.

Since I, a Muslim, support Bill 62, I guess that makes me a racist.

Public Safety Issue

But none of the attacks on Quebec’s burka/niqab ban were more disingenuous than one told by a well-coiffed hijabi on Canadian television recently, dismissing the public safety aspect of people wearing facemasks.

This young Muslim woman claimed there has not been a single incident where someone wearing a burka committed a crime.

To set the record straight, here are just a few examples of criminal activities committed by men and women wearing burkas and other face coverings in Canada:

  • Two months ago, on Aug. 17, 2017, an armed robbery took place at a Scotia Bank branch in Milton, Ontario. Police said one of the two suspects was wearing a balaclava.
  • On Sept. 9, 2015, two burka-wearing male teens charged into a Toronto bank in the Yonge Street and Highway 401 area. Both were later arrested in Ajax.
  • On Oct. 14, 2014, two men wearing burkas robbed a Toronto jewelery store in the York Mills and Leslie Street area, and walked away with $500,000 worth of gold and precious stones.
  • On Aug. 18, 2010 an armed robbery by two masked men took place at a Scotiabank branch in Vaughan, north of Toronto.
  • Ottawa police have in the past cited a handful of robberies in that city involving male suspects using Muslim women’s religious garments as disguises.

Some of us will never forget how a young Toronto Muslim woman, Bano Shahdady, threw off her burka as she was divorcing her husband, only to be stalked by him disguised in a burka. He entered her apartment building and killed her in July 2011.

It was a story few media were willing to delve into, but because I knew the family, one journalist did report about this burka-related murder that almost went unreported.

Around the world, numerous criminals have fled arrest wearing burkas, everywhere from London’s Heathrow airport to the infamous Lal Masjid armed revolt by jihadis in Islamabad. MeForum

Saudi Arabia To Vet Use Of Prophet’s Sayings To Counter Terrorism

The Saudis are admitting that Mohammad’s statements are being used to “justify violence and terrorism”.   Violence and terrorism is a part of Islam; the worst version of Islam, certainly, but Islam nonetheless.

Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, is to monitor interpretations of the Prophet Mohammad’s teachings to prevent them being used to justify violence or terrorism, the Culture and Information Ministry has said.

In a decree, King Salman ordered the establishment of an authority to scrutinize uses of the “hadith” – accounts of the sayings, actions or habits of the Prophet that are used by preachers and jurists to support teachings and edicts on all aspects of life.

The ministry said late on Tuesday that the body’s aim would be to “eliminate fake and extremist texts and any texts that contradict the teachings of Islam and justify the committing of crimes, murders and terrorist acts”.

The body will be based in Medina and overseen by a council of senior Islamic scholars from around the world, according to the decree. The ministry offered no specific details of how it would work in practice. Reuters

French Consulate In Jerusalem Awards ‘Human Rights’ Prize To Terrorist’s Proud Father

A new low.

The father of Baha Alyan, killer of three Israelis in Jerusalem’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood in October 2015, has won the prize for best international human rights attorney, presented by the French International Institute for Human Rights and Peace.

The father of Baha Alyan, killer of three Israelis in Jerusalem’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood in October 2015, has won the prize for best international human rights attorney, presented by the French International Institute for Human Rights and Peace.

Alyan won the French International Institute for Human Rights and Peace award for defending the wife a terrorist.

Alyan enjoyed the opportunity of delivering an acceptance speech at the award ceremony before numerous human rights activists, diplomats and lawmakers from France, Belgium and Canada. Alyan won the prize for having defended the wife of another terrorist, Nadia Abu Jamaal, widow of Ghassan Abu Jamaal, who joined in the vicious attack on a synagogue in Jerusalem’s Har Nof neighborhood in November 2014. As with his own son, Alyan’s client was killed by Israeli security forces. But Abu Jamal managed to take the lives of five Jewish worshippers — four of them rabbis — and a Druze police officer — before he was neutralized.

Alyan’s speech included how proud he was of his terrorist son.

In his speech, Alyan said he was “proud” of what his son did, according to video footage translated by Palestinian Media Watch. He also claimed that “Ghassan was shot dead by ‘occupation police’ [Israeli police] on the pretext he was killing Israelis in Jerusalem. The police did not stop at executing Ghassan without a trial and mere hours after the incident very large forces of police, Border Police and special units surrounded the home and searched it to the astonishment of the wife and children. They did not know what was going on, and did not know that from that moment on their lives would turn into hell, as a security officer told the wife as he wreaked havoc on the home.

“The officer informed Abu Jamaal that her husband ‘had been killed and that his body was being withheld and would be placed in a refrigerator until further notice’,” Alyan claimed in his speech. “The torture did not stop at this point but continued and intensified until it was no longer bearable, as Nadia was informed that occupation authorities would demolish her family home, located in a beautiful place in Jabel Mukaber,” an Arab neighborhood in Jerusalem.

The mother of Lt. Shir Hajaj, a young woman who was murdered by another Arab terrorist in a ramming attack in Armon Hanatziv this past January, told the Israel Hayom newspaper in response to Alyan’s speech:

“This is an absurd situation that we are trying to prevent. The son committed murder and the father receives money and prizes. He’s become a public figure who leads fights against Israel, instead of fearing for his status in the state. This is unreasonable. This is intolerable.” JewishPress

Leftist Oakland Radicals Worked With ISIS, New Book Reports

The left and radical Islam are united in their hate of America.

Former Editor in Chief of the New York Times Magazine Edward Klein has a new book that will be released tomorrow October 30th. In All Out War: The Plot to Destroy TrumpKlein reveals an FBI investigation proving coordination between American college campus far left radicals and Islamic terrorists from groups such as ISIS and Al Qaeda.

What started as a secret investigation into the “resistance” movement spurred by college socialists and anarchists in response to Trump’s political rise, led to the discovery of what the FBI is calling the “the greatest challenge to law enforcement since the Weather Underground and the Black Panther Party.”…

Last summer the FBI began investigating international radical groups such as ANTIFA and other anarchist groups. However, activity from organizations in Oakland piqued the interest of authorities.  TownHall

The Six Commandments? UK Christians Feel Four Of The Ten Are No Longer Important

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” Colossians 2:8

The impact on religious belief by a liberal society and secular humanism.

“To accept the liberal settlement is to accept institutions, ideas and practices whose influence over our lives and our children’s lives will be broad, deep and relentless: family life, religious life and paradigmatically private associations take on the colour of liberal values.” Stephen Macedo in Liberal Virtues

The ten commandments are a central tenet of the Christian faith.

But research has revealed that just six of them are still important to British Christians.

Most Christians believe that four of the commandments are not “important principles to live by” according to a YouGov poll.

The four which have fallen by the wayside are the requirement not to worship idols, use the Lord’s name in vain, to worship no other God, and to keep the Sabbath day holy.

Less than one in three Christians believe in preserving Sunday as a day of rest, with 38 per cent against using the Lord’s name in vain and 43 per cent condemning the worshipping of idols.

But most Christians, in common with the general public, still believe that it’s wrong to disobey your father and mother, commit adultery, covet others’ possessions, bear false witness, steal and commit murder.

Stealing and killing were the most widely condemned transgressions, with 94 per cent of Christians and 93 per cent of non-religious people believing those commandments are still important and relevant.

On Tuesday the Archbishop of Canterbury signalled support for a day of rest, tweeting that he was “encouraged” by the Chief Rabbi’s campaign for people to spend time offline over the Sabbath.

While almost half of Catholics said they supported keeping the Sabbath day holy, just 29 per cent of Protestants said they felt the same.

The Bishop of Chelmsford, Stephen Cottrell, said: ” In an age as busy, frantic and feverish as ours I would have thought that keeping the Sabbath, or at the very least observing a balance between work and rest and play was more important than ever.

Sabbath is both a radical idea and a practically useful idea for it simply acknowledges that we need to rest and we need to play. Indeed, it says this is what we are made for.”

He also lamented Christians’ abandonment of the commandment about idolatry, saying: “Whether it is celebrity, wealth, a certain designer label pair of jeans jeans or a make of car, we have all construct a sense of worth in the desire to own and possess certain things that we believe will give value.

“None of it works; or perhaps more accurately we should say it works just enough to get you hooked. Without being warned of the dangers of idolatry, we just become a society of junkies.” Telegraph

Video: Some Commandments Obsolete? | The View
(at 4:20 mark)

During Friday’s episode of the ABC daytime talk show “The View,” a name was censored in a way that was far more offensive than if it had been allowed to be said.

The hosts were discussing a British study that showed that many of the U.K.’s Christian citizens wanted to ignore four of The Ten Commandments, when co-host Paula Faris, a Christian, explained how things were in her house when she was a kid.

“My parents were really strict about what we said in the home. We couldn’t say “Oh my God,” we couldn’t say “JC,” we couldn’t say “(Jesus),” she explained. But the show censored Jesus’s name from the broadcast. BizPacReview

Google Partners With George Soros Funded Fact-Checking Service To Fight ‘Fake News’

Google will decide what is fake news through the lens of George Soros.  Any news they object to will be shut down on Google.

Google is partnering with the International Fact-Checking Network, an organization run by the George Soros-funded Poynter Institute.

Engadget reports that Google will be working with the Soros-funded Poynter Institute and the International Fact-Checking Network as the tech giant ramps up efforts to prevent the spread of misinformation and “fake news.” The IFCN runs an annual fact-checking conference, funds fellowships, and trains fact-checkers. The group is also responsible for a number of guidelines and code of principles accepted by a wide range of media companies worldwide.

Google’s partnership with the IFCN has three main aims: increasing the number of fact-checkers reviewing information, expanding the IFCN’s current code of principles in new regions, and offering free fact-checking tools to Google users to verify the information that they find on Google’s search engine.

In order to increase the number of fact-checkers reviewing information on Google’s platform, the company plans to fund new fact-checking organizations, organize workshops around the world, and provide coaching to potential fact-checkers. Google discussed this plan, saying, “Ultimately, these partners can help make sure that the content on Google Search and Google News has been accurately fact-checked.” BreitBart

Harvard-Educated Cell Biologist: Let’s Replace Darwin By Studying DNA And Genetics

Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson is taking on Darwin.  Since the publication of Darwin’s On the Origin of Species in the mid-19th Century new fields of science have emerged – modern scientific research and genetics.

Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson of Answers in Genesis says his years of research into the origin of species proves the theory of evolution has serious flaws.

His current research involves using DNA comparisons to understand the true beginnings of life as we know it. The result of his ground-breaking study is found in his latest book Replacing Darwin: The New Origin of Species.
With a Ph.D. in cell and developmental biology, Dr. Jeanson is uniquely qualified to investigate what genetics reveal about origins. CBN

Darwin reached his conclusions with only 15 percent—or less of what we know today.

“You think about Darwin’s subject matter – species like giraffes, elephants, zebras – things that we all recognize. The number that he knew in 1859 was a fraction of what we know today, probably 15 percent of what we know today Darwin knew back then,” he told CBN News.

“I think for any other historical question, if you say, ‘Hey, The author of that conclusion had only access to 15 percent of the data,’ you would probably revisit it,” Jeanson continued. CBN

Modern Science Advances

“Without this genetic knowledge, could Darwin have speculated intelligently on the origin of species? If he had no idea how traits were coded and inherited each generation, could he have identified the origin of a particular trait? Before the advent of genetics, would his explanation have had any hope of being accurate? . . . When Darwin wrote his most famous work, he took a scientific risk of massive proportions.” – Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson

Jeanson argues that Darwin’s risk was magnified by several developments outside the field of genetics. Darwin’s original arguments leaned heavily on the fossil record, on the geographic distribution of species, and on comparisons of these species at the anatomical and embryological levels. Jeanson chronicles advances in each of these fields that recast Darwin’s original conclusions.

These advances served to underscore the significance of recent genetic findings. When the human genome was finally mapped in 2001, it became possible for the first time to reach the answer to the bigger origins question. “Since traits are ultimately encoded by DNA, the origin of species is a question of the origin of DNA differences within and between species,” Jeanson explains. “The answer to this question reveals whether a fish can spawn a spider—and whether it ever did . . . . In other words, the answer to the origin of species can be uncovered for the first time right now.”

Turkey Concerned With Russia’s Kurdish Policy

Tug-of-war between Russia and Turkey.

Rosneft, Russia’s main oil company, last week made a agreement “to take control of 60% of a central oil pipeline in northern Iraq and to increase its investments in the region to $3.5 billion.”

Turkey does not want the Kurds in Syria linking up with Iraqi Kurdistan and controlling large areas of northern Syria; then encouraging the ethnic Kurdish in Turkey to follow suit.

Turkey is gloating over the humiliating defeat of Iraqi Kurdish peshmerga fighters in Kirkuk by forces attached to Baghdad following the independence referendum held by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Sept. 25.

US and European opposition to the referendum in the name of preserving Iraq’s unity also pleased Ankara. Russia’s ambivalent position, however, was noted with silent disapproval.

Following the referendum, Moscow underscored its “unwavering commitment to the sovereignty, unity and integrity” of Iraq, according to a press statement issued by the Foreign Ministry. Moscow also added, however, that it “respects the national aspirations of the Kurds,” which is not what Ankara wanted to hear.

Speaking to the Kurdish daily Rudaw a few weeks before the referendum, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, “The desires and legal goals of the Kurds must be fulfilled like that of all other peoples.”

He added for good measure that the Kurds should “express their aspirations through a peaceful mechanism,” and that the goals of the referendum should also be “done peacefully … taking into account the view of Iraq’s neighbors.”

The key issue for Ankara, despite Moscow’s “unwavering commitment” to the unity of Iraq, is that Russia is not opposed to Kurdish political aspirations. Any form of self-rule, even under a federal or confederal system, is seen as a threat by Turkey, which fears the effect it will have on its restive Kurds.

Another disturbing development for Ankara was the agreement that Rosneft, Russia’s main oil company, concluded with the KRG last week to take control of 60% of a central oil pipeline in northern Iraq and to increase its investments in the region to $3.5 billion. Al-Monitor

Water, Science, And The Bible

Editor’s note: Today’s commentary is based on a talk Farah is giving to Chuck Missler’s Koinonia Institute in Idaho this weekend. Maybe you saw the headlines in January of this year. “Planet Earth makes its own water from scratch deep in the mantle” – New Scientist, Jan. 27, 2017 “Did Earth makes its OWN water deep… Continue reading “Water, Science, And The Bible”
