France Deradicalization Of Jihadists A “Total Fiasco”

A parliamentary report reveals, France’s attempts to deradicalize jihadis have been a complete failure.  Who would have guessed?

The report implies that deradicalization, either in specialized centers or in prisons, does not work because most Islamic radicals do not want to be deradicalized.

Although France is home to an estimated 8,250 hardcore Islamic radicals, only 17 submitted applications and just nine arrived. Not a single resident has completed the full ten-month curriculum.

The original plan was to build 13 deradicalization centers — known as Centers for Prevention, Integration and Citizenship at a cost of €40 million ($42 million).

The government’s first — and, until now, only — deradicalization center, housed in the Château de Pontourny, an isolated 18th-century manor in central France, opened in September 2016…

Although France is home to an estimated 8,250 hardcore Islamic radicals, only 59 people have inquired about going to Pontourny since its opening. Of those, only 17 submitted applications and just nine arrived. Not a single resident has completed the full ten-month curriculum.

One of the residents was a 24-year-old jihadist named Mustafa S., who was arrested during a counter-terrorism operation near Strasbourg on January 20, 2017. Police said he has links to one of the authors of the November 2015 jihadist attack on the Bataclan Theater in Paris. Mustafa S. was arrested while on leave from Pontourny: He was allegedly on his way to join the Islamic State in Syria.

After just five months of operation, Pontourny is now empty, even though it employs 27 people, including five psychologists, a psychiatrist and nine educators, at an annual cost of €2.5 million ($2.6 million).

Another one of the residents of Pontourny was a 24-year-old pregnant woman named Sabrina C., who lived in the facility from September 19 to December 15. She revealed to a local newspaper that she has never been radicalized but took advantage of Pontourny to escape her “family cocoon” and get some “fresh air”:

“At no time did I feel interested in any religion whatsoever. My family is Catholic, non-practicing, we go to church from time to time, but no more. My boyfriend wanted me to wear the headscarf, but I always refused.”

Sabrina’s mother said the deradicalization facility “was an opportunity for our daughter to attend vocational training, to learn cooking, to be near the animals.” Sabrina added that her stay there was a nightmare: “I wept every night, I did not feel in my place. In Pontourny, they treated me like a criminal.” She speculated that the only reason she was allowed into the facility was because the government needed “to make the numbers.”  GatestoneInstitute

Video: The Truth About Sweden

Jimmie Åkessonm the leader of the poll-topping anti-mass migration Sweden Democrats (SD) party has written an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal strongly criticizing those who dismissed President Trump’s remarks on the dire security and migration situation in Sweden.

Mr Åkesson wrote:

When President Trump last week raised Sweden’s problematic experience with open-door immigration, skeptics were quick to dismiss his claims. Two days later an immigrant suburb of Stockholm was racked by another riot. No one was seriously injured, though the crowd burned cars and hurled stones at police officers.

Mr. Trump did not exaggerate Sweden’s current problems. If anything, he understated them. Sweden took in about 275,000 asylum-seekers from 2014-16—more per capita than any other European country. Eighty percent of those who came in 2015 lacked passports and identification, but a majority come from Muslim nations. Islam has become Sweden’s second-largest religion. In Malmö, our third-largest city, Mohamed is the most common name for baby boys.

The effects are palpable, starting with national security. An estimated 300 Swedish citizens with immigrant backgrounds have traveled to the Middle East to fight for Islamic State. Many are now returning to Sweden and are being welcomed back with open arms by our socialist government. In December 2010 we had our first suicide attack on Swedish soil, when an Islamic terrorist tried to blow up hundreds of civilians in central Stockholm while they were shopping for Christmas presents. Thankfully the bomber killed only himself. WSJ

Problems in Sweden ignored

It’s easier to ignore this in Stockholm than it is in Malmö, a smaller city which has long been the first port of call for immigrants who arrive over the bridge from Denmark. On the day I arrived in Sweden, a 23-year-old was murdered in the city square there, shot in the head in front of several witnesses. It was the third such murder in six weeks. The local press tends not to report the ethnicity of the victim or suspects in such attacks, but Swedes have learnt to recognise immigrant-related gang crime when the see it. Foreigners who visit the wrong part of Sweden can pay a heavy price: last summer a British boy was killed in a grenade attack in Stockholm as he slept with his family.

If grenades were being thrown into children’s bedrooms in Birmingham or asylum centres were being torched in Surrey, the immigration debate in Britain might be a little different. The word “crisis” might be used. But what’s striking about Sweden is how defensive policymakers are when confronted about all this; how insistent they are that things are under control. As the violence affects just a sliver of society, the overall Swedish crime figures are quite small. Trouble can be buried in the data. Wider discussion about all of this is also discouraged by what’s known as Sweden’s “opinion corridor”, the narrow parameters into which public debate is confined. Those who step outside, and talk about the immigration problems, risk being accused of bigotry. Or, perhaps worse, giving succour to the populist Sweden Democrats, now supported by one in six Swedes.  Telegraph

In Denmark Man Charged With Blasphemy For Burning The Koran

Denmark has charged a man under a still-existing blasphemy law for burning a copy of the Koran.

The Center for Inquiry unequivocally condemned the charge of blasphemy brought by Danish prosecutors against a man for burning a copy of the Quran in an online video. CFI blasted the charge as an affront to the fundamental rights to freedom of belief and expression, and called upon Denmark to repeal its blasphemy law.

“The fundamental rights that allow a religious believer to freely profess the divinity of a holy book also allow someone else to defile that book, and still others to censure such an action,” said Michael De Dora, CFI’s main representative to the United Nations. “While the actions of the accused may be offensive and his sentiments ugly, real democracy is only possible with the freedom to criticize even the most deeply held beliefs.” CenterForInquiry

A man who filmed himself burning the Quran has become the first person to be charged under Denmark’s blasphemy law in 46 years.

The 42-year-old filmed himself burning a copy of Islam’s holy book in his back yard in December 2015. He then posted the video on the anti-Islamic Facebook group, “Yes to freedom – no to Islam” along with the words, “Consider your neighbour: it stinks when it burns.”

Danish prosecutor Jan Reckendorff announced his decision to bring charges in a press statement issued on Wednesday afternoon.

“It is the prosecution’s view that circumstances involving the burning of holy books such as the Bible and the Quran can in certain cases be a violation of the blasphemy clause, which covers public scorn or mockery of religion.”

This marks the fourth time in history anyone has been prosecuted under Denmark’s blasphemy clause: four people were sentenced for posting posters mocking Jewish teachings in 1938; two people were fined for carrying out a fake baptism at a masked ball in 1946; and two programme leaders at Danish Radio were exonerated in 1971 for airing a song mocking Christianity.

Danish prosecutors famously declined to invoke the country’s blasphemy laws in 2006, when the Jyllands-Posten newspaper published twelve cartoons picturing the Prophet Mohammed, the founder of Islam. TheLocal

‘White People Shouldn’t Breed’: Racist Attacker Spits In Baby’s Face Goes Free

The racially motivated attacker Rezzas Abdulla, spat in the face of a 9-month-old baby and shouted “white people shouldn’t breed”

Rezzas Abdulla approached Rebecca Telford while she was taking her baby Layla-Jean for a stroll in a pram in South Shields last January.

Prosecutor Emma Dowling told Newcastle Crown Court: “He lent into the pushchair and spat into the face of her daughter. As he did so, he shouted or said ‘white people shouldn’t breed.’”

When Telford confronted Abdulla, he told her to “shut the f*** up” and walked off, according to the Daily Mail.

The baby was said to have been covered in saliva. The spit had been “sprayed around” the baby’s face and a shocked passer-by gave Telford a tissue so that she could clean her baby up.

The court heard that Layla-Jean, now almost two, was taken to the doctor for tests after the attack due to fears that she could have contracted TB.

In a victim impact statement, Rebecca told police: “I am completely disgusted and distressed that a grown man, regardless of race or religion, would spit on a defenseless baby in a completely unprovoked attack. If he had just walked by I would not have even noticed him, there was no eye contact and no words had been exchanged. I had never seen him before.”

Abdulla, who has two previous convictions for race-hate attacks on white women, was later tracked down through CCTV.

On Tuesday, he was convicted of racially aggravated common assault after a trial at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court, which he did not attend.

Abdulla was sentenced to eight months imprisonment, suspended for 18 months, with rehabilitation and mental health treatment requirements. RT

He has two previous convictions for race-hate attacks on white women.

Despite previous crimes, Abdulla avoided a jail term on a suspended sentence and instead received rehabilitation and mental health treatment.  The infant’s mother says punishment may have been different if she had abused him.

The judge said “society in general” would be better served if Abdulla was allowed to continue his psychiatric treatment program.

No, society would be better served if Abdulla was jailed or deported.

When a Muslim does a race-based attack, they are suffering from mental problems, but if a white person does it, they are racist.

Muslim + race-based attack = mental illness.
Muslim + terrorist attack = mental illness.
Is Islam a mental illness?

Iraqi Christians Flee Islamic Terror, Get Rejected For Asylum By German-Muslim Immigration Employee

What is wrong with the German people.

Open Doors defines “persecution” as:

Christian persecution is any hostility experienced from the world as a result of one’s identification as a Christian.  From verbal harassment to hostile feelings, attitudes and actions, Christians in areas with severe religious restrictions pay a heavy price for their faith.   Beatings, physical torture, confinement, isolation, rape, severe punishment, imprisonment, slavery, discrimination in education and employment, and even death are just a few examples of the persecution they experience on a daily basis.

A tragic part of Christian persecution in the Middle East is those who have fled, find the persecution resumes in the West.  Christian fleeing finds Muslims placed in positions of power in Europe.  The gatekeepers are the same ones they are fleeing.

German broadcaster Welt24 reports, that a few days ago, German politician Wolfgang Bosbach met a Christian Iraqi family in Nordrhein-Westphalia (his constituency), who had recently applied for asylum in Germany.

Bosbach heard them tell how they had fled their country for fear of jihadist violence. Eventually, they reached the part of their story, in which they filled in their asylum application, in one of the foreign offices of the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). There, they faced a BAMF employee with a headscarf, who was going to decide whether or not they, Christians, would get protected status.

Last year, 97.000 Iraqis submitted an application for asylum in Germany. In January, 64.6% of Iraqi asylum applications were successful. The family that Bosbach met however, was rejected, and they told him they felt they were at a disadvantage because of the official who handled their case. Bosbach understood their reasoning:

“I understand the applicants’ concern that their application may not have been decided upon solely on objective and prejudice-free considerations, (…) when they are Christians telling a headscarf-wearing Muslima that they have suffered persecution by Muslims.”

To Bosbach, it doesn’t matter so much, whether or not the official in question really was prejudiced, but merely that “the applicants have reason to fear that their application might not be objectively decided.” And Bosbach is of the opinion that this fear

“is not entirely ungrounded. Therefore, I cannot understand, why only Muslims in BAMF get to decide whether or not Christians, who fled from radical Muslims, get the right to stay in the Federal Republic of Germany.”

The Ministery of Internal Affairs meanwhile, appears to agree with the BAMF. It simply does not consider the headscarf, unlike the Christian cross, to be “a religious symbol in and of itself.” Only in context can it have a comparable meaning. And even that is not considered a problem, as there is no law or regulation against the wearing of religious symbols by civil servants.  Gatestone

Merkel Offers Millions In Cash Handouts For Migrants To Return Home

Election year in Germany.

Angela Merkel will offer cash handouts worth millions of pounds for migrants to leave Germany in an effort to silence criticism of her ‘open-door’ border policy.

In a highly-embarrassing U-turn over the ill-fated plan, which saw 1.2million migrants flock to the country, Mrs Merkel has now vowed to send many of them home.

The German chancellor agreed a package of measures to speed up the deportation process for an estimated 450,000 migrants who have been rejected asylum.

The controversial plan, which marks a significant toughening of previous proposals, includes a £76million scheme that will offer migrants cash incentives to leave Germany voluntarily.

Many will see the move as a desperate attempt for Miss Merkel to claw back support ahead of her challenging re-election bid in September.

Criticism of her decision to leave Germany’s borders open and welcome all refugees during Europe’s migration crisis in 2015 has led to a surge in support for anti-immigrant parties.  DailyMail

Syrian Asylum Seeker Is Jailed For Life In Sweden

How many like Haisam Omar Sakhanh are already settled in Europe.

A Swedish court on Thursday sentenced a Syrian man to life imprisonment for participation in the 2012 mass execution of seven government troops in Syria.

The Stockholm District Court ruled that 46-year-old refugee Haisam Omar Sakhanh joined the armed group Suleiman Company in early May 2012, and shot a person dead with an assault rifle.

Judge Tomas Zander said the victim, who was not identified, was shot dead along with six others ‘under particularly cruel circumstances’.

The seven men who were shot were part of the Syrian regime who had been captured by the independent Islamist group, which was founded in 2011…

In Sweden, life imprisonment is normally ten years. The court said Sakhanh should then be expelled from the country and banned from returning. DailyMail

Nigerian ‘Refugee’ Kills 22-Year-Old Woman Volunteering At Refugee Center

Another life lost.

Swiss police have yesterday arrested a 27-year-old Nigerian asylum seeker who is suspected of stabbing a young woman to death in the German town of Ahaus. Following the brutal murder this weekend, the refugee had fled to Switzerland.

The fatal knife attack took place on Sunday night when the 22-year-old victim, named as Soopika P., was stabbed several times in the head, chest, and neck. Shortly after, she died in the hospital.

After the killing, the Germans put out a Europe-wide arrest warrant, leading to the capture of the Nigerian national in the city of Basel. “Today’s arrest of the suspect in Switzerland is a quick success,” the German Justice Ministry commented. Germany has asked Switzerland to extradite the 27-year-old, who will be interrogated following his return.

According to Bild, Soopika P. comes from an Indian background, although earlier reports mention her family originating in Sri Lanka. The woman was voluntarily working with asylum seekers in a center in her hometown of Ahaus where she may have met the attacker. The prosecutor confirmed that the Nigerian “had been trying to contact the woman” in the weeks preceding the stabbing.  Gatestone

Paris Installs Boulders Under Bridge To Prevent Makeshift Migrant Camps

Have the French considered – stop taking in migrants and deport many of those in their country?

Paris authorities placed huge boulders under a bridge where asylum-seekers set up a makeshift camp, local activists say, claiming some migrants who are waiting to be resettled have nowhere else to go and have not slept for days. The makeshift migrant camp was reportedly set up in the Porte de la Chapelle area in the north of the French capital. The camp is in front of La Chapelle refugee center, which still is coping with the mass influx of refugees and apparently cannot admit everyone.

The makeshift migrant camp was reportedly set up in the Porte de la Chapelle area in the north of the French capital. The camp is in front of La Chapelle refugee center, which still is coping with the mass influx of refugees and apparently cannot admit everyone…

L’Express newspaper received a comment from the mayor’s office, which confirmed that it was its decision to place the stones “to avoid street camping.”

A volunteer from Solidarité migrants Wilson told the paper that she talked to migrants who lived under the bridge in La Chapelle.

“They are exhausted, they [are] cold, some have not slept since Friday, we are extremely indignant,” she said, adding that another makeshift center was set up in the area on Sunday. Others took refuge in the Porte de la Chapelle metro station, she added.

The number of refugees arriving in France, however, appears to be much more than the centers are able to host. According to Asylum Information Database, which collects data on the influx of migrants, over 85,000 people applied for asylum in France in 2016.

Many asylum-seekers from the Middle East, Africa, and Afghanistan travel to France in hopes of crossing the English Channel to the UK, often having had their applications rejected elsewhere, or in expectation of better prospects in Britain than in the rest of the EU.  RT

France Deploys New Force To Take Down Drones – Birds Of Prey

Eagles seem to be the most effective way to intercept drones in cities.

The drones being targeted are small, weighing less than 2kg, and are readily available on the commercial market. Nevertheless, their use in sensitive zones – including during demonstrations and around airports – has led to accidents that prompted France and other countries to introduce restrictions on unmanned aerial vehicles, or UAVs.

The French army is using birds of prey to take down drones to protect its air bases as well as to secure public airspace in case a drone poses a threat.

Eagles were first used by the Dutch police force to intercept drones used by criminals and terrorists. Inspired by this success, the French military began training eagles for military programmes.

The pilot programme started last spring at Mont de Marsan air base in southwestern France with a team of four raptors – three females and one male. They are taught from a very young age until they become fully-trained at around 8 months, when they reach full maturity. The eagles used in France are bred using artificial insemination since eagles are a protected species and harvesting wild eggs is strictly forbidden.

Part of the training involves familiarising the eagles with the sight of drones. Even before they hatch, the eagles are surrounded by drones so they become part of their natural environment. Eventually they are taught to associate drones with being fed.

“A drone means food for these birds,” Gerald Machoukow, the military base’s falconer, told FRANCE 24’s Fanny Allard. “Now they automatically go after them.”  France24

Video: Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban Review Of 2016 And Looking Ahead To 2017

One of the best speeches by a European political leader.

Mr. Orbán talks frankly and lucidly about the major crises that are currently bedeviling Europe, including the “refugee” crisis and the heavy-handed behavior of the European Union towards the nations of Europe — which it considers its vassal states. The prime minister focuses on the primary overarching issue, which is the attempt by trans-national organizations to impose global governance on nation states. He describes the current “populist revolt” that has arisen to resist the globalists, with Brexit and the election of Donald Trump being the most recent major examples. Gates of Vienna

PM Orban:

Respected [former] President Pál Schmitt and his dear wife,  Dear Mrs. Dalma, [former] Prime Minister Peter Boros,  everyone who invited me, ladies and gentlemen. It is good to see you all again,  it is the 19th time — that is way too much, even from dumplings —

I would like to evoke the words of István Szabó, our greatly respected bishop,  in his little story, where two little boys are listening to the mass… “This is boring,”  says the smaller one, then the older boy answers: “Well, this is how supposed to be.” …

Well, dear audience, today we do not have to be afraid of that. The year 2016 was not boring, not the least bit. And the year 2017 looks rather interesting too. We had — and we will have — excitement, surprise, scratching of heads, wiping of foreheads and rubbing of eyes.

We will ask of each other: it is really possible, what unfolds before our eyes,  and takes shape? Who would have thought — just a couple of years ago — that history  would defy the prophecies, and laughingly show the fig sign to the prophets of liberal politics, and would likely show an “up yours!” to the beneficiaries and protectors of the international order: the globalists and liberals, to influential people, living in their ivory tower palaces and sitting in their television studios.  To the army of media locusts and their masters. To everybody who believed, taught and spread,  who enjoyed its gains and absorbed its revenues, that the global liberal world order is unalterable.

If the dissatisfied ones do not keep their mouths shut, or if the media fail to inhibit their voice, then they will be denounced, stigmatized and disinherited. And in this, there is no mercy, even for the new American President.  No wonder then, that the high pressure became permanent in the European Union. The valves sooner or later will seize up and stop working, and the people, lacking any other options, will revolt.

That is, they are kicking it out with their votes,
tossing out the liberal elite. This is how the world works now, respected ladies and gentlemen, respected [former] President, in the wintertime of 2017.

Sweden’s ‘First Feminist Government in the World’ Walk Of Shame

Hypocrites.  Contrast the Swedish Minister Ann Linde and her team with the German Minister Ursula von der Leyen and her team, who refused to wear a hijab during their Saudi Arabia visit.

They hide behind empty slogans like the one recently resurrected from the 1970s by Hillary Clinton: “The future is feminine” while shutting their gold—ringed ears to the cries of all women eking lives under oppressive Muslim regimes. CanadaFreePress

UN Watch, a non-governmental human rights NGO in Geneva, expressed disappointment that Sweden’s self-declared “first feminist government in the world”sacrificed its principles and betrayed the rights of Iranian women as Trade Minister Ann Linde and other female members walked before Iranian President Rouhani on Saturday wearing Hijabs, Chadors, and long coats, in deference to Iran’s oppressive and unjust modesty laws which make the Hijab compulsory — despite Stockholm’s promise to promote “a gender equality perspective” internationally, and to adopt a “feminist foreign policy” in which “equality between women and men is a fundamental aim.”

In doing so, Sweden’s female leaders ignored the recent appeal by Iranian women’s right activist Masih Alinejad who urgedEuropeans female politicians “to stand for their own dignity” and to refuse to kowtow to the compulsory Hijab while visiting Iran. UN Watch
