“Well done, good and faithful servant! ”
-Matthew 25:23

Evangelist Billy Graham has died in his home in North Carolina at 99.

Graham took Christ literally when He said in Mark 16:15, “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Graham has preached the gospel to more people in live audiences than anyone else in history—nearly 215 million people in more than 185 countries and territories—through various meetings, including Mission World and Global Mission. Hundreds of millions more have been reached through television, video, film and webcasts.

Since the 1949 Los Angeles Crusade vaulted Graham into the public eye, he has led hundreds of thousands of individuals to make personal decisions to live for Christ, which was the main thrust of his ministry. Charisma

In the Q&A section of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s website are 5 common questions about heaven.

The first question: “What happens to us in the first minute after we die? Do we enter heaven immediately, or do our souls go into some kind of a sleep until the end of time, when our souls and our bodies will be reunited? I’ve always had lots of questions about heaven.”

The Bible doesn’t answer all our questions about heaven and life after death—and the reason is because our minds are limited and heaven is far too glorious for us to understand. Some day, all of our questions will be answered—but not yet. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “Now I know in part; then I shall know fully” (1 Corinthians 13:12).

However, the Bible certainly does indicate that when we die we enter immediately into God’s presence if we belong to Christ. From our earthly point of view, death looks somewhat like sleep—but not from God’s point of view. Paul declared, “We are confident (of eternal life), I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8). Elsewhere he wrote, “I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far” (Philippians 1:23).  first question full answer

UPDATE–Joel Richardson: What Is The Sign Of September 23, 2017?

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
Rev.  12:1-2

Claims and speculation about September 23, 2017:
This September there will be a unique celestial configuration during and right after Rosh Hashanah (Sep. 20-22).  It will reach its completion on
September 23, 2017, which is a Saturday.

  • The sun passes through Virgo – clothed in the sun.
  • Moon under her feet.
  • A crown of 12 stars – constellation Leo, which is composed of 9 stars. In 2017 three more added (Mercury, Mars, and Venus)
  • Jupiter the king planet will be between the legs of Venus below her womb.

These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times. Leviticus 23:4

Seven feasts were given to Israel by God.  The 7 feasts are prophetic types, or symbols, that point to the Messiah and which will be fulfilled in Him.

Let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.   Colossians 2:16-17

There are 4 spring feasts and 3 fall feasts.  The spring feasts have been fulfilled, the fall feasts have not been fulfilled.

Spring: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Harvest.
Fall: Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Tabernacles

Rosh Hashanah is not one of the feasts.  The Feast of Trumpets in 2017 is September 21-22.  Associating Rosh Hashanah with the Feast of Trumpets began in the second century A.D. shortly after the destruction of the Temple.

Listen to Joel Richardson’s good and wise words urging caution.

Joel’s post in answer to a question -Rosh Hashanah is not a biblical feast, but Yom Teru’ah or the Feast of Trumpets is a biblical mood. It follows immediately upon Rosh Hashanah. I erred somewhat in emphasizing this.

UPDATE:  In this episode Joel demonstrates the various problems with the false claim that a unique astronomical sign will occur this year on September 23, 2017.

Chimera – The Days Of Noah

And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. Luke 17:26

A chimera is a mixed-species creature named after the monster in Greek mythology with a lion’s head, goat’s body, and dragon’s tail.

Genetic manipulation.  Injecting human stem cells into the embryo of an animal, a viable embryo which is part human and part animal.

For the first time, scientists have grown an embryo that is part-pig, part-human.

The experiment, described Thursday in the journal Cell, involves injecting human stem cells into the embryo of a pig, then implanting the embryo in the uterus of a sow and allowing it to grow. After four weeks, the stem cells had developed into the precursors of various tissue types, including heart, liver and neurons, and a small fraction of the developing pig was made up of human cells…

The NIH in a 2016 statement, said it was worried about the chance that animals’ “cognitive state” could be altered if they ended up with human brain cells.

Some argue that, since stem cells can become any kind of tissue, including parts of the nervous system, chimeras raise the specter of an animal with a human brain or reproductive organs. Others think there’s a symbolic or sacred line between human and animal genetic material that should not be crossed.

In an effort to address the world’s growing organ shortage — an estimated 22 people a day die waiting for transplants, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services  — scientists have been trying to grow organs outside the human body. But organs developed in petri dishes are not identical to the ones that grow inside a living thing.

“That’s where the rationale of this kind of experiment comes in,” said Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte, a developmental biologist at the Salk Institute and the senior author on the study of the human-pig chimera. “What if we let nature do the work for us? What if we just put human cells inside the embryo and the embryo knows what do to?”

Are Humans More Valuable Than Animals?

Are you more valuable than a dog or a cat or, for that matter, a tree?

One of the biggest differences between Judeo-Christian values and secular values concerns this very issue: the worth of the human being. According to the Judeo-Christian value system, human beings are infinitely valuable.

On the other hand, secular humanism devalues the worth of humans. As ironic as it may sound, the God-based Judeo-Christian value system renders humans infinitely more valuable than any humanistic value system.

Joel Richardson: Is Isaiah 17 soon to be fulfilled in Damascus?

Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city,
And it will be a ruinous heap.
The cities of Aroer  [Jordan] are forsaken;
They will be for flocks
Which lie down, and no one will make them afraid.
The fortress also will cease from Ephraim,
The kingdom from Damascus,
And the remnant of Syria;
They will be as the glory of the children of Israel,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
4 “In that day it shall come to pass
That the glory of Jacob will wane,
And the fatness of his flesh grow lean.

Joel tackles the oracle of Isaiah 17. This much talked about prophecy, which speaks of the destruction of Damascus, has been the subject of much discussion since the start of the Syrian civil war. Is this prophecy about to find imminent fulfillment as many students of prophecy are suggesting? Or does the text reveal something else? JoelsTrumpet

Joel Richardson: Daniel 8 and the Next Great Wars

The goat became very great, but at the height of its power the large horn was broken off, and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the four winds of heaven. Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land. (Daniel 8:8-9)

Joel Richardson looks at the ram, the goat, and the little horn in Daniel chapter 8 in the historical and end time fulfillment.

In this episode, Joel returns to Daniel chapter 8 to discuss what may be the next major prophecy to be fulfilleDd. Could this prophecy reveal the next major war to unfold across the Middle East? Is it possible that the United States and Europe will be pulled into the expanding regional Sunni-Shi’a conflict?
