The MS-13 (Mara Salvatruche) gang’s formation is traced back to Salvadoran immigrants to Los Angeles in the 1980s after the Central American civil wars. 13 had guerilla warfare experience and training making them the most ruthless, sophisticated, and violent street gang.

The gang, with its ties to Central American, is involved in gun smuggling.  This gang’s assaults and murders using a machete to hack a victim to death or shoot a victim in the head in broad daylight. The gang is allied with several of Mexico’s drug cartels and is active in
throughout Central America.

The MS-13 gang is heavily involved in criminal activity:  drug sales, robberies, home-invasions, gun smuggling, murder, rape, prostitution, car-jackings, human smuggling, extortion…

In 2012, the current administration declared the ultra-violent street gang MS-13 to be an international criminal group.  The Treasury Department formally designated MS-13 a transnational criminal organization with the aim of shutting down MS-13’s financial operations in the U.S.  According to Treasury, the gang includes more than 30,000 members, with branches operating in Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico.   At least 8,000 MS-13 members operate in 40 states and the District of Columbia.MS-13 evolved from a criminal gang to a regional organized crime network.

It has been reported that MS-13 gang members are part of the invasion of illegal immigrants, some of whom have admitted to murder and torture in their home countries, are being held for placement inside the U.S.   At the Nogales Placement Center, Border Patrol Agents and Customs and Border Protection Officers, discovered 16 illegal immigrant ‘children’ (13 El Salvadoran males, two Guatemalan males and one Honduran male)  were members of MS-13.

The 16 gang members are males 15 to 17 reportedly are attempting to recruit younger unaccompanied children into their drug-running group. The border guards can not separate these deadly gang members from other teens or deport them as they are minors.

An excerpt from Governor Brewer’s warning letter:

“By the Obama administration’s own estimation, 230,000 unaccompanied alien minors are expected to cross through the Rio Grande Sector by the end of next year… If Border Patrol is overwhelmed, what consideration is being given — and what is being done — to determine if any of these illegal aliens have criminal histories or gang affiliations? For example, we know that MS-13, one of the world’s most notorious international gangs, has strong ties to several of the Central American countries from which these aliens are arriving. The administration’s refusal to properly verify that violent criminals are not among those entering the United States shows an alarming lack of concern for our homeland’s security. As a nation, we cannot sit back and allow this policy to continue.” inquisitr

Tuesday June 15th , six illegal immigrants, several are MS-13 gang members, were arrested for the suspected killing of Amos Jones a homeless man in Maryland.
