Liberal Mom Aghast As Huge Guy Wearing Lakers Jersey Walks Into Ladies’ Restroom

A liberal mom had an eye-opening experience in the ladies’ restroom when in walked a “very large, burly man in a Lakers Jersey”.

The same eye-opener that Maya Dillard Smith, Interim Director of the Georgia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union who resigned after seeing how the bathroom law affected her elementary-aged daughters.

Some people seem to lack reasoning skills and are incapable of foreseeing the consequences of an action – even when informed it will happen – until those consequences happen to them.

Is their focus so narrow they look at things one way (agenda reality-deniers way ), not seeing that one action can have many consequences. The expression can’t see the forest for the trees applies here.

A liberal mom got a rude awakening that changed her views about the “bathroom debate” and decided to share her story regardless of what the backlash would be. This is a reality check like no other.

Kristen Quintrall Lavin runs a blog called, “The Get Real Mom,” in which she exposes the harsh realities of what she calls, “momming.” However, on a recent trip to Disneyland with her young son, Lavin, she was exposed to another harsh reality — the reality of bathroom stalking, which made her question her progressive liberal views on the bathroom debate.

Lavin commented on her blog that she has seen and supported “transgender” women — men identifying as women — using women’s public restrooms prior to the incident happening at Disneyland. “Transgenders who certainly felt comfortable in the women’s room and probably frightened to go into the men’s. At these times, I smiled … I peed … and life went on.”

Then, all of that changed when she was at Disneyland with her friend, her son, and her friend’s son.

“I went to the bathroom while she watched our boys in their strollers, and then I did the same.” Lavin wrote.

That is when a “very large, burly man in a Lakers Jersey” walked into the bathroom and leaned against the wall. Lavin spoke about seeing about 12 other women and children just staring at the man, wondering what he was doing in the women’s room and that their collective silence is what caused her to tell her story.

End Of Transgender Bathroom Rule

Common sense.

The Trump administration has ended federal protection for transgender students that required public schools to allow transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms matching their chosen gender identity.

The administration lifted the federal guidelines on Wednesday that had been issued by the Obama administration back in May.

It will now be up to states and school districts to interpret federal anti-discrimination law and determine whether students should have access to restrooms in accordance with their expressed gender identity and not just their biological sex.  DailyMail

DOJ Signals An End To Transgender Locker Room Lunacy In Public Schools

This is about protecting children.

A motion filed in federal court by the Justice Department on Friday suggests that newly-minted Attorney General Jeff Sessions is reassessing a vague Obama administration order allowing transgender students in America’s public schools to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their choice.

The Justice Department’s new motion in the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals seeks permission to delay a hearing on a previous motion — filed last year — which had asked the court to ease a preliminary injunction by federal district judge Reed O’Connor striking down Obama administration guidance about bathroom and shower use in taxpayer-funded schools.  DailyCaller

Christian And Racial Feminist Group Team Up To Challenge Obama’s Transgender Bathroom Mandate

Amazing, a feminist group that actually advocates for women.  WoLF (Women’s Liberation Front) and the Family Policy Alliance have teamed up on cases of gender and bathroom laws.

Autumn Leva, director of policy for Family Policy Alliance, said their groups’ unity should already tell people what an upsetting mandate the transgender bathroom truly is.

“How wrong does something need to be for a Christian family group, and a radical feminist group, to take their argument together to the Supreme Court?” she asked. “[This is a] privacy and safety matter and we’re asking the high court to acknowledge that.”

One of the controversies in the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama was the implementation of the transgender bathroom mandate in all public schools throughout the nation. The administration required all public schools to allow transgender students to use the bathroom of their choice, and any school that refuses to conform to the mandate risks losing federal funding.

The Family Policy Alliance, which is the public policy partner of the Christian conservative organisation Focus on the Family, has had enough of the mandate and has teamed up with a radical feminist group, the Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF), in a bid to protect women and girls from sexual predators.

Kara Dansky, the chair of WoLF’s Board of Directors, admitted that WoLF and the Family Policy Alliance don’t often see eye to eye when it comes to abortion or gay rights. However, when it comes to privacy and safety for women, they are in unison.

“On certain issues, such as gender identity, pornography and prostitution – we’ll find that the left has pretty much sold out women on these issues,” Dansky told Town Hall. “We stand up for women and girls.” ChritianityToday

Title IX

As a plaintiff in a similar, federal case, the Women’s Liberation Front has filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court in the case of Gloucester County School Board v. G.G., in which a school board has petitioned the Supreme Court to review a decision by a U.S. Appeals Court that deprives students of their right to have access to sex-segregated spaces.

This case is important because this issue goes far beyond bathrooms. It in fact extends to the ability of women and girls to access locker rooms, shower rooms, changing rooms, dormitories, sports teams, crisis services, scholarships and colleges that are reserved exclusively for women and girls, and because it goes to an even larger issue – whether women and girls can be protected by civil rights laws at all.

This case asks the question whether “women” even exist anymore as a legally-protected or definable category. Wolf

The Erasure Of Women And Girls

The self-described “radical feminist” explained to The Daily Caller founder that the “interpretation of sex to mean gender identity… redefines women and girls to mean essentially anyone who identifies as a woman or girl.”

“You go on to say this is about the erasure of women and girls,” Carlson then posed to Dansky. “What does that mean?”

“If we define sex to mean gender identity,” Dansky answered, that “renders the category, women and girls, meaningless.”  DailyCaller

Federal Judge In Texas Temporarily Blocks Obama’s Rules On Bathrooms For Transgender Students

boygirlbathroomsignOnly 13 states challenged it.

A federal judge in Texas is blocking for now the Obama administration’s directive to U.S. public schools that transgender students must be allowed to use the bathrooms and locker rooms consistent with their chosen gender identity.

On Monday — the first day of class for most public schools in Texas — hundreds of school districts awoke to news of the order by U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor.

His decision dated Sunday comes after Texas and 12 other states challenged the Obama directive as unconstitutional. O’Connor ruled that the federal education law, Title IX, “is not ambiguous” about sex being defined as “the biological and anatomical differences between male and female students as determined at their birth.”

Although Defendants have characterized the Guidelines as interpretive, post-guidance events and their actual legal effect prove that they are ‘compulsory in nature,'” he wrote.

He also sided with Republican state leaders who argued that schools should have been allowed to weigh in before the directive was announced in May. CSMonitor

Target To Spend $20M On Private Bathrooms To Quell Transgender Debate

boygirlbathroomsignWhat about the fitting rooms?  Last July a transgender man was arrested for taking photos of a woman changing clothes in a Target fitting room.

Target Corp. said it will spend $20 million to add a private bathroom to each of its stores by next year, following customer protests over its policy allowing transgender individuals to use whichever restroom corresponds with their gender identity.

Most of Target’s 1,797 locations already have single-occupancy or unisex restrooms, but it will add the option to 277 stores by November and to about 20 remaining stores by March 2017, the company said on Wednesday.

Target’s finance chief Cathy Smith said the move is a response to feedback from customers voicing displeasure over the company’s bathroom policy. She added the customer discontent hadn’t had a material impact on sales. CEO Brian Cornell had promised to roll out family restrooms earlier this year and defended the company’s stance on diversity.

Protests started at Target stores after the retailer said in April that it welcomed transgender employees and guests to use the restroom or fitting room that corresponded with their gender identity. “Everyone deserves to feel they belong,” the company wrote on its website. FoxNews

ACLU Director Quits After Elementary-Aged Daughters Express Fear At Men In The Women’s Restroom

maya-dillard-smithMaya Dillard Smith, Interim Director of the Georgia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union resigned after seeing how the bathroom law affected her elementary-aged daughters

Maya Dillard Smith has claimed she left the notoriously liberal ACLU after she found herself at odds with the organization’s recent shift toward promoting transgender equality above women’s rights.

Smith said in a statement that the ACLU had become a “special interest organization that promotes not all, but certain progressive rights.” Those rights that receive the most attention are the ones that receive the most funding from outside donors, she said.

But it was the experience of taking her elementary-aged school children into a public restroom that changed things. She said they entered the restroom and “shortly after three transgender young adults over six feet with deep voices entered.”

“My children were visibly frightened, concerned about their safety and left asking lots of questions for which I, like many parents, was ill-prepared to answer,” Smith said.

“Despite additional learning I still have to do, I believe there are solutions that can provide accommodations for transgender people and balance the need to ensure women and girls are safe from those who might have malicious intent,” she said.

She added that she found herself “principally and philosophically unaligned with the organization [ACLU],” she said. Christian Examiner

Maya has launched a new website, Finding Middle Ground.

Statement by young girl in the video: ““Boys in the girl’s bathroom? I don’t know about that. There’s some boys who feel like they’re girls on the inside, and there’s some boys who are just perverts,”

Hampden-Sydney College Fires Lieutenant General William “Jerry” Boykin Over PC Gender Ideology

Lieutenant General William “Jerry” Boykin, USA, Ret.

Update:   An importance reminder of the worth of standing up for and defending our ‎First Amendment rights.

Less than six hours later, the college reversed its decision and offered the retired general a one-year contract.“Hampden-Sydney College is a fine school with a proud history of young men who have led our country, and I am honored to be a part of shaping the next generation of leaders,” Boykin told me. “I would like to thank the leadership of Hampden-Sydney College for the courage they have demonstrated in reversing their decision and allowing me to remain a part of the Hampden-Sydney community.” FoxNews

Last night the college announced that they are inviting Lt. Gen. Boykin back to teach again this fall. I’m glad they decided not to give in to the LGBT activists on this, and I’m sure their donors and supporters wouldn’t have agreed with their decision. Lt. Gen. Boykin is an American hero and deserves to be honored.

Lt. Gen. Boykin urges us to “Push back against these bathroom laws, and stand up if not for a moral reason, but for the safety of the women and young girls who would be put at risk.” He’s right. Franklin Graham

Lieutenant General William “Jerry” Boykin, USA, Ret. was a member of the Army’s Delta Force and at one time commanded all of the U.S. Army’s Green Berets.  He is also currently executive vice president of Family Research Council.  Boykin was fired by Hampden-Sydney College after teaching there nine years.

Referring to President Obama’s push to allow grown men into girls’ bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms, General Boykin joked, “…the first man who goes in the restroom with my daughter will not have to worry about surgery.” That levity, in today’s precious academic world, was a firing offense. Ted Cruz

Boykin asserts he was not calling for violence.

The bottom line is that I oppose these so called “Bathroom‬” bills that let men go into women’s locker rooms, showers, and toilets and I have been very public about it. When I said in Orlando that “…the first man who goes in the restroom with my daughter will not have to worry about surgery”, the LGBT community once again came after me, claiming that I was calling for violence against transgender people.

Well, that is simply not the case and I have never called for violence against anyone. I was referring to perverts who will use these policies to get into locker rooms with girls and women, and I object to that. My statement was meant to be humor and not a call for violence, which everyone in my audience understood as humor.

Nonetheless, I gave the LGBT community just what they needed to pressure the college leadership to terminate me and they did.

Three observations by Senator Ted Cruz:

First, our universities are losing their souls. College should be about learning, and that requires a diversity of views. When I was a student in the 1980s and 90s, surrounded by college and law school faculty members who were militant leftists and even Marxists, I didn’t curl up in a ball and plead for a “safe place.” Confronting opposing views helped me learn what I myself believe, and helped me understand better how to persuade others. That’s the essence of education. Raising coddled, solipsistic children who cannot handle dissent represents a complete failure and abdication of the university mission.

Second, free speech matters. If you disagree with someone, disagree with them. Don’t silence or punish them. Censorship is the refuge of the weak-minded (those who cannot defend their views) or the tyrannical (those who simply want to force submission and compliance). Continue reading at Ted Cruz

Obama Administration Issues Sweeping Decree On Transgender Access To School Restrooms

“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” Title IX of the education amendments of 1972

boygirlbathroomsignLetters were sent by the Justice Department and the Department of Education Civil Rights divisions telling ALL public schools to allow transgender students to use whatever bathroom of their choice.  The letter applies to : Restrooms and locker rooms, athletics, and single-sex classes.

Link to the letter.

The administration is redefining the term ‘sex’ in Title IX and the Civil Rights Act of 1964,  using the category of sex to cover the transgender identity issue.

When Title IX and the Civil Rights Act were written it was not the intent of the legislature to have anything to do with the array of LGBT issues.  Title IX and the Civil Rights Act had nothing to do with transgender issues and never references them.  This is going to be in the courts for years.

In an article in The Washington Post in 1975, [Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader] Ginsberg wrote to dispel the fear that the Equal Rights Act would “require unisex restrooms in public places.” According to Ginsberg, “Emphatically not so.”

The now-Supreme Court justice continued, “Separate places to disrobe, sleep, perform personal bodily functions are permitted, in some situations required, by regard for individual privacy.” DailyCaller

In the letter:

Gender identity refers to an individual’s internal sense of gender. A person’s gender identity may be different from or the same as the person’s sex assigned at birth.

So gender identity is different from the sex assigned at birth.

The Departments treat a student’s gender identity as the student’s sex for purposes of Title IX and its implementing regulations.

But it is the same for the purpose of the law.

This is a play to weaken Judeo-Christian values and remove those values from American public life. Gender is a part of God’s creation and our biological sex is a gift from God.  His will for us.  Sensitivity should be shown to individuals who face confusion over their identity but Christians must not embrace, enter into, or add to this confusion that the federal government is ordering.

Are we living in a banana republic?

Who does President Barack Obama think he is? The sultan of Washington? Does he think he can just make a “decree” and we will bow down and simply obey? The decree he released today says that all schools across the country have to allow students to choose the restrooms and locker rooms according to “their internal sense of gender.”

If schools don’t comply, he threatens loss of funding and lawsuits from the federal government. What about the privacy and protection of all the other students? Isn’t this discrimination against all of them? This opens up bathrooms to sexual predators and perverts.

A decree does not carry the force of law–that’s the job of Congress. The president obviously must have no fear of God, who made us and created us male and female. I hope that school districts across this nation will defy President Obama and his administration’s radical progressive agenda to promote and advance the sin of homosexuality and the LGBT agenda. Texas Says NO to Obama’s directive.  “He can keep his 30 pieces of silver”

A top Texas official said the state will not yield to “blackmail” from President Barack Obama, after the administration on Friday released a directive notifying public school officials that transgender students must be the administration on Friday released a directive notifying puallowed to use the restroom and locker room facilities corresponding with their gender identity.

“I believe it is the biggest issue facing families and schools in America since prayer was taken out of public schools,” Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick told reporters.

Obama’s policy “will divide the country not along political lines but along family values and school districts,” Patrick said.

“He says he’s going to withhold funding if schools do not follow the policy,” Patrick said, referring to the risk of schools losing federal funding if they do not adhere to the recommendations. “Well, in Texas, he can keep his 30 pieces of silver. We will not yield to blackmail from the president of the United States.” Politico

White House ‘Aggressively Engaged’ In Bathroom Fight

Who started and is pushing the bathroom laws placing women and girls at risk boygirlbathroomsignin restrooms?

Department of Education

A top Obama appointee in the Department of Education personally assured a group of LGBT activists that the White House is “aggressively engaged” in the fight to allow transgender students use whichever bathroom they please at school.

DOE Assistant Secretary for the Office of Civil Rights Catherine Lhamon delivered the good news at an LGBT summit hosted by the White House in Michigan last Thursday, where she gave the keynote address. DailyCaller

OSHA the agency that is concerned with safety and healthful working conditions – biological, physical hazards in the workplace, toxic chemicals, dangerous machinery.

OSHA said an estimated 700,000 adults in the United States are transgender — meaning their internal gender identity is different from the sex listed on their birth certificate.

“Restricting employees to using only restrooms that are not consistent with their gender identity, or segregating them from other workers by requiring them to use gender-neutral or other specific restrooms, singles those employees out and may make them fear for their physical safety,” the guidance says. “Bathroom restrictions can result in employees avoiding using restrooms entirely while at work, which can lead to potentially serious physical injury or illness.” thehill

This is a serious overreach of these federal department’s mandate.  This is idiocy.  There has not been reported one instance where a transgender person  suffered “serious physical injury” because he was afraid to go to the bathroom.

There have been many instances where perverts have put cameras in bathrooms and changing rooms, filmed women showering in dorm bathrooms, and physically attacked females in bathrooms.   All this idiocy does is endanger girls and woman, leaving behind ruined lives and costly litigation.  This is just a continuation of the secular and progressive left push against Judeo-Christian values.

Republican US Presidential Hopefuls On The Bathroom Law

Donald Trump claims “very few problems” and “there have been very few complaints the way it is.”

Dipping into a contentious issue by taking a stand many Republicans oppose, Mr. Trump told a townhallstyle event, hosted by NBC’s “Today” show at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, that when people go to the restroom, they should “use the bathroom they feel is appropriate.”

“North Carolina did something — it was very strong — and they’re paying a big price,” Mr. Trump said. “And there’s a lot of problems. And I heard — one of the best answers I heard was from a commentator yesterday saying, leave it the way it is, right now.”

He added that before the law passed, there had been “very few problems” but now North Carolina is experiencing an exodus of businesses and “strife” from people on both sides of the issue.

“You leave it the way it is,” he said. “There have been very few complaints the way it is.” New York Times

Allowing Men In Womens’ Restrooms Flush Safety Of Girls And Women (watch the video on this page and decide for yourself)

Senator Ted Cruz  full response to Trumps support of grown men using women’s restrooms.

“Donald Trump is no different from politically correct leftist elites. Today, he joined them in calling for grown men to be allowed to use little girls’ public restrooms. As the dad of young daughters, I dread what this will mean for our daughters – and for our sisters and our wives. It is a reckless policy that will endanger our loved ones.”…

CRUZ: Well, a part of it, Glenn, this is not complicated to make the case… Most people know this intuitively and, as you know, my daughters are five and eight. My five-year-old knows the difference between boys and girls. You’ve got the Obama education department suing to try to force junior highs to let teenage boys shower with teenage girls.

BECK: Oh my gosh.

CRUZ : That’s crazy. It’s just, that’s not a reasonable position. It is simply crazy. The idea that grown men would be allowed alone in a bathroom with little girls… you don’t need to be a behavioral psychologist to realize bad things can happen and any prudent person wouldn’t allow that. It is only the lunacy of political correctness –if he had fired Curt Schilling—for making the rather obvious point, that we shouldn’t allow grown adult men strangers alone in a bathroom with little girls… That’s a point anyone who is rational should understand.

BECK: I will tell you that we always hear from the left on gun control… if it would just save one person then we should do it. If this would just save one little girl from being molested by a heterosexual pervert, we should do it.

CRUZ: Glenn, I was the Solicitor General of Texas for five and a half years. I handled case after case after case of child molesters, of pedophiles, of people who abused little kids. These are serious issues and when you deal with people who are repulsive perverts and criminals… there are some bad people in the world and we shouldn’t be facilitating putting little girls alone in a bathroom with grown adult men. That is just a bad, bad, bad idea.

Retailer Target Takes A Stand On Bathroom And Dressing Rooms

Social-Pride-targetThe retailer Target posted an “Continuing to Stand for Inclusivity” statement on their website.

In our stores, we demonstrate our commitment to an inclusive experience in many ways. Most relevant for the conversations currently underway, we welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.

In six paragraphs Target does not address once the issues of discomfort and concerns of safety of parents, women, and girls.
