We Can’t Just ‘Teach Boys Not To Rape.’ They Need A Positive Message Of Male Identity.

This is a great article on the current social media trend that claims all you have to do is “teach men not to rape.”

I wrote a piece on the Harvey Weinstein scandal yesterday. In a change of pace, some people were upset.

I’ll give you one example of a message I received:

Matt, your post was bull sh*t. I don’t need this long analysis of why Harvey Weinstein raped people. Here’s all that you as a man needs to tell your readers: DON’T RAPE PEOPLE. Instead of worrying about the “culture” and trying to use this story as an excuse to push your “values,” maybe we should just be BLAMING THE RAPISTS for rape and TEACHING MEN NOT TO RAPE. It’s not that hard. That’s all you need to say.

It’s quite clear that men aren’t allowed to participate in the discussion about rape and sexual assault except to grunt in three word sentences. “Rape is bad.” “Men shouldn’t rape.” “Blame the rapists.” Of course it’s true that rape is bad and men shouldn’t rape and we should blame the rapists. It’s so true that there’s no reason to say anything if that’s all you’re going to say. Everyone knows that rape is bad and you shouldn’t do it. Even rapists know that.  Read full article at DailyWire

Ben Shapiro Uses Facts To Destroy Jihad Apologist And Linda Sarsour Defender

Linda Sarsour, the pro-sharia Muslim activist and Women’s march organizer in a speech called for “jihad” against President Donald Trump.

Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Wire Ben Shapiro  and Hassan Shibly, chief executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) appeared on Fox News on Sunday with anchor Dana Perino.

Shapiro destroyed the narrative of Islamic extremists apologist Linda Sarsour, the darling of the left-wing feminists and organizer of the Women’s March.

Sarsour blasted the White House and called for “jihad” against President Donald Trump at a radical Islamic conference.

There is a man who once asked our beloved prophet … he said to him, “What is the best form of jihad or struggle?’ And our beloved prophet … said to him, “A word of truth in front of a tyrant ruler or leader, that is the best form of jihad.” I hope, that when we stand up to those who oppress our communities, that Allah accepts from us that as a form of jihad, that we are struggling against tyrants and rulers not only abroad in the Middle East or the other side of the world, but here in these United States of America, where you have fascists and white supremacists and Islamophobes reining in the White House.

When asked how Sarsour’s comments were taken out of context, Shibly replied,

Jihad means to struggle for good. She was very clear that it’s our duty as Americans and Muslims to put forward our best effort to struggle to speak truth to power to help the disenfranchised, to stand for the oppressed no matter what the cost is of speaking out. And she’s actually paying the price of speaking out and calling the Trump Administration’s attacks on minorities and attacks against women. Linda’s a revolutionary American Muslim proud hijab-sporting activist and we stand with her … to stand with all the disenfranchised minorities, to make America great by standing for justice and speaking truth to power, which is exactly what jihad is about.

Shapiro answered,

It clearly wasn’t taken out of context; everybody I know who posted this story posted the entire video, as well as a large portion of the transcript from what she said. I don’t think anybody is claiming that she openly called for violence against President Trump, but jihad means more than just internal struggle, or “struggle for good.” We all know that there are terrorists all over the world who use the word “jihad” as justification for what they do, and Linda Sarsour knows that too. She knows how to make headlines; she is a radical anti-Semite who has backed terrorists in the past; she is a person who said Ayaan Hirsi Ali should have her genitals removed… ConservativeNews

Shibly rudely interrupted Shapiro and directed him, “Don’t smear a woman who’s not here to defend herself.”

A composed Shapiro turned the tables on Shibly as he answered, “Fine, I’ll talk about CAIR instead. CAIR is an organization that was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial of 2007.”

Shibly continued to talk over his fellow guest and the show’s host. “Let’s talk about what jihad means.”

Shapiro immediately jumped on that.

If you want to talk about context, let’s talk about the full context, which is who Linda Sarsour is, the fact that she began this speech praising a guy, who has, in the past, talked about how jihad includes violent jihad. She started her speech with that, so let’s not pretend that you can just — you’re the one taking this one line out of context and then suggesting that it only refers to this sort of anodyne version of jihad.  ConservativeNews

Linda Sarsour

In her speech Linda Sarsour praises Siraj Wahhaj.  Wahhaj was named in 1995 as a possible co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.  He supports jihad and thinks Islam is better than democracy and  an Islamic caliphate in place of the U.S. government.

The group ISNA that Sarsour spoke at in her speech have links to the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic extremists groups.

Prager U Video:  Facts Don’t Care About Your Feelings

Why does it seem as if America’s college campuses have totally lost it? Well, because they have. In short, feelings now rule facts, and victims are heroes. But here’s a fact: If you’re a college student in the United States, you’re almost certainly NOT a victim. Ben Shapiro explains why.
