Antifa Teacher Yvette Felarca Ordered To Pay Legal Fees Of Former President Of Berkeley College Republicans

Good.  She abused the court system.

An Alameda County Superior Court Commissioner ordered Yvette Felarca, the controversial Berkeley middle school teacher and activist, to pay $10,000 in attorney’s fees and $1,100 in court fees for her failed attempt to get a permanent restraining order against Troy Worden, the former head of the Berkeley College Republicans.

Commissioner Thomas Rasch issued the order Thursday before a scheduled hearing at the Hayward branch of the court. He said that Felarca’s legal actions were not brought in good faith. Felarca’s attorneys dispute that characterization and have said they intend to appeal the ruling.

The case involved two political opponents who played large roles in 2017’s conflicts concerning President Trump, conservative speakers, and free speech issues on campus. Felarca is a national organizer for the far left group By Any Means Necessary and has protested vigorously against the speakers the BCR brought to campus, including Milo Yiannopoulos and Ben Shapiro. Worden was president of the BCR until he was ousted late last year. But his actions with that group propelled him into the national limelight.

Felarca got a temporary restraining order (TRO) against Worden in September after alleging he was stalking and harassing her for her political activities on campus. A judge initially ordered Worden to stay 100 yards away from Felarca, but later reduced that distance to 10 yards. Felarca then applied for a permanent restraining order in October but withdrew the application the day of the hearing, making Worden the prevailing party entitled to receive lawyer and court fees.

Worden’s attorneys characterized the $11,100 payment as a victory, and said it proved that Felarca and her organization, By Any Means Necessary, had fabricated claims that Worden was stalking Felarca on Sproul Plaza on the UC Berkeley campus.

“By ruling that Yvette Felarca did not demonstrate good faith in filing the restraining order, the court recognized the frivolous nature of Felarca’s actions,” Mark Meuser, Worden’s attorney, said in a press release issued after the decision. “The award of attorney fees should send a strong signal that she cannot abuse the court system to silence speech.” BerkeleySide

Antifa In Berkeley Chasing And Beating People In Street

Black-clad antifa members attack peaceful right-wing demonstrators in Berkeley

Antifa anarchist shocking violence in Berkeley, California. A few people showed up for the canceled Patriot Prayer group and hundreds of Antifia.

Organizers cancelled the Patriot Prayer rally because of  safety concerns.

Both Amber Cummings [No to Marxism in America rally organizer] and Patriot Prayer leader Joey Gibson have repeatedly denounced racism. Cummings canceled her Sunday event and Gibson called off his Saturday rally late Friday, saying that demonization by mayors in both cities and left-wing extremists made it impossible to speak out.  AP

This Professor Was Arrested As Alleged Antifa Bike Lock Attacker

The sleuthing capacity of  4Chan users shows the masks and disguises worn by Berkeley violent Antifa paid agitators did not work.  The police should tell protesters to remove their masks and disguises at a protest or arrest them.

4Chan users matched the former professor’s facial structure, jeans brand, shoes and backpack straps to that of the assailant. Berkeley Police arrested Clanton over a month after 4Chan’s evidence surfaced. DailyCaller

A philosophy professor who was a teaching assistant at San Francisco State University between 2013 and 2015 and also taught philosophy and ethics classes at Diablo Valley College in 2015, was arrested on suspicion of using a metal bike lock to assault supporters of President Trump at a Patriot Day rally in Berkeley in April.

Videos of the incident surfaced, allowing investigators to identify Eric Clanton, 28, hooded and masked while allegedly smashing at least three Trump supporters in the head according to police, who attested that the assaults caused “significant injuries.”

Clanton is charged with three counts of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon that isn’t a firearm and assault causing bodily injury. On Thursday, he was booked in Berkeley Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail; he was scheduled for arraignment Friday morning in Oakland.

The 4Chan website identified Clanton, according to Berkeleyside, which interviewed Berkeley Police Capt. Ed Spiller. Spiller said Clanton had been under investigation before his arrest. According to KPIX, police said catching the bike-lock attacker was such a priority that they put homicide detectives on the job. Berkeley Police Lt. Kevin Schofield said, “You’re swinging a small metal object that can absolutely cause traumatic injuries.”  DailyWire

State Lawmakers Are Cracking Down On The Biggest Protests Since ’60s

Some of the proposed laws are needed.  The laws we have need to be enforced, especially in Democratic states where the motto seems to be ‘give them space to destroy.’

The people, businesses, and organizations funding the paid agitators, who are becoming more violent, need to be investigated and charged.

Republicans in statehouses across the U.S. are devising legal tools to regulate public dissent as demonstrators take to the streets to protest President Donald Trump in waves not seen since the Vietnam War.

At least 10 bills to limit protests have been introduced in recent months. North Dakota is considering protection for motorists who unintentionally kill protesters blocking roads. Washington state Senator Doug Ericksen would punish those who “disrupt our economy.” Next week, North Carolina Senator Dan Bishop will call for imprisoning people who intimidate ex-officials, after former Governor Pat McCrory was pursued down a Washington, D.C., alley by a group chanting “Shame!”

“That extends over the borderline of decency,” Bishop said in an interview. Though such demonstrators are “constitutionally entitled” to express their views, he said, they aren’t free to threaten violence.

Many of the bills, which critics say impinge on constitutional freedoms, were filed before Trump’s election in response to Black Lives Matter and oil-pipeline protests. They’ve gained fresh relevance amid global women’s marches and nationwide airport demonstrations over Trump’s immigration ban. On Wednesday night, black-clad protesters set fires and smashed glass at the University of California at Berkeley, forcing the cancellation of a speech by a conservative writer.  Bloomberg

As our National Review editorial observed in the aftermath of this week’s Berkeley rioting, “there is within the American Left an increasingly active element that is not only deeply illiberal — fundamentally opposed to free speech — but also openly violent.”

I’d further contend that the problem is not confined to this increasingly active element, the Left’s “progressives in a hurry.” Whether it is Berkeley or Benghazi, it is standard operating procedure among the most influential, most allegedly mainstream Democratic politicians to rationalize rioting as mere “protest.” In their alternative reality, violence in the name of sedition is “free speech” — a passionate expression of political dissent — while the actual political speech they so savagely suppress is the atrocity….

The message could not be clearer: For the political Left in this country, violence in the pursuit of “social justice” is not to be condemned, it is to be understood. There is the occasional winking rebuke of the forcible methods, but the underlying “progressive” cause is always endorsed, and the seditionist vanguard is the object of adulation.

It is a huge problem in our country.

What is being championed is not dissent. It is the destruction of the right to dissent. It is the suspension of the rule of law, without which a free society protective of life, liberty, and property is impossible.  National Review article makes a good case for sedition charges.

Guess Who Funds The Group Behind The Call To Arms At Milo’s Berkeley Event

George Soros.

The left-wing group that helped organize the violent shut down of the Milo Yiannopoulos event at the University of California, Berkeley on Wednesday is backed by a progressive charity that is in turn funded by George Soros, the city of Tucson, a major labor union and several large companies.

The Alliance for Global Justice, based in Tucson, is listed as an organizer and fiscal sponsor for Refuse Fascism, a communist group that encouraged left-wingers to shut down the Yiannopoulos event…

Refuse Fascism, which includes Princeton professor Cornel West as one of its founding “initiators,” defended the response, issuing a statement on its website that called the shut down “righteous.”…

According to its most recent 990 tax form, Alliance for Global Justice (AfGJ) received $2.2 million in funding for the fiscal year ending in March 2016.

One of the group’s biggest donors is the Tides Foundation, a non-profit funded by billionaire progressive philanthropist George Soros. Tides gave AfGJ $50,000.

Other notable donors include the city of Tucson and the United Steel Workers labor union. The former gave $10,000 to AfGJ while the latter contributed $5,000. DailyCaller

Leftist Are Out Of Control – Anti-Free Speech Riots At UC Berkeley

Leftist have given up the pretense that they believe in free speech.

On Wednesday night at the University of California at Berkeley leftist and anarchist rioted over a prospective speech by Milo Yiannopoulos.

Many of those dressed black bloc-style so police can’t identify them appear to be associated with the “antifa” movement. Antifa may be short for anti-fascist but these thugs, usually a mix of anarchists and communists, use violent fascistic tactics against their targets. These terrorists do not tolerate opposing views. Before the riots broke out those gathered carried signs that read “hate speech is not free speech.” Signs from the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PLS) also showed up in Berkeley.

Antifa is also involved in the protests and melees at airports nationwide TruthRevolt

In the 1960s, Berkeley campus was the site of the student Free Speech Movement.

On Wednesday night Berkeley betrayed the Free Speech Movement when leftist and anarchist rioted over a prospective speech by Milo Yiannopoulos. Milo’s event was stopped by police and Milo was evacuated from the Berkeley campus. What ensued was violent destruction of property, fires, and Milo supporters beaten in the streets. A disgusting display of how intolerant and fascist the left on campus has become.

Video: Milo: Left can’t tolerate anyone who doesn’t agree with them

President Trump has weighed in via Twitter, stating that he will withdraw federal funds from UC Berkeley if they can’t maintain free speech principles. That’s perfectly appropriate. Spray-painting “KILL TRUMP” on walls, smashing ATMs, assaulting people – that’s not appropriate behavior in any civilized society. And for those doing the spraypainting and smashing and assaulting to proclaim that they’re anti-fascist is patently insane. Forget Yiannopoulos – the issue is the left. And they’re out of control.  DailyWire
