Hungary May Take In Iranian Christian Convert Woman Expelled From Sweden

Aideen Strandsson is an Iranian Christian facing deportation by Sweden back to certain danger in Iran.

Good for Hungary!

Hungary Prime Minister’s Office: “If she seeks help in Hungary, the Hungarian State is ready to recognise the girl from Iran as a refugee who the Swedish authorities intend to send back to the Islamic Republic despite the fact that her life would be in considerable danger on account of having converted to Christianity, Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén, who at present also performs the duties of Prime Minister due to the fact that Viktor Orbán is currently on leave, told the newspaper Magyar Idők.”

“He said: if Aideen Strandsson seeks asylum in Hungary, at the end of the procedure – which naturally also involves national security screening – she may expect a favourable ruling as Hungary does not send anyone back to a country where his or her life or physical well-being may be in danger.”

An Iranian Christian actress facing deportation from Sweden to Iran has been offered asylum by the Hungarian government.

CBN News was first to report that Sweden had rejected Aideen Strandsson’s appeal for asylum and turned her case over to Swedish border police for eventual deportation to Iran, where experts say Strandsson faced certain prison and rape, and possibly death.

Her deportation would be a clear violation of the Geneva Convention on Refugees.

The Hungarian government learned of her story and anounced on its official website that if Strandsson “seeks help in Hungary, the Hungarian State is ready to recognize the girl from Iran as a refugee…if Aideen Strandsson seeks asylum in Hungary, at the end of the procedure – which naturally also involves national security screening – she may expect a favorable ruling as Hungary does not send anyone back to a country where his or her life or physical well-being may be in danger.”

The government announcement added, “…(W)e provide help for genuine refugees, those whose lives are in direct danger on account of their religion, nationality or political affiliation. Taking in persecuted Christians is our moral and constitutional duty all at once.”  CBN

Sweden Shields ISIS Fighters, but Won’t Protect Christian Asylum Seeker

Aideen Strandsson is an Iranian Christian facing deportation by Sweden back to certain danger in Iran.

“They said to me, ‘It’s your personal life and it’s not our problem if you decided to become a Christian, and it’s your problem … I think about that dream I had in Iran, about Jesus and I still think, He is watching me … He will help me.” -Aideen Strandsson

The Iranian actress left Islam to become a Christian after having a dream about Jesus. She came to Sweden in 2014 on a work visa.

Aideen has been very public about her new faith, which means she faces prison, rape, and death if returned to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“It is really dangerous for me and I don’t know why immigration doesn’t believe that. I’m really in danger,” Aideen told CBN News.

Even though Sweden’s migration board says, on its own web page, that it will never deport asylum seekers to nations where they face danger, and doing so is a violation of the Geneva convention on refugees, the migration board rejected Aideen’s request for asylum and turned it over to border police for eventual deportation.

“The migration board information regarding Iranian prisons tells us that torture and rape is common and it is a breach of international law to subject any person to such treatment,” Swedish attorney Gabriel Donner said.

So many CBN viewers contacted the migration board after our story aired, that a migration board official contacted CBN News and told us, “…the fact that your readers write to us will not change the Migration Agency’s decision, nor can we change the court’s decision.”

“Her case has been appealed and processed by the Migration Agency and thereafter by the Swedish courts, which have also decided that she cannot be granted asylum,” Ulrika Langels of the Swedish Migration Board wrote.

CBN News has received many offers of help and even asylum for Aideen from other nations. But Strandsson cannot leave Sweden. Her Iranian passport has been taken away.

And she says her first choice is to remain in Sweden, if possible.

Strandsson and other Christian asylum seekers in Sweden face deportation at the same time that the Swedish government has given 150 protected identities to former ISIS fighters who have returned to Sweden so that they can find jobs.

There will be no such help for Aideen.  CBN

Austria Recognizes ISIS’ Genocide Against Christians

Austria has declared these atrocities against Christians as acts of genocide, they are determined to assist theses victims.

Andrew White, an Anglican priest known as the “Vicar of Baghdad,” has seen violence and persecution against Christians unprecedented in recent decades. MYOCN

Before Being Killed the Children Told ISIS No We Love Yeshua (Jesus) CBN News Canon Andrew White, Vicar of Baghdad, on ISIS in Iraq.

“In Syria, the Islamic State has beheaded and stoned men, women, and children for blasphemy, heresy, and apostasy. One Christian Syrian woman described ‘Christians being killed and tortured, and … children being beheaded in front of their parents,'” the law group has said.

It added that Assyrian Christians have faced mass kidnappings; children and adults have been tortured for refusing to deny their faith in Christ; and other Christian children have been raped and burned to death by the radicals.

An investigative report by Christian groups Open Doors and Served and Middle East Concern has warned that at least 50 percent, but possibly as much as 80 percent, of Christians in Syria and Iraq have fled the region since 2011.

Austria has become one of the first countries in the world to not only formally recognize the genocide being committed against Christians in Iraq and Syria, but also to advance a seven-point plan aimed at helping victims.

The American Center for Law and Justice reported on Tuesday that the Austrian National Council formally recognized earlier in June the “heinous atrocities” being committed by the Islamic State terror group against Christians and other religious minorities, and committed itself to carrying out at least three steps of a seven-point plan to help those who are displaced.

“Austria has become one of the first countries to take a decisive stand,” the ACLJ wrote, calling it a “major step forward” in the conservative group’s campaign to rescue followers of Christ.

The legal group launched its seven-point plan last year, the details of which are available on the ACLJ website, and has urged U.N. member states to join the fight against genocide.

The plan in question calls for the establishment of in-region “safe zones” for genocide victims fleeing radical terror, along with expanding military efforts as part of the international coalition to defeat IS. ChristianPost

President Trump Says Persecuted Christians Will Be Given Priority As Refugees

(b)Upon the resumption of USRAP admissions, the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, is further directed to make changes, to the extent permitted by law, to prioritize refugee claims made by individuals on the basis of religious-based persecution, provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual’s country of nationality. Where necessary and appropriate, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security shall recommend legislation to the President that would assist with such prioritization. Executive Order Jan. 27, 2017

It only makes sense to give priority to those persecuted.  ‘Persecuted’ would include many religious minority groups in the region; Christians, Yazidis…

In an exclusive interview with The Brody File, President Donald Trump says persecuted Christians will be given priority when it comes to applying for refugee status in the United States.

“We are going to help them,” President Trump tells CBN News. “They’ve been horribly treated. Do you know if you were a Christian in Syria it was impossible, at least very tough to get into the United States? If you were a Muslim you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible and the reason that was so unfair, everybody was persecuted in all fairness, but they were chopping off the heads of everybody but more so the Christians. And I thought it was very, very unfair.” CBN

Christian Freedom International president Jim Jacobson praised the order.

“This means that persecuted Christians will finally be considered for resettlement. Under the Obama administration, persecuted Christians from Syria, Iraq, and elsewhere were either essentially ignored or flatly denied consideration for resettlement to the U.S,” Jacobson said in a statement. “The Trump administration has given hope to persecuted Christians that their cases will finally be considered.”  ChristianPost

On Friday President Trump signed an executive order that bans Syrian refugees indefinitely, suspends the U.S. refugee program for 120 days, and blocks entry into the U.S. for 90 days for citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.

Ammar Sawan is a Syrian now living in Jordan who applied to resettle in the U.S.   Sawan and his family is safe in Jordan, he can put all your dreams in the country he is now in – Jordan.

A refugee who fled worn-torn Syria and dreamed of living in the United States with his family is among those who have spoken out following Trump’s immigration ban.

Ammar Sawan took his first step toward resettlement in the US three months ago by submitting to an initial round of security screenings.  But his plan for a better life fell apart when President Donald Trump enforced an indefinite ban on Friday on displaced Syrians entering the United States.

Sawan, who is a Syrian refugee living in Amman, Jordan with his family, revealed on Saturday that he learned of Trump’s decision from TV news the night before.  ‘When we heard of the order, it was like a bolt of lightning, and all our hopes and dreams vanished,’ the 40 year-old said.

The upholsterer, who supports his family with odd jobs in Amman, said he was especially disappointed for his four children who he had hoped would get a good education in the U.S.  DailyMail

Human Rights Organization Places U.S. In ‘Hall of Shame’ For Christian Persecution

The International Christian Concern (ICC) has three categories for classification of Christian persecution: “Worst of the Worst,” “Core Countries” and “New and Noteworthy.”

The ICC placed the United States on its 2016 Hall of Shame list for its persecution of Christians.

Citing the most prominent cases like the Sweet Cakes by Melissa controversy in Southern Oregon, the report made a special case of the Orlando gay nightclub shooting in June 2016 when a Muslim gay man killed 49 people, citing how LGBTQ forces used Christians as scapegoats by accusing them of fostering a culture that made the attacks possible.

“Anti-Christian entities have been able to leverage the growing secularization of society and culture to their advantage, utilizing the courts as a preferred venue to gradually marginalize and silence Christians,” said the report. “Using the cudgel of ‘equality,’ secular forces in and out of the courts have worked to create a body of law built from one bad precedent after another.”

“While there is no comparison between the life of a Christian in the US with persecuted believers overseas, ICC sees these worrying trends as an alarming indication of a decline in religious liberty in the United States,” the report concluded. TruthRevolt

Nearly 90,000 Christians Killed For Their Faith In 2016

When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.
Revelation 6:9

In 2016, Christians were the most persecuted religious group in the world, according to a new study by the Italy-based Center for Studies on New Religions (Censur).

The director of CESNUR and leader of the study, Dr. Massimo Introvigne, told Breitbart News that Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world, and the numbers of those affected are staggering.

Christians are targeted primarily for two reasons, Introvigne said, “first because their proclamation of peace disturbs more belligerent groups; and second, because their social teachings on life, family and poverty are opposed by powerful forces.”

While in the past century, atheistic communist regimes were the greatest persecutors of Christians, Introvigne added, the geopolitical landscape has changed considerably since then and the actors have changed as well.

While “Communism’s last salvoes” are still responsible for some ill-treatment of Christians, Introvigne told Breitbart, “Islamic ultra-fundamentalism” has taken its place as the number-one agent of persecution.

Introvigne’s findings coincide with those of other scholars and human rights groups. According to the 2016 “World Watch List,” for example, published by the Open Doors organization, nine out of the top ten countries where Christians suffer “extreme persecution” had populations that are at least 50 percent Muslim.

The 2016 report found that “Islamic extremism is by far the most significant persecution engine” of Christians in the world today and that “40 of the 50 countries on the World Watch List are affected by this kind of persecution.” BreitBart

UK Visas: YES To Extremist Islamic Preachers, NO To Christian Archbishops

3 Christian archbishops from Iraq and Syria were denied visas to enter the UK despite being invited to meet Prince Charles – yet ‘extremist Islamic preachers are allowed in’.

Home Office requirements for a standard, short-stay visa:

  • ‘You must always show that: you’ll leave the UK at the end of your visit you’re able to support yourself and any dependents for the duration of your trip
  • You’re able to pay for your return or onward journey and any other costs relating to your visit
  • You have proof of any business or other activities you want to do in the UK, as allowed by the Visitor Rules’

Three Christian leaders from Iraq and Syria were denied entrance to the UK last week – despite a formal invitation to meet Prince Charles.

The men planned to travel to London for a consecration ceremony of Britain’s first Syriac Orthodox Cathedral.

Archbishops Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf of Mosul, Timothius Mousa Shamani of St Matthew’s in Nineveh valley of northern Iraq, and Selwanos Boutros Alnemeh of Homs and Hama in Syria reportedly missed the event as the Home Office deemed their visa applications unacceptable.

The three claimed that they were told their visas were denied because they ‘did not have enough money to support themselves and might not leave the UK’, according to the Sunday Express.

Archbishop Alnemeh claims he was told by the British embassy that they do not issue visas to anyone in Syria.

Terrorist Welcome

The incident has been condemned by critics such as Dr Martin Parsons, who heads research at the Barnabas Fund, which aids Christians to escape war-torn countries.

He said: ‘It’s unbelievable that these persecuted Christians who come from the cradle of Christianity are being told there is no room at the inn when the UK is offering a welcome to Islamists who persecute Christians.

‘There is a serious systemic problem when Islamist leaders who advocate the persecution of Christians are given the green light telling them that their application for UK visas will be looked on favourably, while visas for short pastoral visits to the UK are denied to Christian leaders whose churches are facing genocide.’

In August of this year, The Home Office released a statement which discussed asylum grants being given to members of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood – which is characterised as a terrorist organisation in their own country…

Dr Parsons also claims that two Islamic leaders from Pakistan who advocate the killing of Christians accused of blasphemy were granted UK visas in July. DailyMail

Egypt: Christian Children Kicked Out Of School For Refusing To Wear Hijab Or Recite Koran

Human rights community outcry?  Nope.  It’s not “Islamophobia” so it is ok.

Christian children are being deprived of their education and being ousted from schools for refusing to wear a hijab, it has been revealed.

Schools across Egypt are forcing girls of every religion to wear the Muslim headscarf and children of both sexes are being punished if they cannot quote the Koran off by heart.

Even Muslim girls who refuse to wear a hijab are being forced out of school in a country where Coptic Christians have previously been able to live free of persecution.

Rahman Salem, 12, was ordered to leave her lesson and banned from taking part in any activities at her school in the Delta, northern Egypt. Other pupils gave her nasty looks and started leaving the Muslim girl out over the incident…

Last month another school in the same province of Sharqia put in force rules to make all female students wear a hijab, with the al-Nassiriya School’s headteacher posting a large sign saying Islam dress is now part of the girls’ uniform.

And Christian seven-year-old Viola Samir told how her Islamic religious studies teacher held eight Christian pupils in her class of 35 children back.

The teacher then beat anyone who had not learnt the Koran off by heart.

Usually, Christian students in Egypt move to a different classroom during religious studies classes where they learn about Christianity while Muslims stay and learn about Islam.

Viola’s father told Christian persecution website, World Watch Monitor: “When my daughter told the teacher that the extra texts were not part of the Arabic curriculum [which all students have to learn], she was severely punished by her teacher.

“The Christian religious studies teacher complained to the headmaster, but he took no disciplinary action against the Muslim teacher.

“In the end, the teacher allowed the Christian children to leave the class to join their Christian studies class.” ExpressUK

Federal Judge Berates Obama Administration For Admitting So Few Christian Refugees

Christian Syrians have been one of the primary targets of the Islamic jihadists so one would expect them to represent a significant portion of Syrian refugees accepted into the U.S.  But that is not the case.

While the administration has exceed by almost 1,000 its goal of admitting 10,000 Syrians during the 2016 fiscal year, only 56 were Christian.

“To date, there has not been a good explanation for this perplexing discrepancy,” wrote Judge Daniel Manion.

“It is well‐documented that refugees to the United States are not representative of that war‐torn area of the world. Perhaps 10 percent of the population of Syria is Christian, and yet less than one‐half of one percent of Syrian refugees admitted to the United States this year are Christian,” he added.

Thus, he concluded, we “remain in the dark as a humanitarian catastrophe continues.”

In addition, Manion pointed out that while the Obama administration demanded a high-level of evidence from states objecting to the resettling of refugees due to security concerns, it kept that information secret from those states.

In addition, the government is not forthright about telling the public or individual states what steps are taken to ensure terrorists are not posing as refugees with the goal of infiltrating the U.S.

Between a half- and one-million Syrian Christian have left the country since the outbreak of the war that has seen their communities targeted for genocide by the Islamic State (ISI/ISIL) and other radical Islamist groups. ClarionProject

Christian Pastor Fired From Government Job Over Sunday Sermons

Lay Christian pastor and renowned public health expert Dr. Eric Walsh a week after being hired by the Georgia’s Department of Public Health health agency requested copies of sermons which he preached before congregations of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Similar was tried in 2014 when Houston Mayor Annise Parker subpoenaed pastors sermons.

Thought police are coming for religious people, and you might just be fired from your public sector job if they don’t like what you have to say.

As reported by Fox News’ Todd Starnes, lay Christian pastor and renowned public health expert Dr. Eric Walsh says he was terminated from his position as district health director with the Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH) over his sermons, which discussed issues like homosexuality and evolution. Walsh is currently suing the GDPH for discrimination and retaliation.

Soon after Walsh accepted a position with the GDPH in 2014, he was allegedly internally investigated for his religious speech; government officials would study up and take notes on his sermons for his Seven Day Adventist church posted online. As the GDPH Director of Communication Nancy Nydam told the Daily Wire, the Georgia Attorney General’s office requested Walsh turn over his Sunday sermons. He was subsequently fired.

Nydam refused to comment further, as the GDPH “does not comment on pending litigation.”

First Liberty, a firm that defends religious liberty, is representing Walsh in the legal battle.

“No one in this country should be fired from their job for something that was said in a church or from a pulpit during a sermon,” said attorney Jeremy Dys. DailyWire
