David Wood – Muhammad: The Suicidal Messenger

According to Islam’s most trusted sources, Muhammad repeatedly tried to kill himself. Indeed, he tried to kill himself so many times that we can fairly call him “the Suicidal Messenger.”

In this video, David Wood examines passages on Muhammad’s suicide attempts in the History of al-Tabari, Ibn Ishaq, and Sahih al-Bukhari, showing that the real purpose of Islam was to keep Muhammad from killing himself.

David Wood: Did Jesus Pray Like a Muslim?

David Wood:  “An odd but common Muslim argument insists that Jesus prayed like a Muslim, so Christians should pray like Muslims. In this video, I respond by taking a closer look at the prayers of Jesus.”

Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Matthew 26:39 (NIV)

David Wood: Why Muslims Pray to Muhammad

Muslims often claim that Islam is the religion of pure submission to Allah. However, in their daily prayers, Muslims say, “As-salamu alaika ay-yuhan nabiy-yu,” which means, “Peace be upon YOU, O Prophet.” Since Muslims are directly addressing Muhammad during their daily prayers, they’re assuming that Muhammad can hear them. This requires the divine attribute of omnipresence on Muhammad’s part.

Because Muslims speak directly to Muhammad during their daily prayers, they can no longer claim that Islam is the religion of pure submission to Allah. Islam is polytheistic, and any Muslim who prays the way Muhammad commanded is guilty of shirk (associating partners with Allah).

David Wood: Did Muhammad Tell Us to Love One Another?

Speaking at an Orlando shooting vigil in Salt Lake City, Utah Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox stated:

Ultimately, there is only one way for us to come together. It must happen at a personal level. We must learn to truly love one another. The Prophet Muhammad is reported to have said: “You will not enter paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another.” Jesus said, “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you.”

David Wood:  “While it may be comforting, following a tragedy, to think that Muhammad commanded people to love one another, is this what Muhammad actually meant? Let’s take a closer look. ”

David Wood: Ramadan Massacre At Gay Nightclub in Orlando

Ramadan 2016 Alert:
Early in the morning on June 12th, 2016, American Muslim Omar Mir Seddique Mateen opened fire at “The Pulse,” a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Mateen killed around 50 people and injured dozens more while shouting “Allahu Akbar!” Before the attack, he called 911 to declare his allegiance to ISIS. Did this shooting have something to do with Islam, the Quran, ISIS, Jihad, and Muhammad?

David Wood discusses the evidence and confronting Islam with something it can’t hope to overcome.

David Wood: The Truth About Ramadan

David Wood:  “Paradoxically, Muslims tend to eat far more when they’re fasting than when they’re not fasting. You see, Ramadan isn’t simply not eating. It’s gorging yourself before sunrise, taking a break while the sun’s out and gorging yourself again at sundown; a diet recommended by no doctor, ever.”

Ramadan 2016 has started, so this is a great time to learn about Islam’s holiest month.
