Video: ‘Beating up fascists is good,’ college students say

“Beating up fascists is good.”

what is most troubling is that these anti-free speech beliefs and tactics are not simply embraced by a radical fringe. A recent Brookings Institute study found that a majority of students believe that disrupting speakers to silence them is “acceptable” and one in five students (19%) endorse the use of violence to silence an “offensive” speaker. A plurality of students believe that “hate speech” is not covered by the First Amendment, despite Supreme Court precedent establishing otherwise.  DailyWire

Campus Reform

As acts of political violence in America increase in regularity, a new poll shows that many college students have no problem with it.

Of those surveyed, a startling 19 percent claimed to support the use of violence to silence speakers they find offensive, the same perspective held by the increasingly violent Antifa groups around the country.

Wanting to see what college students in Washington, D.C. thought of Antifa, Campus Reform took to the campus of American University to ask students their opinion of the violent leftist organization recently labeled a domestic terror organization by the Department of Homeland Security.

Immediately, the students made it clear that they had no problem with the controversial group. CampusReform

Public School Teachers Behind Violent Antifa Group

Public school teachers are leaders among in an Antifa faction – By Any Means Necessary (BAMN); a violent anarchist organization that DHS has classified as carrying  out “domestic terrorist violence” are teaching children in public schools; filling their heads with Antifa rot and that violence works.

Public school teachers are behind a leading far-left militant group that is part of the Antifa network that federal officials say is committing “domestic terrorist violence.”

By Any Means Necessary, which has played a key role in riots in Berkeley, Sacramento and elsewhere, has dozens of public school teachers among its members, including among its most prominent leaders.

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security began paying closer attention to Antifa groups in general after BAMN and other extremists started a riot and attacked marchers at a white nationalist rally in Sacramento last July, Politico reported on Friday. The Sacramento violence left at least 10 people hospitalized, several of whom had knife wounds….

After BAMN and other antifa groups staged violent protests in Berkeley to keep right-wing author Milo Yiannopoulos from speaking, Felarca defended her group’s acts of violence. BAMN was able to cancel another event, this time an April speech by pro-Trump author Ann Coulter, by promising a repeat performance of the Milo riots.

The FBI and DHS say Antifa groups like BAMN are engaging in “domestic terrorist violence,” according to the Politico report.

Just last weekend, Felarca helped organize BAMN’s mass demonstrations that “shut down” an anti-Marxism rally in Berkeley. As with BAMN’s other organized actions, left-wing actors at Saturday’s demonstrations violently attackedpeaceful protesters. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi condemned the Antifa violence in Berkeley, while Felarca called BAMN’s actions a “resounding success.” DailyCaller

By Any Means Necessary (BAMN) most prominent organizer is Yvette Felarca, a Berkeley middle school teacher and pro-violence anarchist.

Homeland Security Makes it Official: Antifa Classified As Domestic Terrorists

About time!

Federal authorities have been warning state and local officials of Antifa’s increasingly dangerous tactics — including attacks on the police — since early 2016 but were widely ignored long before Charlottesville and while Barack Obama was still president, Politico reported.  NewsMax

Politico:

Since well before the Aug. 12 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, turned deadly, DHS has been issuing warnings about the growing likelihood of lethal violence between the left-wing anarchists and right-wing white supremacist and nationalist groups.

Previously unreported documents disclose that by April 2016, authorities believed that “anarchist extremists” were the primary instigators of violence at public rallies against a range of targets. They were blamed by authorities for attacks on the police, government and political institutions, along with symbols of “the capitalist system,” racism, social injustice and fascism, according to a confidential 2016 joint intelligence assessment by DHS and the FBI.

After President Donald Trump’s election in November, the antifa activists locked onto another target — his supporters, especially those from white supremacist and nationalist groups suddenly turning out in droves to hail his victory, support crackdowns on immigrants and Muslims and to protest efforts to remove symbols of the Confederacy.

Those reports appear to bolster Trump’s insistence that extremists on the left bore some blame for the clashes in Charlottesville and represent a “problem” nationally.

Though it reportedly exists without a leader or official chain of command, Antifa members are connected and operate much like terrorist cells do, and in April of 2016, a joint report by the FBI and DHS members spend weeks planning for violence at selected events, Politico reported. NewsMax

At the Sacramento rally, antifa protesters came looking for violence, and “engaged in several activities indicating proficiency in pre-operational planning, to include organizing carpools to travel from different locations, raising bail money in preparation for arrests, counter-surveilling law enforcement using three-man scout teams, using handheld radios for communication, and coordinating the event via social media,” the DHS report said. Politico

“Both the racists and a segment of violent Antifa counter-protestors are amped for battle in an escalating arms race, where police departments are outmaneuvered, resulting in increasingly violent dangerous confrontations,” former New York City police officer Brian Levin, who has been monitoring domestic militants for 31 years, told Politico. “It’s an orchestrated dance. The rallies spill over into social media and then even more people show up at the next rally primed for violent confrontation.”

Also in that April 2016 report, the FBI and DHS warned that Antifa would get more violent if “fascist, nationalist, racist or anti-immigrant parties obtain greater prominence or local political power in the United States, leading to anti-racist violent backlash from anarchist extremists,” Politico reported.

Further, Politico reports that some of the Antifa terrorists traveled to Turkey to train with kindred organizations, including two fighting against ISIS. NewsMax

Southern Poverty Law Center condemns antifa, but won’t call hate group  – of course not SPLC and Antifa  have the same overall goals:
Destroy freedom of speech.
Demonize and destroy those that deviate from the approved Leftist agenda.

New Jersey Homeland Security Officially Lists Antifa As A Domestic Terrorist Organization

Terrorism:  “the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.”

The Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness in New Jersey has officially designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization following months of sporadic violence across the country…

The DHS in New Jersey has been taking notes of these violent incidents and seen fit to designate Antifa as a domestic terrorist movement under the heading “Anarchist Extremists: Antifa.”

“In the past year, Antifa groups have become active across the United States, employing a variety of methods to disrupt demonstrations,” New Jersey government states. The advisory, which includes a reference to Milo Yiannopoulos’ canceled speaking event at UC Berkeley, states how Antifa uses everything from real-world physical violence to online “doxing” tactics, which it uses to scare and intimidate individuals into shutting up.

In April, alleged Antifa members brawled with supporters of Donald Trump and conservatives at the “Battle for Berkeley.” Various acts of violence were also committed in cities like Boston, MA and Portland, OR, where alleged members of the violent leftist group fought against Republicans and supporters of Donald Trump who marched in protest of leftist intolerance. This past weekend, a gathering of alleged Antifa members disrupted a pro-Trump rally in Philadelphia through physical violence. HeatSt
