Over 2 Years More Than 100 Terror Plots Against The West By ISIS

Unfortunately despite all our progress against ISIL on the battlefield and in the financial realm, our eforts have not reduced the group’s terrorism capability and global reach.
-CIA Director John Brennan testimony before Senate Select Committee on Intelligence June 2016

A US Homeland Security report, Terror Gone Viral, compiled data that shows ISIS has been linked to 100+ plots against the West over the last two years.  Alarmingly the terrorist group is getting more efficient.  In 2016, 44 percent of their attempted plots were successful, compared to 31 percent last year.

Key Findings:

  • ISIS has now been linked to 100+ attack plots against Western countries—an unprecedented wave of terror.
  • ISIS attacks are getting deadlier and more destructive.
  • The United States continues to be the most-targeted country.
  • Refugee flows have become a key pathway for terrorists to expand their reach into Western countries.
  • Most of the group’s external operations are carried out by independent followers.
  • But so-called “lone wolves” are not always operating alone, and ISIS is increasingly involved in directing plots.
  • Foreign fighters and core ISIS operatives are playing a growing role in plots.
  • Terrorists are “going dark,” making it harder to detect and disrupt attacks.
  • Explosives are becoming a major part of the ISIS plotter’s arsenal.
  • Forty percent of ISIS plots against the West have targeted government, military, and law enforcement.
  • Crowded places—especially public transit and entertainment venues—continue to be top terrorist targets.
  • The majority of ISIS plotters continue to be young men.

Palestinian Refugee Camps Or Terrorist Bases?

Ain Al-Hilweh

Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon over the last decades have increasingly become bases for various militias and terrorist groups.

ISIS is on the mind of the Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership. Top PA officials have expressed concern that jihadi groups, including ISIS, have managed to infiltrate Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

Lebanese authorities are also worried — so worried that they have issued a stiff warning to the Palestinians: Stop the terrorists or else we will take security into our own hands.

According to Lebanese security sources, more and more Palestinians in Lebanon have joined ISIS and the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Al-Nusra Front, a Sunni Islamist militia fighting against Syrian government forces. In response, the Lebanese security forces have taken a series of measures in a bid to contain the problem and prevent the two Islamist terror groups from establishing bases of power in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

The Lebanese authorities are concerned with ISIS and Al-Nusra Front in the Palestinian refugee camps, especially the Ain Al-Hilweh refugee camp, the largest camp in Lebanon, with a population of more of than 120,000.

Alarmed by the success of ISIS and Al-Nusra Front in recruiting dozens of Palestinians to their ranks, the Palestinian Authority leadership this week sent Azzam Al-Ahmed, a senior advisor to President Mahmoud Abbas, to Beirut for urgent talks with Lebanese government officials on ways of containing the escalation. The PA leadership fears that the heightened activities of the two terrorist groups in the refugee camps will force the Lebanese army to launch a massive military operation to get rid of the terrorists, who pose an immediate threat to Lebanese national security.

Al-Ahmed, who is in charge of the Lebanon Portfolio in the Palestinian Authority, held a series of meetings with Lebanese government officials in a bid to avoid a security showdown between the Lebanese army and the Palestinians living in the country’s refugee camps. Following a meeting with Lebanese Interior Minister Nihad Al-Mashnouk, the Palestinian envoy said that the talks focused on the need to take “joint steps to ensure security stability in the Palestinian refugee camps.” According to Al-Ahmed, the talks also dealt with ways to prevent certain parties, especially ISIS and Al-Nusra Front, from exploiting the Palestinian refugee camps to threaten Lebanon’s security interests.  GatestoneInstitute

Islamic State Expanding To Europe, Mideast, North Africa, Asia

isisflagmansyriaISIS tentacles are infiltrating cells into seven areas in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia, that “represent areas where there is expected to be a continued interest in operating, support networks to do so, and a likelihood for more than a one-off attack,” a State Department security report states.

Two years since it shifted from terrorist group to governing organization holding territory, the Islamic State is expanding to seven emerging areas of Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia, according to a State Department security report.

“In addition to establishing its base in Syria and Iraq, and naming official provinces in numerous countries, [the Islamic State group] has demonstrated a heightened capability to carry out and operate in the [seven] countries,” the report by the Overseas Security Advisory Council states. The council is a State Department organization that provides security support to American businesses operating overseas.

The seven new theaters of operation are Turkey, Tunisia, Lebanon, France, Belgium, Bangladesh and the Philippines.

The Islamic State group, also known as ISIS and ISIL, is active in other locations as well, but the seven locations “represent areas where there is expected to be a continued interest in operating, support networks to do so, and a likelihood for more than a one-off attack,” the report states. UK Kuwaiti-born Navy Officer Joins ISIS

Ali Alosaimi
Ali Alosaimi

Ali Alosaimi, a navy officer in the UK,  fled to Syria to join ISIS.   His personal details were found among a cache of ISIS documents. Defense experts now concerned of terror attacks on ships.

A navy officer who trained at one of Britain’s most prestigious maritime colleges has fled to Syria to join the Islamic State terror group.

Defence experts warned last night that 28-year-old Ali Alosaimi’s high-level skills and exhaustive knowledge of the nation’s shipping fleet represented a terrifying security threat.

Having already targeted passenger jets, there has long been concern that militants will try to bring terror to the seas by attacking ships and ferries.

‘This suddenly raises the spectre of IS damaging shipping,’ said former Royal Navy chief Admiral Lord West. ‘Someone with his knowledge opens up a whole new area where terrorism can take place.’

Kuwaiti-born Alosaimi’s personal details were found among a cache of IS documents leaked to The Mail.

Roommate claims Alosaimi joined ISIS based on Assad and Syrian videos.  Aw, no.

Alosaimi’s former housemate in South Shields said that he was radicalised by watching videos of killings in Syria committed by President Bashar Assad’s troops. DailyMail

Jihad has existed for 1400 years, emanating from Muslim clerics that preached and continue today to preach Islamic domination with an emphasis on conquest.  Muslims do not join ISIS in anger over a political civil war in Syria.  Muslims are not joining ISIS as some have fought throughout history for freedom and democracy; they join out of dedication and instructions from their religion.

I Had No Idea I Was Married To The Head Of ISIS

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi-leader of ISIS

In 2009 for a few months Saja al-Dulaimi was the second wife of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.  The marriage lasted only a few months.

In 2013, Saga decided to visit her family in Damascus.

I did not know there was chaos and war in Syria. I looked at the Syrian TV channels and claimed that everything was under control. Therefore, I went to Damascus, claiming Saga…

The Syrian security police claim that Saga’s father is one of the leaders of the terrorist group al-Nusrafronten (al-Qaeda) in Syria.

In March 2014, after six months in the Syrian prison, she was released along with 151 other women in a prisoner exchange between the regime in Damascus and the terror group al-Nusrafronten. Expressen

In 2014 Saja tried sneaking into Lebanon with forged papers and was arrested. Continue reading “I Had No Idea I Was Married To The Head Of ISIS”

‘It’s Genocide,’ EU Parliament Says of Christian And Other Religious Minority Slaughter by ISIS

“The plight of Middle East Christians is sobering. In Syria, the number of believers has plummeted from 1.2 million to less than 500,000.

In neighboring Iraq, roughly two-thirds of that country’s 1.5 million Christians have either been killed or have been forced to flee ISIS.”

isis-genocideIn a historic move, members of Parliament passed a resolution this week calling the atrocities by the Islamic terror group “crimes against humanity” and calling for an investigation of their human rights abuses.

Members of the European Parliament say that what the Islamic terror group ISIS is doing to Christians and other religious minorities in Syria and Iraq amounts to “war crimes” and “genocide.”

“It is very important to call it genocide, it’s important because it is the truth,” Nina Shea, with Freedom House, said. Freedom House has been documenting ISIS atrocities.

“In the ISIS controlled territory, there is no evidence right now of any Christian life, all the Christians have either been killed or driven out. The Yazidis, thousands of them, their women are now sex slaves,” Shea said. CBN

ISIS Sets Sights On Overthrowing Governments Of Morocco and Tunisia

North_Africa_regions_mapAmid growing civil unrest in Morocco and Tunisia, ISIS has launched a media campaign directed at Muslims to attack both states and oust their ‘apostate’ democratic governments.

The campaign, launched on Thursday, consists of several videos released by different ISIS provinces. The jihadists participating in the campaign call on Muslims to join ISIS strongholds in Tunisia, Libya, Mali and Algeria in order to oust the apostate democratic governments of Tunisia and Morocco and replace them with an Islamic regime based on Sharia law.

ISIS jihadists blame the Islamic Maghreb’s governments for striving to ‘westernize’ Muslims by cultivating Western lifestyle which contradicts the Islamic tradition in their state. They also vehemently attack Tunisia for its participation in the international coalition against ISIS, claiming that Tunisia takes part in the killing of Sunnis together with Russia and the US, in the guise of fighting terror.

A Tunisian jihadist speaking in the video urges Muslims to attack Tunisia, saying: “Follow in the footsteps of your brothers in Paris. Is it easier to bypass the security measures in Paris than in Tunisia? No. But we know Tunisia and we know its coward policemen. Hence, you can do twice as much as your brothers have done in France.” JPost

U.S. Dropped Leaflets Give 45 Minute Warning Before Bombing

The White House administration is concerned about causing civilian deaths in ISIS controlled areas so leaflets are dropped 45 minutes before airstrikes on oil tanker trucks to give the drivers time to leave the area. According to a military official “We did a show of force, by — we had aircraft essentially buzz the trucks at low altitude.”

Concern for the drivers of ISIS oil tankers?  Where was that concern with drone strikes in Yemen and Pakistan?  Why civilian concerns when bombing ISIS?  Concern for civilians or sympathetic with the case of the enemy?

“We have destroyed 116 tanker trucks and reduced ISIS’s ability to transport stolen oil,” reported Col. Steve Warren.

So after all this time, they came up with a great plan; drop flyers on ISIS trucks so that the drivers, who may or may not be ISIS members, can run away in time. Meanwhile ISIS gets 45 minutes of warning.

“In Al-Bukamal, we destroyed 116 tanker trucks, which we believe will reduce ISIL’s ability to transport its stolen oil products,” Warren said. “This is our first strike against tanker trucks, and to minimize risks to civilians, we conducted a leaflet drop prior to the strike. We did a show of force, by — we had aircraft essentially buzz the trucks at low altitude.”

The leaflets, which fluttered to the ground about 45 minutes before the strikes, simply said: “Get out of your trucks now, and run away from them. Warning: airstrikes are coming. Oil trucks will be destroyed. Get away from your oil trucks immediately. Do not risk your life.”  “We combine these leaflet drops with very low altitude passes of some of our attack aviation, which sends a very powerful message,” the colonel added.  FrontPageMag

One is reminded of “Monty Python’s Holy Grail – Trojan Rabbit ” when King Arthur and his men build a Trojan Rabbit for the French knights to take into their castle. But the men forget to get inside the Rabbit to
fall upon the French. The French catapult the Rabbit back on top of King Arthur and his men, laughing all the way.

Russia Targeting ISIS-held Oil Trucks And Refineries

Russian aims to cut off ISIS’s main source of income – oil.

During the recent years, the ISIS and other extremist illegal armed groups have managed to establish favourable conditions for so-called “on-wheels oil pipe line”.

Hundreds of tanker vehicles deliver thousands of tons of oil to Iraq. This is one of the main income sources of terrorists.

It can be seen that hundreds of tanker vehicles are forming columns.

In the course of the first several days, the Russian aviation has eliminated approximately 500 fuel trucks. This significantly reduced terrorists’ illegal oil export capabilities and their income. Russia Ministery of Defense
