The Manchester suicide bomber is believed to have been a “mule,” using a bomb built by someone else, it was reported Wednesday, as British authorities arrested three more suspects in the massacre. NYPost

Father and brother were out of the country visiting Libya, both have been arrested.  Immediately after the attack one brother was picked up in Manchester.

the terrorist’s father and brother were detained in Libya while police have confirmed that an off-duty female police officer was among the 22 people killed in the attack.

Libyan security forces said the brother “was aware of all the details” of attack plans…

Abedi’s younger brother Hashem has also reportedly been arrested in Tripoli, Libya, on suspicion of having links to the Islamic State group that claimed responsibility for the attack. Telegraph

he Manchester suicide bomber who killed 22 people at a concert venue packed with children was part of a network, the city’s chief of police said on Wednesday as troops were deployed across Britain to help prevent further attacks.

Police made three new arrests and searched an address in central Manchester in what police chief Ian Hopkins described as a fast-moving investigation.

“I think it’s very clear that this is a network that we are investigating,” Hopkins told reporters outside Manchester police headquarters.

“And as I’ve said, it continues at a pace. There’s extensive investigations going on and activity taking place across Greater Manchester as we speak.” FreeBeacon

22 killed and 119 injured , one of Britain’s deadliest attacks in years, at pop star Ariana Grande concert, a favorite of pre-teens.

At least 22 people, children among them, died in a suicide attack at an Ariana Grande concert at Britain’s Manchester Arena late Monday night.

The Islamic State group on Tuesday said one of its members “planted bombs in the middle of crowds,” the Associated Press reported.

According to police, the bomber died when he detonated an improvised explosive device near one of the arena’s exits at 10:33 p.m. local time (5:33 p.m. ET) on Monday. Another 59 people were injured, several from the pandemonium that ensued as concert goers rush to flee the scene.

Police arrested a 23-year-old man in South Manchester on Tuesday morning in connection with the bombing. Prime Minister Theresa May also said the authorities believe they know the identity of the man who carried out the bombing.

May said “many” children were among the dead and injured.

The first confirmed fatality was Georgina Callender, 18. She was an Ariana Grande “superfan” from Lancashire who in 2015 met her idol, who posed for pictures with her young fan. An 8-year-old girl was also known dead but her name has not been released [ Saffie Rose Roussos].
