What sex are the children? I would say girl children.
Boko Haram terrorists have so far used more than 145 girls in suicide bombing missions between January and July 2017” – although the figure could actually be higher, reported Punch.
Some Nigerian families are donating their children to extremist terrorist group Boko Haram to carry out suicide missions against the country’s military, the country’s army said in a statement Saturday.
Nigerian Army spokesman Sani Usman pleaded with local parents to discontinue the practice as the terrorist group continues its deadly insurgency. “It was discovered that most of these hapless minors were donated to the terrorist sect by their heartless and misguided parents and guardians,” Usman said.
“The acts of these parents and guardians are not only barbaric, but condemnable and unacceptable,” the spokesman added.
Boko Haram has pioneered the use of mostly female suicide bombers in its insurgency against the Nigerian government, frequently kidnapping or cultivating young girls into the practice. At times the group has been known to deploy pregnant women as decoy suicide bombers. DailyCaller
A report by Rescue Christians (video below) gives details of the severity of Christian persecution in Nigeria in the six years in which Boko Haram has unleashed its reign of terror. 100,000 Christians’ homes destroyed and 5,000 murdered. “As a result there are 7,000 widows and 10,000 orphans in the Maiduguri diocese.”
A report by the charity also found some 350 churches have been destroyed in the diocese, which encompasses Borno and Yobo states as well as part of Adamawa. More than half of the Maiduguri diocese’s parish centers, chaplaincies and church-run primary schools have been deserted by Nigerian Catholics and many of them are occupied by Boko Haram militants, who control up to 85 percent of the diocese territory.
“People are very scared, and those who are able to return home find there is nothing left,” Rev. Father Gideon Obasogie, the diocesan director of social communications, told ACN, according to Catholic Herald. “A life lived with much fear is terrible.” IBTimes

Boko Haram Ramadan in Nigeria.
Five churches, including COCIN, EYN and Deeper Life Bible Church, in Kwada village about 10 kilometres from Chibok town, were on Sunday attacked by Boko Haram insurgents. The attackers, according to report from locals in Chibok, targeted the time when worshipers were ready for the Sunday Service.
“They killed and burnt houses after attacking worshipers in five churches in Kwada; after that, they advanced to Kautikari, less than 8 kilometres to Chibok town, whey they equally killed people and destroyed properties.”
“I’m not sure security agencies have gone to rescue the villagers, but I learnt that the insurgents are still in pursuit of the remaining villagers”, Mallam Yahi told DailyPost.
Update: Boko Harem video of girls may be a fake. “They are not the same. They are not the girls abducted,” said Ojutiku, a Southern Baptist in Raleigh, N.C., who receives frequent updates from members of the grassroots group Lift Up Now. He co-founded the group to address political, economic and social challenges in his homeland Nigeria.
More likely, the Monday (May 12) video is a ruse by the Islamic terrorists to mislead those searching for the girls, Ojutiku said.” Baptist Press
The fate of more than 200 Nigerian girls, that were kidnapped in April by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram, has turned even more nightmarish when the leader of Boko Haram announced plans to sell them.
“I abducted your girls,” the group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, said in the 57-minute video.
Boko Haram, which means “Western education is sinful”, has been waging a bloody insurgency to establish sharia law in northern Nigeria.
“I have kidnapped a girl in an school with Western education and that bothers you. I say that Western education must end – it must end! The girls must leave and get married,” he said.
Shekau also threatened to sell the girls.
“By Allah, I will sell them in the marketplace,” he said in the video, which starts off with Islamist fighters lofting automatic rifles and shooting in the air as they chant “Allahu akbar!” (“God is great”). France24
