Pulse Nightclub Terrorist’s Wife: I Knew He Was Going To Orlando To Attack

Noor Salman, the wife of terrorist Omar Mateen, had knowledge of the massacre Omar Mateen was planning, he killed 49 people and injured  58 people.  She knew, which makes her an accessory.

A handwritten statement given to the FBI by the wife of Pulse nightclub gunman Omar Mateen says she saw him prepare for the deadly attack for months and knew that the LGBT nightclub was his target…

She told agents multiple times she knew his plans and that he was going to attack the Orlando club when he left their home.

She told agents she knew “my fears had come true and he did what he said he was going to do. I was in denial and I could not believe that the father of my child was going to hurt other people.”

The statement includes that during a two-year span before the attack. Mateen would browse jihad websites almost everyday and frequently watch beheading videos. He was angry and frustrated about treatment of Muslims in the Middle East and talked about retaliating against Americans.

“He said if he did jihad everybody would know who he is,” Salman wrote in the statement.,,

Salman’s attorneys have been fighting against the use of the statement in court, claiming that she was in custody and had not been read her Miranda rights, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Prosecutors have said she was not under arrest and that all of her statements were voluntary, though she told agents several stories before writing the statement, which included an apology for lying to the FBI.

She wrote that Mateen bought a rifle about four days before the attack. She saw it in the trunk of his car and asked him about it. He told her not to say “anything to anybody,” covered it up then said it was for his security guard job.

Days ahead of the attack, Mateen bought ammunition and went to the shooting range “a lot,” Salman wrote. He told her it was for work. He also spent a large amount of money and made Salman a beneficiary on his bank accounts, telling her it was “in case something happened,” she wrote in the statement.

In the statement, Salman described driving slowly by several destinations, including Disney World and Pulse nightclub, before the shooting. He asked Salman when driving by Pulse, “How upset are people going to be when it gets attacked?” the statement said.

Federal prosecutors say Mateen was casing potential targets. It’s unclear why he chose Pulse.

Two days before the shooting, Salman saw Mateen looking at the website for the club. When she saw what he was doing, he said, “this is my target,” the statement reads.

Salman told FBI agents, “I knew that the time to attack the club was close.”

The night before the attack, he left the house and looked “pumped up,” she wrote in the statement, adding he told her, “This is the one day.”

He had a handgun in a holster around his waist and put on a backpack that had ammunition inside, she wrote, adding she knew “this was the time that he was going to do something bad.”

“I knew when he left the house he was going to Orlando to attack the Pulse nightclub,” she wrote.  USAToday

Wife Of Pulse Nightclub Killer To Stand Trial In Orlando

Noor Salman could face life in prison.

The wife of Omar Mateen, the gunman who killed 49 people at an Orlando nightclub last year in the name of ISIS, will stand trial in the Florida city, a judge ordered Wednesday.

Noor Salman’s attorneys had filed a motion in September to have her trial moved to another city, claiming that media coverage of her husband’s attack and remarks from Orlando Police Chief John Mina wouldn’t allow her to have a fair trial, according to WESH.

Salman has been charged with providing material support to a terror organization and obstruction of justice, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Salman’s husband, Mateen, killed 49 people and wounded almost 70 others when he opened fire at Pulse nightclub on June 12, 2016 in one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history.  FoxNews

FBI Releases Full Transcript of Orlando 911 Calls

The references to Allah in the transcript were changed to “God.”
fbi-orlando-transcript

The FBI reversed direction Monday and released the full transcript of the 911 call Orlando massacre shooter Omar Mateen made while in the midst of shooting-up the Pulse nightclub.

Just hours after FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ron Hopper had said he didn’t want to “give credence to to individuals who have done terrorist acts in the past,” the feds did an about face at about 3 p.m. ET and released the unredacted text.

In it, both Mateen and the ISIS leader to whom he pledged allegiance, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, are named.

“Unfortunately, the unreleased portions of the transcript that named the terrorist organizations and leaders have caused an unnecessary distraction from the hard work that the FBI and our law enforcement partners have been doing to investigate this heinous crime,” the statement read.

“As much of this information had been previously reported, we have re-issued the complete transcript to include these references in order to provide the highest level of transparency possible under the circumstances.”

The change of heart came after House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., and other critics of the Obama Administration called the FBI’s decision to redact the transcript of Mateen’s call to the dispatchers “preposterous.” NBCNews

Doctor Listed On G4S Company Records That Carried Out Psych-Evaluation On Omar Mateen Said She Did Not Evalutate Him

Psychologist, Dr Carol Nudelman, said she didn’t evaluate Orlando shooter Omar Mateen for his position at security firm G4S in 2007.  G4S officials called the discrepancy a ‘clerical error’ and said Mateen had been evaluated, but by a different psychologist. DailyMail

pulse-orlandoDid  G4S falsify the records and skimp on the psych-evaluation and perhaps background checks to save money?  G4S hired Omar Mateen who was ‘involuntarily dismissed‘ from a prison corrections officer training program in 2007.

A doctor who is listed on the psychological evaluation for Orlando shooter, Omar Mateen, said she did not see him and she was not even living in Florida at the time when G4S security firm ordered the evaluation.

Psychologist, Dr Carol Nudelman, who now lives in Colorado, said in a statement released through her attorneys to the Miami Herald that she never evaluated Mateen nine years ago for G4S, a security firm that was known as Wackenhut at the time.

However, Nudelman’s name appears on the document in Florida’s state records, which cleared Mateen to carry a firearm as a private security guard.  DailyMail

FBI Reportedly Called Off 2013 Investigation Of Terrorist Omar Mateen Because They Thought His Coworkers Were Racist.

Update: Former New York FBI agent Craig Dotlo also believes that the criticism is unfounded. Yes, the FBI investigated the terrorist twice, but they had their hands tied by the guidelines imposed on them by the Department of Justice, President Obama, and Congress since the 1970s. Moreover, throughout the years, these guidelines have been made stricter.

Dotlo told American Thinker, “The U.S. Congress, President Obama, and the DOJ does not want the FBI conducting an investigation on any Americans unless it can be established there is reasonable suspicion the person considered for investigation has committed unlawful criminal activity. If that benchmark cannot be established the case must be closed. Congress is great in passing these policies, but when things go wrong, they deflect the blame away from themselves and put it on others. If you want the FBI to be more aggressive on these matters, talk to your members of Congress.”  AmericanThinker

If you see something, say something then get branded a racist.

The FBI reportedly cancelled its 2013 investigation into Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen after only 10 months because they viewed the terroristic threats he made as a reaction to “being marginalized because of his Muslim faith,” by his coworkers.

According to Fox News’ Catherine Herridge, the revelation came during a closed door meeting with FBI Director James Comey Monday afternoon.

“Director Comey confirmed to reporters this morning that there was a full FBI investigation of Omar Mateen in 2013,” she explained. “It was 10 months in length, and it was opened after he told his coworkers that he had family connections to Al Qaeda, that he was a member of a Shi’a terrorism organization and that he hoped law enforcement would raid his home and assault his wife so that he could then retaliate and martyr himself.”…

“At the end of 10 months the investigation was closed with no further action. They took Mateen’s statements he was trying to taunt his coworkers because he thought he was being marginalized because of his Muslim faith.” Daily Caller

Omar Mateen Worked For Global Security Firm G4S

Omar Mateen worked with private security group G4S Secure Solutions as a private security officer in Florida.

The role requires 28 hours of classroom training by a licensed instructor.  Officials said he had two firearms licenses, a security officer license and a statewide firearms license, all expiring in September 2017.

A guy who has been investigated for ties to terrorism twice can be hired by a global security firm
that is a government-contracted company.

A statement from G4S, the firm that managed security for the London Olympics in 2012 [British troops would be deployed at the 2012 Summer Olympics due to a shortage of adequately trained G4S security staff], read: “We are shocked and saddened by the tragic even that occurred at the Orlando nightclub. We can confirm that Omar Mateen had been employed with G4S since Sept 10 2007. We are cooperating fully with all law enforcement authorities, including the FBI, as they conduct their investigation. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the friends, families, and people affected by this unspeakable tragedy.”

Mateen worked with the company since 2007. It takes on public contracts and has done work with the US government.

The firm is called G4S and claims to be the world’s leading security solutions group with operations in more than 100 countries and 610,000 employees. G4S has more than 50,000 employees in the U.S. and its domestic headquarters is in Jupiter, Florida. Judicial Watch is filing a number of public records requests to get more information involving the arrangement between G4S and the government, specifically the transport of illegal immigrants from the Mexican border to other parts of the country. Omar Mateen, the 29 year-old Muslim born in New York to Afghan parents pledged allegiance to ISIS and opened fire early Sunday morning in a packed Orlando gay nightclub, killing 50 people and wounding at least 53 more in a bloody scene that ended hours later when police stormed the building and killed the shooter.  This is the worst mass shooting in recent US history and the worst terror attack in America since 9/11.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack Sunday afternoon via its Amaq news agency, Time reported.

In a press conference, an FBI spokesman says the agency first interviewed Omar Mateen in 2013 after he made “inflammatory remarks” to a colleague. The investigation was closed.

He added that the FBI had interviewed Mateen again in 2014 about a potential connection with suicide bomber Moner Abu Salha.  BBC

Rubio:  “the new face of the war on terror.”

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said attackers like the shooter in the Orlando massacre are “the new face of the war on terror.”

“They have said openly that they intend to target us here, and one of the hardest parts of this war is the individual who carries out an attack by themselves in a soft target like this, basically, in Orlando, Florida,” Rubio said in a phone interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday.

“And it’s a reminder that the war on terror has evolved into something we’ve never had to confront before — individuals capable of conducting these sorts of massacres unexpectedly in places that you normally wouldn’t associate with the kinds of attacks that you see,” he said. MyFox8

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement on the horrific shooting in Orlando.

“I am devastated by this heartbreaking act of terrorism in Orlando. Jeanette and I join all Floridians and all Americans in grieving for those who lost their lives and praying for those who were injured in this senseless act of hatred, violence and terror.

“I want to thank the heroic police officers and first responders who prevented further loss of life, including the officer at the nightclub who first engaged the shooter. I would also like to encourage anyone living in Central Florida to donate blood to help the injured.

“As local, state and federal authorities investigate the perpetrator of this attack, my Senate office and I stand ready to assist – both by making sure the full weight of the federal government is used to hold anyone responsible for this incident to account, and also with any constituent service needs that arise for the impacted families.

“Confronting the threat of violent homegrown ?radicalization is one of the greatest counterterrorism challenges our law enforcement and intelligence community faces. ?We must do more at every level of government and within our own communities to identify and mitigate this cancer on our free society and prevent further loss of innocent life.”
