David Daoud Wright was found guilty on all counts.
A Massachusetts man was convicted Wednesday of plotting to behead conservative blogger Pamela Geller and kill other Americans on behalf of the Islamic State group.
Jurors found David Wright guilty of all charges, including conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization and conspiracy to commit acts of terrorism transcending national boundaries.
The 28-year-old faces up to life in prison.
Prosecutors said Wright, his uncle and a third man conspired to kill Geller because they were upset she organized Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest in Texas in 2015. During the contest, two other men opened fire outside and wounded a security guard before they were killed in a shootout with law enforcement assigned to guard the event.
Wright’s uncle, Ussamah Rahim, told Wright on a recorded phone call later that month that he couldn’t wait to attack Geller and decided instead to go after “those boys in blue,” referring to police. Wright told his uncle that was “beautiful” and encouraged him to delete all the data from his computer before carrying out his attack. BostonHerald
Video: Pamela Geller Discussing Islamization of San Diego Schools
Pamela Geller: The Islamization of public schools has been proceeding for many years.
Jewish students are the most bullied, but there are no safe places or Judaism lessons in public school. Or for Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. This is part of the escalation of the islamization of the workplace.
It is telling that the public school district is working with a designated terrorist group, CAIR.
This is nothing short short of surrender to an brutal, invading ideology.
Textbook companies have their material on Islam vetted by Islamic groups that turn them into dawah presentations, proselytizing for Islam.
Innumerable textbooks and other material used in public schools today presents a rosy and whitewashed picture of Islam, while being harshly critical of Judaism and Christianity.
Our children are being taught to despise and be ashamed of their own heritage and culture, and to think that any negative word about Islam, even in connection with jihad terror attacks, is racist and Islamophobic. This is a recipe for surrender and subjugation.
Since 2012 the USDA has been stonewalling a petition to label Halal meat.
Some consumers may not wish to consume ritually slaughtered products. They have a right to sufficient labeling information.
Many consumers object to the methods used to slaughter the animal, finding it offensive to eat meat slaughtered according to Islamic ritual. One reason many consumers do not eat Halal meat is the meat is slaughtered in the name of Allah. Muslims who follow halal rituals always pronounce the name of Allah on each animal that is slaughtered.
A great deal of meat sold in this country is halal but is not labeled is such. It’s a scandal — but an established practice: meat packers generally do not separate halal meat from non-halal meat, and do not label halal meat as such. We attempted to right that wrong. But the U.S. Department of Agriculture has for four years now ignored, shelved, or just plain refused to rule on our petition.
As many Americans do not, for a variety of reasons, wish to eat halal meat, back in February 2012, my organization, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), filed a citizen petition with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, asking that a regulation be enacted to ensure that all halal food be clearly labeled as halal. In April 2012, we agreed not to publicize our petition in order to give the agency some space to review the document without any pressure from the public.
On May 11, 2012, we had a face-to-face meeting in the USDA offices with top FSIS officials. We discussed this petition and the need for halal meat to be clearly labeled. Present at this meeting was Dan Engeljohn, a longtime USDA official who is now Assistant Administrator for the Office of Policy and Program Development (OPPD) in the FSIS. This position makes him responsible for FSIS regulations.
Engeljohn and company have now had four years to rule on our petition. They’ve done absolutely nothing.Breitbart
Then in November 2011, I penned an article that caused a firestorm across the political spectrum, revealing that Butterball turkeys were all halal, but were not labeled as such.Heads exploded on the left – not over Butterball’s deception, but over my having the audacity to reveal it. And the clueless and compromised on the right were enraged as well:John Podhoretz tweeted, “I’d tell Pamela Geller to put a sock in it, but the sock might be halal.”
I was, of course, excoriated as a racist Islamophobic anti-Muslim bigot. In reality, however, we have no objection to halal meat being sold, as long as it is clearly labeled as such, and as long as non-halal meat is available. Meat that is halal must be labeled as such..Breitbart
The Petition ask that meat ritually slaughtered by clearly labeled.
Our petition regarding ritual slaughter was posted on the FSIS website on February 14, 2012. It was a “ritual slaughter” petition that applied to all types of ritual slaughter: kosher, halal, etc. Every type of ritual slaughter holds some type of concern for some segment of the consuming public. We were not asking the USDA to single out a specific type of slaughter when dealing with this issue; our petition did not single out one type of ritual slaughter over another, nor did it wish to discriminate against a specific religious group.
We just wanted all meat that had been ritually slaughtered to be clearly labeled to that effect. Kosher meat is routinely marked accordingly; why not halal meat?.Breitbart
Erick Jamal Hendricks, 35, of Charlotte, North Carolina was arrested for supporting ISIS after he tried to organize terror cells in the U.S. Court documents detail FBI’s contact with ISIS recruiter Hendricks before the 2015 Garland, Texas attack.
On April 23, 2015, Hendricks allegedly used social media to contact Elton Simpson, who, along with Nadir Hamid Soofi, was inspired by ISIL and launched the attack on the “First Annual Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest” in Garland. Simpson and Soofi opened fire, wounding a security guard, before Garland police returned fire and killed both Simpson and Soofi.
According to the complaint, Hendricks also connected UCE-1 ( undercover FBI agent ) with Simpson via social media; communicated with UCE-1 about the contest in Garland; and directed UCE-1 to go to the contest. Hendricks allegedly said: “If you see that pig (meaning the organizer of the contest) make your ‘voice’ heard against her.” According to the complaint, he also asked UCE-1 a series of questions related to security at the event, including: “How big is the gathering?” “How many ppl?” “How many police/agents?” “Do you see feds there?’ “Do you see snipers?” and “How many media?” Shortly thereafter, Simpson and Soofi committed the attack on the cartoon drawing contest. Justice Press Release
‘Tear up Texas,’ undercover FBI agent told ISIS shooter before Garland attack.
The Daily Beast recently reported that “days before an ISIS sympathizer attacked a cartoon contest in Garland, Texas, he received a text from an undercover FBI agent. ‘Tear up Texas,’ the agent messaged Elton Simpson days before he opened fire at the Draw Muhammad event, according to an affidavit (pdf) filed in federal court Thursday.”
One undercover FBI agent was at the Garland event.
The Beast’s Katie Zavadski also revealed that the undercover agent was at our free speech event in Garland, where Simpson and Nadir Soofi attempted a jihad massacre…
While I do believe that undercover FBI agents have to play along with the jihadis they’re dealing with, because in order to be in an informant you have to have credibility, it’s a whole other thing if you’re encouraging and cheering on the proposed murder of Americans who are standing in defense of the freedom of speech, and then not doing anything about it. Why did the FBI only have one agent there? And not a team waiting for them to shoot back?
Garland Police given short-term notice of attack, notify of attack 3 hours before event.
In the wake of Garland, the media attacks on us were the overwhelming and overarching story. But outside of that, one of the stories that bubbled to the surface was that the FBI knew about the attack before it happened, but did not alert law enforcement or my security apparatus. When I first heard that the FBI had prior notice of the attack, I thought that it was very short-term notice. It was assumed by many people that the FBI had had some sketchy prior knowledge of the attack, but nothing particularly specific.
Now we find they were in on the planning of the jihad attack, and did nothing about it. If you recall, the FBI only got around to alerting Garland police about Simpson’s jihad plans three hours before our event. It was Garland police, not the FBI, that coordinated all the super security efforts with our own security team.
The Beast reported that this accomplice “asked the undercover officer about the Draw Muhammad event’s security, size, and police presence, during the event, according to an affidavit filed in court. The affidavit does not specify what the undercover responded to questions about size and security.” Why not? Why weren’t the agent’s answers released?
They knew about the attack, yet they didn’t have a team there in case the jihadis started shooting?
How well does the FBI protect American citizens?
It’s hard to escape the conclusion that the Obama FBI wanted me and the other speakers at the event dead. Dutch freedom fighter Geert Wilders was the keynote speaker; he has been living with armed guards for years for supposedly “insulting Islam.” My colleague Robert Spencer has received numerous death threats from Muslims. Cartoon contest winner Bosch Fawstin drew Muhammad. Did Obama’s pro-Islam FBI want us all dead?
The “First amendment” argument is not setting well with many people.
“Lamar Advertising is a disgrace to the media industry and paid advertisers,” said former senior brand manager at Kraft/Heinz, Maytal Ryan Galili.
Ms. Galili continued, “As a seasoned CPG marketer who has spent millions on out-of-home advertising, it is well known that advertisers have every right to reject creative [content]. Lamar Advertising chose not to—just to make an extra buck. Instead, very cowardly, they use the First Amendment of free speech as the excuse. Really? So…if my company came out with a billboard shaming Lamar Advertising, would they post that too? Lamar Advertising #fail.”Observer
Lamar Advertising – which repeatedly turned down my American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) pro-freedom ads…
“We do not accept or reject copy based upon agreement or disagreement with the views presented.” Really? For the past nine months, AFDI has submitted various ads to 15 cities. All were rejected, yet every ad was fact-based.
Our Muhammad ad that we submitted last July, for example, consisted of three Muhammad quotes. And while private and government agencies have no problem running blatantly dishonest ads about Muhammad, such as the false and deceptive ads about Muhammad that Lamar was running from the Muslim Brotherhood group the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), they reject his direct quotes. That is sharia.
Our ad quoting Muhammad saying: “I have been made victorious through terror”; “I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)”; and “I have been commanded to fight against people” – all authenticated quotes from approved Muslim sources. Lamar asked us to provide them with the sources of all the quotations; we did so. Then they rejected the ad “pursuant to their advertising policies.” They gave no further explanation. BreitBart
Regarded as anti-Semitic by many in the Jewish community.
“The billboards bring us back to one of the darkest moments in history, when Jewish businesses were boycotted. Boycotting Israel is the new face of that old disease: anti-Semitism. Make no mistake. Boycotting Israel is classic anti-Semitism with a “Zionophobic” twist, said Peggy Shapiro, Midwest Coordinator for the anti-Semitism watchdog group StandWithUs. “What it exhorts is that Israel and only Israel be singled out, and that the Jews and only the Jews be denied their right to self-determination. The boycotters’ message is one of hate; their strategy is misinformation, and their tactics are evident on billboards, college campuses, and social media. Observer
Lamar posted on Facebook that they have made the decision to remove the billboard ad.
Lamar Advertising is not new to controversy. In 2012, they came under fire for their involvement in an anti-Israel campaign in Denver…That same campaign appeared three years earlier in Albuquerque, New Mexico… The company cut the campaign short after pressure from anti-Semitism watchdogs. Observer
Pamela Geller said in a op-ed, something ‘smells fishy‘ with teen Ahmed Mohamed being taken away in handcuffs for bringing a strange ticking device to school. The police who questioned Ahmed state he was “passive aggressive”.
Achmed’s father “is a Sudanese immigrant who went from selling New York City hot dogs to twice running for president in his native country.” NYDailyNews
TheNew York Daily News reported this Wednesday about Ahmed Mohamed’s father, Mohamed ElHassan Mohamed:
One of the earliest instances of the standout citizen making national news was in 2011, when he sensationally stood up to an anti-Islamic pastor and defended the Koran as its defense attorney. That mock trial at a Florida church ended with the book’s burning, to ElHassan’s claimed shock. In an interview with the Washington Post at the time, the devoted Muslim said he’d take on Rev. Terry Jones’ challenge because the holy book teaches that Muslims should engage in peaceful dialogue with Christians.
Also in 2011, ElHassan debated Robert Spencer on the question of “Does Islam Respect Human Rights?” Clearly, he was trying to score a victory against a famous “Islamophobe” and thus win a name for himself. ElHassan has been looking for publicity and chances to fight against “Islamophobia” for a considerable period. Now he has seized it, going so far as to claim his son was “tortured” by school and law enforcement officials.
He finally has the cause he has been seeking for so long. School officials were being prudent, protecting the children. Irving, Texas has had its share of jihad and sharia. Two Muslim sisters, Amina and Sarah Said, were honor murdered by their father, execution-style, in Irving several years ago. He is still at large. And Irving, Texas is only half an hour from Garland, Texas – the site of a jihad shooting on a free speech event last May. And the news is regularly riddled with stories of young Muslims, all lovely, sweet achievers, who suddenly — go jihad.
Pamela Geller warns it is a security issue.
Agitpop – political (originally communist) propaganda, especially in art or literature.
This story is pure agitprop most fatal. “If you see something, say something” is now racism. And for destroying this simple principle of self-protection, young Ahmed Mohamed is a media star. Not only has Barack Obama invited him to the White House, but NASA has also invited Ahmed to meet with them, as has Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. The whole thing has clearly been a setup, and its effect will be to make Americans less safe. If you ever see a Muslim with a suspicious object, remember the lesson of Ahmed Mohamed: to say something would be “racism.” That could end up being the epitaph of America and the free world. The gun used in the attack at the Garland, Texas draw Muhammad art exhibit was a ‘fast and furious’ gun.
Five years before he was shot to death in the failed terrorist attack in Garland, Texas, Nadir Soofi walked into a suburban Phoenix gun shop to buy a 9-millimeter pistol…
What Soofi could not have known was that Lone Wolf was at the center of a federal sting operation known as Fast and Furious, targeting Mexican drug lords and traffickers. The idea of the secret program was to allow Lone Wolf to sell illegal weapons to criminals and straw purchasers, and track the guns back to large smuggling networks and drug cartels.
Instead, federal agents lost track of the weapons and the operation became a fiasco, particularly after several of the missing guns were linked to shootings in Mexico and the 2010 killing of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in Arizona.
Soofi’s attempt to buy a gun caught the attention of authorities, who slapped a seven-day hold on the transaction, according to his Feb. 24, 2010, firearms transaction record, which was reviewed by the Los Angeles Times. Then, for reasons that remain unclear, the hold was lifted after 24 hours, and Soofi got the 9-millimeter. Read more at Chicago Tribune.
Blogger Pamela Geller, who organized the draw Mohammad cartoon contest, has been threatened once again with her New York City address and apartment number tweeted by an ISIS member in Britain.
The personal address of an anti-Muslim activist was tweeted Friday from a Twitter account bearing the name of a man believed to be a British Islamic State jihadist kingpin. The tweet about Pamela Geller, who heads a group called the American Freedom Defense Initiative, came just hours after a third man connected to a plot to kill her and murder Boston police was arrested.
“#GoForth,” the Tweet urged via a hashtag after revealing Geller’s New York City address, apartment number and all. The Twitter account that sent out the address has since been suspended. IBT
“I can’t go anywhere without a team, without an enormous security apparatus,” Geller told WND. According to WND, Geller’s monthly bill for security is $30,000.
Usaama Rahim, the 26-year-old Muslim man, who was shot and killed on a Boston street this week when he planned to attack and behead police officers
A terrorism suspect shot dead by law enforcement officers in Boston Tuesday morning had been planning to behead police officers, according to an affidavit filed by an unidentified FBI agent who was working on the case.
Court documents quote from recorded phone calls between the suspect, Usaama Rahim, 26, and an alleged conspirator, David Wright, of Everett, Massachusetts. The FBI also interviewed Wright. TheGuardian
Before targeting police officers Rahim had planned to beheld Pamela Geller police confirm.
A Boston man shot to death by the terror investigators who were surveilling him had talked about beheading blogger Pamela Geller before deciding to target police officers, Boston police said Thursday.
“There was some mention of that name,” said Police Commissioner William Evans, who dismissed it as “wishful thinking” while speaking on the “Today” show.
Geller wasn’t surprised that she may have been a target. She’s a combative personality known for provoking Muslims by campaigning against a mosque near the World Trade Center site in New York, sponsoring inflammatory advertisements and organizing Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest in Texas
“They want to make an example out of me to frighten the rest of the US into silence and submission,” Geller wrote in an e-mail to the AP on Thursday. “This is not about me. This is about whether the US will stand for freedom or submit and cower before violent intimidation.” CNSNews

This is a war. This is war on free speech. What are we going to do? Are we going to surrender to these monsters?
Two men with rifles and backpacks attacked police outside our event. A cop was shot; his injuries are not life-threatening, thank Gd. Please keep him in your prayers.
The bomb squad has been called to the event site to investigate a backpack left at the event site.
