Paris Installs Boulders Under Bridge To Prevent Makeshift Migrant Camps

Have the French considered – stop taking in migrants and deport many of those in their country?

Paris authorities placed huge boulders under a bridge where asylum-seekers set up a makeshift camp, local activists say, claiming some migrants who are waiting to be resettled have nowhere else to go and have not slept for days. The makeshift migrant camp was reportedly set up in the Porte de la Chapelle area in the north of the French capital. The camp is in front of La Chapelle refugee center, which still is coping with the mass influx of refugees and apparently cannot admit everyone.

The makeshift migrant camp was reportedly set up in the Porte de la Chapelle area in the north of the French capital. The camp is in front of La Chapelle refugee center, which still is coping with the mass influx of refugees and apparently cannot admit everyone…

L’Express newspaper received a comment from the mayor’s office, which confirmed that it was its decision to place the stones “to avoid street camping.”

A volunteer from Solidarité migrants Wilson told the paper that she talked to migrants who lived under the bridge in La Chapelle.

“They are exhausted, they [are] cold, some have not slept since Friday, we are extremely indignant,” she said, adding that another makeshift center was set up in the area on Sunday. Others took refuge in the Porte de la Chapelle metro station, she added.

The number of refugees arriving in France, however, appears to be much more than the centers are able to host. According to Asylum Information Database, which collects data on the influx of migrants, over 85,000 people applied for asylum in France in 2016.

Many asylum-seekers from the Middle East, Africa, and Afghanistan travel to France in hopes of crossing the English Channel to the UK, often having had their applications rejected elsewhere, or in expectation of better prospects in Britain than in the rest of the EU.  RT

Paris To Build Glass Bulletproof Wall Around The Eiffel Tower

In the face of the ongoing terrorism threat in France, the Eiffel Tower is to be surrounded by 8-foot (2.5meter) high bullet proof glass walls.

The Eiffel Tower in Paris will receive additional security and protection in light of the threat posed by Islamic terrorists.

Thick walls of bullet-proof glass eight feet high will surround the famous tower, which was constructed by the company of engineer Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World’s Fair.

“The terror threat remains high in Paris and the most vulnerable sites, led by the Eiffel Tower, must be the object of special security measures,” said deputy mayor of Paris Jean-Francois Martins.

‘We have three aims: improve the look, make access easier and strengthen the protection of visitors and staff.

“The wall will prevent individuals or vehicles storming the site visited by six million people each year.”

The glass walls will replace the metal fence erected around the tower in 2016 for the Euro soccer championships.

The French newspaper le Parisien reported that the project would cost approximately 16 million Euros ($17 million). INN

The Paris Peace Conference Ends With A Long Declaration

Without the UK and other Commonwealth countries, this Paris declaration most likely will not show up at the UN this week.

Now it is a forceful statement from countries for Israel and the Palestinians to revive work toward long-elusive peace — including an independent Palestinian state.

Israel Cheers

Jerusalem takes credit for softened statement by 70 nations, which omits the ‘problematic passages’ of December’s UN anti-settlements resolution.

The Israeli officials were jubilant that “problematic passages” in a contentious recent UN Security Council resolution on the settlements were not included in the Paris document. Resolution 2334, passed on December 23, had harshly condemned the settlement enterprise, declaring that it has “no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law and a major obstacle to the achievement of the two-state solution and a just, lasting and comprehensive peace.” TimesofIsrael

US

Kerry, who attended the parley, called Netanyahu from Paris and said the United States will oppose any efforts to codify the Paris declaration into another Security Council resolution.

Israeli sources said Kerry called Netanyahu from the conference to brief him on the efforts the US was taking there to soften the language of the final statement.

According to the sources, Netanyahu told Kerry that damage had already been done to Israel by the anti-settlement resolution that the US allowed to pass in the Security Council last month, and that no more harm should be allowed to be caused from the Paris summit.

Kerry assured Netanyahu that there would be no follow- up to the Paris conference in the Security Council, according to the sources.

And, in fact, the statement made no reference to a further Security Council resolution, but did call for a follow-up conference by the end of the year “to support both sides in advancing the two-state solution through negotiations.” JPost

It pushes the two-state solution.

Sending a forceful message to Israel’s prime minister and the incoming Trump administration, dozens of countries called Sunday on Israel and the Palestinians to revive work toward long-elusive peace — including an independent Palestinian state.

The closing declaration at a Mideast peace conference in Paris urged both sides to “officially restate their commitment to the two-state solution” and disassociate from voices that reject this. It also warned them against taking one-sided actions that could hurt talks, an apparent reference to Israeli settlement building. AP

It also welcomed the UN Security Council resolution 2334 and pre-1967 lines.

The Paris summit did indeed end with a long declaration that began with a reaffirmation that insists “a negotiated solution with two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security, is the only way to achieve enduring peace.”

The declaration also demands the two parties restate their commitment to this solution…. “fully end the occupation that begin in 1967, satisfy Israel’s security needs and resolve all permanent status issues on the basis of UN Security Council resolutions 242 (1967), 338 (1973) and also relevant UNSC resolutions” – like the one passed last month.

In addition, the declaration “welcomed” the adoption of UN Security Council resolution 2334 and US Secretary of State John Kerry’s “principle on the two-state solution on 28 December 2016″ – which included his six-point plan for peace.

None of which are in the best national interests of the State of Israel, nor ever addresses or even mentions the systematic government-sponsored terrorist brain washing and programming from cradle to grave carried out by the Palestinian Authority, led by Mahmoud Abbas. Nor do they ever mention the system-wide glorification of terrorism and terrorists that exists throughout each and every school, camp, town, city and village in the Palestinian Authority.  JewishPress

United Kingdom Attended Paris Summit in ‘Observer Status’ Only

Great job UK Prime Minister Theresa May!

The UK did not sign the Paris joint declaration, which reaffirms UN Security Council resolution 2334.

The United Kingdom held back from the Paris conference in more than one way on Sunday — and for good reason — making clear from the very start it had no intention of actively taking part in any international move against Israel.

Prime Minister Theresa May was careful to send that message to both the Netanyahu government and incoming U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in her choice of delegates.

Number 10 Downing sent no senior government officials to the summit. Moreover, a UK Foreign Office spokesperson told the BBC that Britain attended the conference in “an observer status” – which led the UK to refrain from signing the joint declaration of the Paris summit as well.

The Foreign Office told the BBC the UK had “particular reservations” about a gathering “intended to advance peace between the parties that does not involve them.” JewishPress

The UK sends junior delegation to Paris Summit in deference to Trump

Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May looked to the future of her country and deferred to US President-elect Donald Trump on Paris.

Number 10 Downing declined to send its senior ministers to Paris on Sunday, making it clear that for the moment, at least, it won’t support any major moves against Israel in an international forum.

Last week senior advisers to President-elect Donald Trump reportedly told French government officials in a meeting at Trump Tower they “strenuously objected” to the Paris conference, scheduled just five days before Mr. Trump’s inauguration into office and presenting what the president-elect sees as unfair pressure on Israel along with an unjustified reward to Ramallah.

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson did not attend the summit, nor did the UK Ambassador to France, according to a report published Sunday by The Guardian. Likewise, Canada announced that it, too, would refrain from sending senior government officials to the conference. JewishPress

Key Players Absent From The Jan. 15th Paris Peace Conference

The key players absent are Israel, Palestinians, and the next White House administration.  The UK also greatly helped to put a kibosh to this confab.

Those at the confab in Paris backed down.  Now it’s: ‘statement of intent’ and ‘urge’.

The Paris peace conference is taking place without the participation of officials from Israel, the Palestinians or the incoming US government. And while it may seem like a long shot to try to restart beleaguered Middle East peace talks without any of the key players, organisers say that moving forward sends a message. They want both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President-elect Trump to see that most of the world wants a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

According to a draft statement obtained by The Associated Press on Friday, the conference will urge Israel and the Palestinians “to officially restate their commitment to the two-state solution”. It also will affirm that the international community “will not recognise” changes to Israel’s pre-1967 lines without an agreement by both sides.

The Palestinians have welcomed the French initiative and Abbas was initially expected to attend, although his visit to Paris has been postponed. But Netanyahu says the conference is “rigged” against Israel and declined an invitation to a special meeting afterward.

Israeli and Palestinian leaders haven’t negotiated even indirectly since a previous US peace effort collapsed in 2014. Palestinian attacks on civilians and incitement to violence have heightened tensions, as has expanded Israeli settlement-building.

Israel has settled some 600,000 of its citizens in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, which is claimed by the Palestinians for a future independent state. Israel captured both areas in the 1967 Mideast war. Netanyahu has ruled out a return to Israel’s 1967 borders, and many members of his coalition oppose Palestinian independence. France24

Draft Summary From Next Weeks – January 15, 2017 – Paris Israel-Palestinian Peace Conference

What are the 70 nations meeting in Paris Jan. 15th trying to pull?

Yes, the Paris Israel-Palestinian Peace Conference is next week, Jan. 15th.  Haaretz shared a scanned PDF of the draft summary statement that is designed to come out of the conference being held January 15, 2017, in Paris.

1  It is a draft waiting for signatures.
2  It firmly pushes the creation of a Palestinian state.
3  The only solution is a two-state solution.
4  Back to pre-1967 borders for Israel.
5  Jerusalem is divided with most handed over to the Arabs.
6  Changes “two democratic states” that was in the UN Security Councils Resolution 2334 to “two states.”  John Kerry in his  December speech used the term “two states” and did not stipulate both must be “democratic”

Reiterating its vision of a region where two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, live side by side in peace within secure and recognized borders, UN Security Councils Resolution 2334

7  Summary paragraph states:

“expect both sides to restate their commitment to the two-state solution and to disavow official voices on their side that reject this solution”

That is not democratic!  Leaders of democratic countries can not do that.  That is a slick way of under minding democracy in Israel.  That is a setup to isolate Israel more, as Israel can not debate and discuss it only agree or go against 70 nations by disagreeing.

Disavow official voices on their side that reject this solution?  Not just shame and reproach but also attack.

When someone gets disavowed, we all know that to be associated with them will lead to shame and reproach. That person and what they represent, it has been made clear, is out of bounds. theweek

70 Nations – The Grandsons Of Noah

These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. Genesis 9:19

The source of 70 nations is the 70 grandsons of Noah listed in the Bible in Genesis 9 and 10.

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. Psalm 83:4

High-ranking officials from 70 nations of the world will gather in Paris on January 15th in an attempt to force Israel to accept a two-state solution with the Palestinian Authority. By so doing, they will be fulfilling a momentous Biblical prophecy foretold thousands of years ago.

When Israeli statesman Shimon Peres passed away in September, leaders and dignitaries from 70 nations gathered in Jerusalem to pay their last respects. The symbolism is no mere coincidence; the very same number of representatives will gather in Paris, but this time to deny the Jewish connection to the Land of Israel.

“Everyone knows already what the purpose of the conference is: it will be used as another opportunity to try to impose a settlement on Israel and avoid direct negotiations between Israel and it’s neighbors,” Rabbi Avraham Arieh Trugman, director of Ohr Chadash Torah Institute, told Breaking Israel News. “What’s interesting is that it isn’t just one or two enemies with a specific grudge, like the Arabs or the Nazis. It is 70 nations, which in Torah terms, means all of the nations,” explained Rabbi Trugman.

Rabbi Shimon Apisdorf, a prominent Jewish educator and bestselling author, told Breaking Israel News that seeing 70 nations written in the headlines caught his attention.

“There is no question that the aspect of specifically 70 nations gathering is significant, the point being Israel is not one of them,” said Rabbi Apisdorf, citing the book of Numbers.

Lo, it is a people that shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. Numbers 23:9

January 15, 2017 – 70 Nations Will Gather In Paris To Discuss The Future Of Israel

Update:  The Paris Peace Conference Ends With A Long Declaration

“This is not a peace conference. It’s a tribunal against the state of Israel, a conference whose whole point is to harm the security of Israel, its good name — a trial against Israel,” Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said.

Israel said it will not attend.

On January 15th, representatives from 70 different countries will gather in Paris, France for an unprecedented global conference. The stated goal of this conference is to promote a “two-state solution” as the way that lasting peace will be brought to the Middle East.
In Israel, there is a tremendous amount of concern that whatever is agreed upon at this conference will immediately be used as the basis for a UN Security Council resolution that would permanently divide the land of Israel and create a Palestinian state.

But things would have to move very rapidly in order for that to happen, because Barack Obama’s time in the White House comes to an end on January 20th, and Donald Trump has already made it exceedingly clear that he would never support such a resolution.Prophecy News Watch

Israel Urges Jews To Leave France To Protest Peace Talks

Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman urged all Jews in France to leave the European country as a sign of protest against an upcoming conference hosted by Paris that is looking to restart Israel-Palestine peace talks.

Representatives from 70 countries will gather in Paris for the Jan. 15 peace talks, which Israel said it will not attend.

“Perhaps it’s time to tell the Jews of France, ‘This isn’t your country, this isn’t your land. Leave France and come to Israel,’” Lieberman reportedly said Monday.

He also described the upcoming conference as a new “Dreyfus trial.” Alfred Dreyfus, a French Jewish army captain, was wrongly convicted of espionage and treason in 1894. His trials divided the French society until he was cleared of all charges and reinstated in the army in 1906. His trials and conviction are viewed as a symbol of injustice and the anti-Semitic views in France at the time.

“This is not a peace conference. It’s a tribunal against the state of Israel, a conference whose whole point is to harm the security of Israel, its good name — a trial against Israel,” Lieberman said. “It’s a Dreyfus trial in a modern version, what they’re preparing there in Paris for January 15, with one difference. Instead of one Jew being on trial, it will be the entire Jewish people and the state of Israel.” IBT

January 15, 2017,  is a Sunday.  Monday, January 16, 2017, is a federal holiday, Martin Luther King day.

The next day it will be Obama’s turn. Obama can be expected to use the occasion of Martin Luther King Jr. Day to present the Palestinian war to annihilate Israel as a natural progression from the American Civil Rights movement that King led 50 years ago.

Finally, sometime between January 17 and 19, Obama intends for the Security Council to reconvene and follow the gang at the Paris conference by adopting Kerry’s positions as a Security Council resolution. That follow-on resolution may also recognize “Palestine” and grant it full membership in the UN. FrontPageMag

Gas Canisters Found Near Notre Dame Terror Plot Was Planned By A Group Of Women

Update: The ISIS suspects have been named as Ornella Gilligman (29),  Sarah Hervouet (23), Amel Sakaou (39) and Ines Madani (19).

Ornella Gilligman, “a mother-of-three who wanted to blow up the Eiffel Tower has became the first member of France’s first ever all-female Islamic State cell to be charged,” reported the DailyMail

France24 reported,  “The woman, named as 29-year-old Ornella G., was remanded in custody after being charged with association with a terrorist group and attempted murder by an organised group, prosecutors said.  She had been known to security services for planning to head to Syria.”

Notredame_Paris7 people have been detained over gas canisters found near Paris’ Notre Dame.

3 woman aged 39, 23 and 19 years old were behind a thwarted attack near Notre Dame.

An employee of a nearby bar reported the car, a Peugot 607 with its license plates removed, parked along the Seine River with its hazard lights on.  Found in the car were three gas canisters, three bottles of diesel fuel, and a cigarette very close to a blanket that had oil on it.

The 19-year-old is the daughter of the owner of the abandoned car.

The three women with plans to blow up a Paris mainline train station were detained after a standoff with French police.  An intelligence officer was hospitalized with a knife wound to the shoulder. One suspect was also injured, Cazeneuve said.

Sarah H.

Sarah H., 23, “was engaged to a jihadist who beheaded a Catholic priest and the terrorist who murdered a police couple,” reported the Daily Mail.

Paris prosecutor François Molins said one of the women detained in Thursday’s police raid was engaged separately to two French extremists who themselves carried out deadly attacks this year.

He said the woman was engaged to Larossi Abballa, who killed two police officials in Magnanville in June and filmed the aftermath on Facebook Live before dying in a police raid.

The Paris prosecutor said she was also betrothed to Adel Kermiche, who slit the throat of an elderly French priest during morning Mass in July.

Her current fiancé was arrested on Thursday, Molins said. The fiancé was already known to French intelligence services for having links to Islamist radicals, sources close to the investigation told AFP.  France24

Two French Festivals Cancel American Band Present During Paris Attacks After Remarks About Muslims

eagles-of-death-bandThe California band, Eagles of Death Metal,  was on stage at a packed Bataclan night club during the Paris terrorist attacks in 2015 when Islamic’s massacred 89 people.

Two French festivals on Friday cancelled shows by Eagles of Death Metal, the band whose November 13 show in Paris turned into a bloodbath, after the frontman made remarks critical of Muslims…

“Being in total disagreement with Jesse Hughes’ recent allegations given in an interview with an American media (outlet), both Cabaret Vert and Rock en Seine festivals have decided to cancel the band’s performance,” said a statement by the two festivals, which take place in late August. BreitBart

Taki’s magazine interview with Jesse Hughes

Jesse Hughes: “I saw fear fall like a blanket on the whole crowd and they fell like wheat in the wind—the way you would before a god. I was totally alert from the very beginning. The first thing I needed to do was find my girl. Fear took a backseat and “where’s my girl?” took over. I could smell gunpowder in the backstage area and I knew someone fired a round back there. I saw a guy with an FAL [a semi-automatic] and when he turned to face me his eyes looked like marbles. He was stoned out of his mind, and we now know they were on Xanax and cocaine. I recognized him. I’d seen him earlier in the day and noticed him staring at us.”

They were in the venue early. That implies some staff were in on it.

“I got in a lot of trouble for saying that. I know for sure that they were in there early. I remember them staring at my buddy. I just chalked it up to Arab envy. You know what I mean? When a Muslim sees a cocky American dude with tattoos, he stares at him. I realized later it was Abdeslam and he was staring at my buddy because they thought he was a threat. There’s no denying the terrorists were already inside, and they had to get in somehow. During the shooting I went outside and the backstage door was propped open. How did that happen?”…

Jesse Hughes:  “A day after, at the stadium Muslims booed the moment of silence and we barely heard about it in the press. [Turkish fans at a Turkey-Greece game ].  I saw Muslims celebrating in the street during the attack. I saw it with my own eyes. In real time! How did they know what was going on? There must have been coordination.” Taki’s Mag

France Summit On Israel-Palestinian Peace Delayed

French President Francois Hollande

The French planned conference of ministers from 20 countries, Arab and European,  to relaunch the Israel-Palestinian peace process has been delayed until June.

Israeli and Palestinian officials were not invited to the Paris conference.

An international conference in Paris aimed at reviving the Israeli-Palestinian peace process is being delayed to June to allow U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to attend, France’s president said Tuesday.

The conference was initially scheduled for May 30 but Kerry cannot come on that date, Francois Hollande told Europe 1 radio.

“A new date in early June should be set up soon,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Romain Nadal said. “The French initiative on the peace process is necessary and urgent”.  ABC News
