FBI: 15% Of Terror Investigations Involve Refugees

Former-FBI Director James Comey on Monday told the Senate committee of crimes committed by illegal immigrants and refugees .

Exert of testimony of FBI Director James

COMEY: [W]e have about 1,000 home grown violent extremist investigations and we probably have another 1,000 or so that are — I should define my terms. Home grown violent extremists, we mean somebody — we have no indication that they’re in touch with any terrorists.

[SEN] TILLIS: Any foreign touch. Right.

COMEY: Yes. Then we have another big group of people that we’re looking at who we see some contact with foreign terrorists. So you take that 2,000 plus cases, about 300 of them are people who came to the United States as refugees. DailyWire

This is the direct opposite of statements that refugees pose no threat to national security.

So 15 percent of the FBI’s terrorism cases are refugees – far more than their share of the immigrant population, let alone the general population. And that denominator of 2,000 presumably includes people with no immigration nexus at all – skinheads, antifa, Klan, environmental and animal rights extremists, et al. So the refugee share of immigration-related terrorism investigations is more than 15 percent, perhaps much more.  Mark Krikorian at National Review

If vetting alone doesn’t work and banning travel from selected countries is merely a band-aid, what’s left? Simple: The U.S. can’t allow refugees to resettle here. Unless it is an extraordinary emergency, as Krikorian poses, but “even the UN refugee agency acknowledges that emergency cases make up only 0.4 percent of its resettlement referrals.”

“Help refugees where they are – our money goes much, much further and we can keep the security threats off shore,” Krikorian concludes.  TruthRevolt

Merkel Offers Millions In Cash Handouts For Migrants To Return Home

Election year in Germany.

Angela Merkel will offer cash handouts worth millions of pounds for migrants to leave Germany in an effort to silence criticism of her ‘open-door’ border policy.

In a highly-embarrassing U-turn over the ill-fated plan, which saw 1.2million migrants flock to the country, Mrs Merkel has now vowed to send many of them home.

The German chancellor agreed a package of measures to speed up the deportation process for an estimated 450,000 migrants who have been rejected asylum.

The controversial plan, which marks a significant toughening of previous proposals, includes a £76million scheme that will offer migrants cash incentives to leave Germany voluntarily.

Many will see the move as a desperate attempt for Miss Merkel to claw back support ahead of her challenging re-election bid in September.

Criticism of her decision to leave Germany’s borders open and welcome all refugees during Europe’s migration crisis in 2015 has led to a surge in support for anti-immigrant parties.  DailyMail

Nigerian ‘Refugee’ Kills 22-Year-Old Woman Volunteering At Refugee Center

Another life lost.

Swiss police have yesterday arrested a 27-year-old Nigerian asylum seeker who is suspected of stabbing a young woman to death in the German town of Ahaus. Following the brutal murder this weekend, the refugee had fled to Switzerland.

The fatal knife attack took place on Sunday night when the 22-year-old victim, named as Soopika P., was stabbed several times in the head, chest, and neck. Shortly after, she died in the hospital.

After the killing, the Germans put out a Europe-wide arrest warrant, leading to the capture of the Nigerian national in the city of Basel. “Today’s arrest of the suspect in Switzerland is a quick success,” the German Justice Ministry commented. Germany has asked Switzerland to extradite the 27-year-old, who will be interrogated following his return.

According to Bild, Soopika P. comes from an Indian background, although earlier reports mention her family originating in Sri Lanka. The woman was voluntarily working with asylum seekers in a center in her hometown of Ahaus where she may have met the attacker. The prosecutor confirmed that the Nigerian “had been trying to contact the woman” in the weeks preceding the stabbing.  Gatestone

Paris Installs Boulders Under Bridge To Prevent Makeshift Migrant Camps

Have the French considered – stop taking in migrants and deport many of those in their country?

Paris authorities placed huge boulders under a bridge where asylum-seekers set up a makeshift camp, local activists say, claiming some migrants who are waiting to be resettled have nowhere else to go and have not slept for days. The makeshift migrant camp was reportedly set up in the Porte de la Chapelle area in the north of the French capital. The camp is in front of La Chapelle refugee center, which still is coping with the mass influx of refugees and apparently cannot admit everyone.

The makeshift migrant camp was reportedly set up in the Porte de la Chapelle area in the north of the French capital. The camp is in front of La Chapelle refugee center, which still is coping with the mass influx of refugees and apparently cannot admit everyone…

L’Express newspaper received a comment from the mayor’s office, which confirmed that it was its decision to place the stones “to avoid street camping.”

A volunteer from Solidarité migrants Wilson told the paper that she talked to migrants who lived under the bridge in La Chapelle.

“They are exhausted, they [are] cold, some have not slept since Friday, we are extremely indignant,” she said, adding that another makeshift center was set up in the area on Sunday. Others took refuge in the Porte de la Chapelle metro station, she added.

The number of refugees arriving in France, however, appears to be much more than the centers are able to host. According to Asylum Information Database, which collects data on the influx of migrants, over 85,000 people applied for asylum in France in 2016.

Many asylum-seekers from the Middle East, Africa, and Afghanistan travel to France in hopes of crossing the English Channel to the UK, often having had their applications rejected elsewhere, or in expectation of better prospects in Britain than in the rest of the EU.  RT

Federally-funded Refugee Resettlement Contractor, HIAS, Organized NY Rally Against The Trump Administration

A featured speaker was Congressman Keith Ellison, Congress’ first Muslim representative.

Aaron Klein at Breitbart.

A Jewish group that organized a “Jewish Rally for Refugees” in New York on Sunday was massively funded by the federal government under the Obama administration to resettle refugees.

In attendance at the rally was Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), who used the platform to compare the Trump administration to the Third Reich. [….]

The New York rally was organized by the nonprofit HIAS, which describes itself as standing “for a world in which refugees find welcome, safety, and freedom.”

Unmentioned in much of the news media coverage about the rally is that HIAS has taken in large sums of federal grants to help resettle refugees. [….]

RefugeeResettlementWatch

The Jerusalem Post described the organization as a “global Jewish nonprofit organization that works to protect refugees.”

Local Fox 5 simply labeled HIAS as “the global Jewish nonprofit.”

HIAS is more than that, as this reporter previously documented.

HIAS specializes in refugee resettlement and in 2015 received 65.3 percent of its annual $25 million budget from government grants.

Annual grants include funds from the State Department and the Office of Refugee Resettlement in the Department of Health and Human Services. Another major donor is the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

In 2015, the State Department provided $17,663,704 and the Department of Health and Human Services gave another $2,765,195.

So why did they drop the word “Hebrew?”

(No matter what their official line is, I’ll bet a buck that many Muslim refugees refused to be resettled by a “Hebrew” organization!)  RefugeeResettlementWatch

State Department Has Nearly Doubled Intake Of Refugees From 7 Temporary Travel Ban Countries Since Judges Halted Ban

The State Dept has been Arabist for a long time, add in Obama/Clinton appointments and hires and it is a mess.  Sounds like those that do not agree with the Trump administration policies should go.

Since a judge put a half to the travel ban last week, State Department has let 882 refugees from the listed countries into the U.S.  That’s nearly double the rate of entry that was happening two weeks before Trump signed the executive order.  Analysts say the sudden increase is a coordinated effort by the State Dept. to let in as many people from these countries before the order may be reinstated.  DailyMail

Jordanian Prince Faisal bin Hussein On Syrian Refugees: ‘We Can’t Vet These People’

Faisal bin Hussein is the younger brother of King Abdullah II.  At times he has served as regent when the King is out of the country.

There also was a 2015 glitch in U.S. officials vetting refugees, the FBI is revetting Syrian refugees allowed into the U.S.

Prince Faisal bin Hussein told GOP North Carolina Congressman Mark Walker the Jordanian government could not vet Syrian refugees, The Washington Examiner reports.

Walker, the chairman of the Republican Study Committee, was in Jordan at the time of the comment for a fact finding mission. The U.S. Department of State reportedly tried to tell Walker that the vetting process was thorough, just hours before Hussein told him, “we can’t vet these people.”

The United Nations High Committee on Refugees believes 655,000 Syrian refugees currently reside in Jordan, dispersed across multiple camps.

Hussein’s comments echo the security concerns expressed in the executive order by President Donald Trump Friday that indefinitely suspended the Syrian refugee program. The suspension came just days after news broke that the FBI is revetting Syrian refugees allowed into the U.S. that must be revetted.

The lapse in vetting reportedly stems from a 2015 glitch that prevented U.S. authorities from gleaning possible “derogatory” information about the refugees at the time. The glitch prevented relevant personnel from searching CIA databases, which included potentially compromising information on refugees. New investigations include several dozen Syrian refugees, and began before President Donald Trump took office.

Federal agents speaking to The Los Angeles Times elaborated that one of the admitted refugees may have been in contact with an Islamic State operative, and another failed a polygraph test.

Former President Barack Obama’s administration repeatedly emphasized the rigorous nature of the refugee vetting process. Former White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said in August that the administration was able to increase Syrian refugees in 2015 “without cutting any corners when it comes to security.” Earnest continued, claiming that “significant screening was put in place to ensure that these individuals don’t pose an undue threat to our national security.”  DailyCaller

Christian Ethics And The Refugee Problem

The selective moral outrage of Leftist is self-elevating, fake moral outrage used as means of control and shaming.

Interesting article.

America is in the midst of an ideological civil war.  The division is deep and wide, and the refugee problem is the latest iteration of the chasm.  Emotional arguments can generate justifications that are extremely hypocritical.  The hypocrisy in this particular debate is that those who want an open-door refugee policy are appealing to Christian morality, calling it unchristian not to let them all in.

When the left starts appealing to Christian morality, it is worth taking note.

These are the people who want to banish Christianity from every aspect of American culture.  Their leader and former president, Barack Obama, famously said, “We are not a Christian nation.”  Suddenly, his liberal cohorts are asserting Christianity to buttress their position.  Nice try, but there is no biblical case for opening the floodgates to refugees infiltrated by Islamic terrorists.

Some Americans are making the dangerous mistake of applying biblical principles of personal morality to matters of national security.  This is one of the passages being quoted in support of an open door refugee policy: “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels” (Hebrews 13:2).  That verse imposes a moral obligation on individuals to be hospitable.  Governmental policies are quite another matter.  When these texts were written, cities were surrounded by walls and secured behind gates.

The highest moral obligation of the president of the United States is to protect our citizens.  You cannot apply the personal ethic of turning the other cheek to national security any more than you can to the security of your spouse or child.  No sane human being would say to a loved one under attack, “Turn the other cheek so that you may be attacked again.”  Just as it is your moral duty to protect and defend your loved ones, the president is under a sacred oath to protect and defend America.

DHS To Provide Stats On Honor Killings And Terror Related Offences Committed By Immigrants

Part of the executive order on refugees includes a section on releasing information on crimes committed by immigrants; honor killings, gender-based violence, terror-related offenses.

Sec. 10. Transparency and Data Collection.

President Trump ordered the Department of Homeland Security Friday to start releasing information regarding honor killings and other gender-based acts of violence committed against women by immigrants in the country.

Trump ordered DHS to track and publicly release data on gender-based violence against women committed by foreign nationals every six months, and to produce numbers on foreign nationals in the country charged with or convicted of terror-related offenses. The command was part of an order suspending all refugee entry into the country for 120 days.

The goal of the data collection and its public release, according to the executive order, is to “be more transparent with the American people” regarding what the government knows about foreign nationals in the country, and to “more effectively implement policies and practices that serve the national interest.” DailyCaller

President Trump’s Refugee Restrictions – Facts, False Outrage, And Lunacy

Gad Saad is a Canadian professor and author who explores evolutionary behavior; he’s also a refugee, having fled Lebanon at the age of 11 with his parents. Sunday, he posted a message on Facebook regarding President Trump’s immigration and refugee executive order:

“At the basis of a country’s immigration policy is the recognition that a country has the right to pursue its interests first and whenever it wishes to be altruistic and humane, this is instantiated without ever risking the danger of its citizens and/or its cultural values. A country does not need to cede an inch of its sense of security. It does not need to place a single of its citizens at risk.

As such, it is unclear how to strike the right balance between suicidal empathy (and associated faux-liberal platitudes) and ill-informed xenophobic rigidity. But somewhere between these two end points of the continuum lies the optimal policy. Those who wish to find that balance are valuable members of this great debate. Those who exist on the two endpoints are enemies of liberty in their idiosyncratically dogmatic ways.”  DailyWire

The histrionics by media, on social media, and paid protesters distract from the very real danger the executive order is meant to thwart.

On Friday President Trump signed an Executive Order on refugees and visa entry procedures:

  • Bans Syrian refugees indefinitely.
  • Suspends the U.S. refugee program for 120 days.
  • Blocks entry into the U.S. for 90 days for citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.

The White House -President Donald J. Trump Statement Regarding Recent Executive Order Concerning Extreme Vetting

“America is a proud nation of immigrants and we will continue to show compassion to those fleeing oppression, but we will do so while protecting our own citizens and border. America has always been the land of the free and home of the brave. We will keep it free and keep it safe, as the media knows, but refuses to say.

My policy is similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months. The seven countries named in the Executive Order are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror. This is not about religion – this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order.

We will again be issuing visas to all countries once we are sure we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies over the next 90 days.  I have tremendous feeling for the people involved in this horrific humanitarian crisis in Syria. My first priority will always be to protect and serve our country, but as President I will find ways to help all those who are suffering.”

Jimmy Carter

Carter said in a briefing about baning Iranians, “We will not reissue visas, nor will we issue new visas, except for compelling and proven humanitarian reasons or where the national interest of our own country requires. This directive will be interpreted very strictly.” Heavy

Vetting Problems

In a private 2013 speech to the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago’s Vanguard Luncheon, Hillary spoke about the risk of “jihadists” entering Jordan with “legitimate refugees” because “they can’t possibly vet all those refugees.”  The U.S. can vet these refugees better than Jordan?  Not according to top U.S. security officials.

Following the discovery of a terrorist cell in Texas allegedly operated by an Iraqi who entered the United States as a refugee, the Washington Free Beacon has learned of an additional 41 individuals who have been implicated in terrorist plots in the United States since 2014, bringing the total number of terrorists discovered since that time to 113, according to information provided by Congressional sources.  FreeBeacon

Soros Funded Groups Scheme To Stop Trump’s Temporary Refugee Halt Order

Notice how quickly the paid agitators showed up at the airports.  Soros funds chaos.

The flurry of anguished news stories and protests surrounding President Trump’s executive action temporarily suspending “immigrants and non-immigrants” from “countries of particular concern” appears to be part of a coordinated PR effort financed by left-wing billionaire George Soros.

Protesters quickly materialized Saturday at JFK Airport, where some refugees were being temporarily detained. pjmedia

Number of travelers affected

A senior Homeland Security official told Reuters that roughly 375 travelers affected by the order. Out of the 375, 109 were in transit to the US and denied entry. Another 173 people were stopped by airlines from boarding an aircraft to the US. An additional 81 travelers with green cards or special immigrant visas received waivers.  DailyMail

Lawyers from Soros funded groups

The signatories to the lawsuit filed Saturday to block President Trump’s executive order included immigration lawyers from groups financed by Soros.

Immigration lawyers from groups financed by billionaire George Soros, a champion of open border policies, were signatories to a lawsuit filed Saturday to block President Donald Trump’s executive order halting visas for 90 days for “immigrants and non-immigrants” from Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, Iran, and Iraq.

The suit was filed by lawyers from the International Refugee Assistance Project, the National Immigration Law Center, the Jerome N. Frank Legal Services Organization at Yale Law School, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and the International Refugee Assistance Project (formerly Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project) at the Urban Justice Center.

The ACLU is massively funded by Soros’s Open Society Foundations, including with a $50 million grant in 2014.

The National Immigration Law Center has received numerous Open Society grants earmarked for general support.

The Urban Justice Center is also the recipient of an Open Society grant.

Taryn Higashi, executive director of the Center’s International Refugee Assistance Project, which is listed on the Trump lawsuit, currently serves on the Advisory Board of the International Migration Initiative of Soros’s Open Society Foundations.

Over the last decade, Soros has reportedly provided some $76 million for immigrant issues.

In 2014, the New York Times credited “immigrant rights groups” financed by Soros and a handful of other donors for influencing President Obama’s immigration policy. BreitBart
