Minnesota Schools Adopt Transgender Toolkit For Kindergartners

What is happening in Minnesota?

A “transgender toolkit” for public schools in Minnesota advises teachers to call children “scholars” instead of boys and girls.

The guidelines were approved Wednesday by the “School Safety Technical Assistance Council” and will be distributed to Kindergarten through 12th grade public schools and charter schools throughout the state. The toolkit attempts to “ensure a safe and supportive transition” for children becoming a different gender at school.

The toolkit allows for boys who identify as girls to use the girls’ bathroom, and tells teachers to ask kids what their “preferred pronouns” are.

The Minnesota Department of Education encourages parents to have “acceptance and support of their child’s gender identity” if they want their child to perform well at school.  FreeBeacon

The Minnesota Toolkit states that the 2016 guidelines were rescinded, then the Toolkit quotes the 2016 guidelines numerous times as if it is still in effect.

The directive under the Obama administration was overturned by President Trump in February. The Dept. of Education withdrew its false interpretation and expansion of Title IX to include gender identity.

“Transgender students should be afforded equal opportunities to play sports. A student should not be required to provide medical or other documentation that is not required of all students in order to participate, according to 2016 Title IX guidance.  Title IX requires that schools provide transgender students with the right to participate in such activities, including athletics, in a manner consistent with their gender identity.”  pg 9, Minnesota Toolkit

It teaches gender is based on feelings not biology.  False, misleading, and unscientific .

through these policies and this ideology, MDE is violating its own bullying policies by creating an extremely hostile environment for students and adults who reject—on a scientific basis and/or a moral basis—that gender ideology is dangerous to children. The MDE is opposing the will of the overwhelming majority of Minnesota parents and taxpayers by forcing this toolkit and this unscientific, radical view of sexuality on our schools. CPL is receiving increasing reports from parents, teachers, and students that, when they do not adopt and affirm gender fluid thinking, they are being harassed, bullied, called bigots and haters, and intimidated into conformity.  CPLAction

Ontario Ministry Of Education Corrects Elementary School Textbook That Lists Israel As Country Using ‘Child Soldiers’

An Ontario Grade 6 textbook implies that Israel is a country that uses children as “soldiers and spies”, placing the Jewish State alongside human rights violator countries:  Afghanistan, Colombia, Iraq, Libya, and Yemen.

The book, Canada and the Global Community, published by Nelson Education Ltd., is used in 800 elementary schools across Ontario, according to B’nai Brith Canada.

Nelson president and CEO Steve Brown said the book did not say that Israel employs child soldiers…“It’s actually an ambiguous statement,” he said, adding, however, that he “absolutely understands the uproar.”..

In an undated letter to schools, Nelson called the statement about Israel “potentially confusing” when not used in conjunction with accompanying teachers’ resource material, in which the reference was “further explained and clarified.”

The publisher noted that the resource material suggested teachers “point out that in the list of countries where child soldiers have been used, not all sides in all of these countries have used child soldiers. For example, only people above the age of 18 serve in the Israeli army.”

Nelson spokesperson Ryan Bird the textbook “was never intended to convey that Israel had used child soldiers, but that other groups had used child soldiers in Israel.”CJNews

Palestinians is the  group not listed that uses children soldiers in Israel.

That raised the ire of the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) and B’nai Brith Canada.

“The distribution of this textbook will surely have negative ramifications on Jewish students across the province if their peers were to, using its contents, charge Israel (with) kidnapping child soldiers,” B’nai Brith said in a statement.

Ontario’s education ministry “has an obligation to not only correct these errors but to teach the reality of the situation – that it is Palestinian leaders who use child soldiers,” B’nai Brith added. CJNews

The Ministry of Education takes the correctness and accuracy of information provided in learning resources very seriously. We continue to work collaboratively with [publisher] Nelson Education. The publisher is taking steps to correct the error including destroying the current inventory of the textbook, reprinting the error page on the new stock for the upcoming school year, notifying schools about the situation and is in the process of sending a replacement sticker (to cover the error on the page in the textbook).

According to the statement, “The replacement sticker blocks the old text and replaces it with new revised text that excludes Israel from the list of the mentioned countries. Algemeiner

Public Schools Giving Psych Evals To Children Without Parental Consent

This is disturbing.

Dr. Aida Cerundolo, a New Hampshire physician, exposed public schools in his state for giving secret mental-health assessments to elementary children without the parents’ knowledge in a piece he wrote last month in The Wall Street Journal.

Some K-8 students are being subjected to blanket screening by untrained, unlicensed personnel, with serious questions about use or protection of the resulting records. And parents not only haven’t consented to this process, they haven’t even been told it’s happening…

This is all part of so-called social-emotional learning (SEL), which is pushed by the new fed-ed bill (the Every Student Succeeds Act, or ESSA). Not that ESSA has to push very hard — the mammoth and monolithic K-12 education establishment, both federal and state, is partnering with corporate education cronies to get all children on the psychiatric couch. From there, the kids can be more easily shaped to demonstrate the kinds of mindsets and attitudes the government wants.

The DESSA is used by teachers with no mental health training, with any assessment the person administering there are prejudgments, selective perceptions, …that can influence judgment. The test is “not clinically approved or licensed by any mental health institutions.”

The New Hampshire tests are called the Devereaux Student Strengths Assessment, or DESSA. It was designed to “assess children’s ‘competencies’ in eight domains: self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, goal-directed behavior, relationship skills, personal responsibility, decision-making, and optimistic thinking.”

Mind you, this evaluation is not clinically approved or licensed by any mental health institutions, but only by teachers not trained to handle the complex psychology of schoolchildren. According to Dr. Cerundolo, these teachers must answer 72 questions about each student in their class and assess if that student exhibits confidence, and how the child reacts to “insults and mean comments.”

No Confidential – test could be accessed by anybody and parents have no say.   The test are not done by medical professions which means the records are not kept confidential.

The goal with DESSA tests is to rate children on their behaviors and figure out which students need “intervention.” A teacher in New Hampshire concerned about the tests contacted Ann Marie Banfield, the education liaison for Cornerstone Action. Banfield warns:

“DESSA is there to rate students on their behaviors but then to offer intervention to improve their scores. Social awareness is one of the key competencies to ensure the students are aware and accepting of race and diversity. These software programs profit 3rd party vendors when they sell the program to your school district. The [vendor] then collects non-academic data on your child, rates your child’s behaviors and attitudes, then makes more money by selling products to correct them.” TruthRevolt

Write A Letter To Terrorists! British Schoolchildren Told To ‘Respect’ Killers In New Teaching Aid

There is zero educational purpose to this.

The message is confusing and wrong.  The answer to hurt feelings when you feel you are being treated “unfairly and not shown respect” is violence and mass murder.

School children are to understand and write a letter to a terrorist.
Appeasement lives on in Britain.

A new teaching aid that recommends schoolchildren as young as seven “write a letter to a terrorist” to help understand their motives has been condemned as “dangerous and misguided”.

The book, Talking About Terrorism, published weeks before the Manchester Arena atrocity, describes the indiscriminate mass murder of innocent members of the public as a “type of war.”

It tells primary age children that terrorists kill people because they believe they are being treated “unfairly and not shown respect”.

It gives examples of “terrorists” whose ideas then turn out to be right: “The Suffragettes used violence and were called terrorists,” it stated.

In an activity recommended for pupils aged seven to 11, teachers are urged to “invite children to write a letter to a terrorist. If they could ask a terrorist six questions, what would they be?”

The book, published by Brilliant Publications and containing a foreword by Peter Wanless, the chief executive of the NSPCC, has been slammed by critics who say it is potentially dangerous.

Chris McGovern, chairman of the Campaign for Real Education, said the letter task would confuse and potentially upset pupils.

He said: “This a crackpot idea based on the misguided notion that primary school children must engage with, and show “respect” for, religious fanatics who are seeking to kill them. Express

San Diego Schools Sued Over Anti-Islamophobia Campaign

Islamic indoctrination.  Is the true history of Islam being taught?

This is an establishment of religion by the school and should never be allowed.

Muslim safe spaces, increased lessons on Islam during social studies classes, and other measures will be adopted by San Diego Unified School District to combat bullying. WashingtonTimes

Cair is funded by the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group.  So Cair conducts a fake study claiming that Muslims are being bullied and then uses it to force the Islamization of American schools.

The Council for American-Islamic Relations and school officials in southern California collaborated on a “holistic” approach to bullying that will likely be implemented this fall. The changes, which include adding Muslim holidays to school calendars, are the result of a study directed by the San Diego school board in July 2016.  WashingtonTimes

San Diego Schools Sued

Six parents have sued the San Diego school district, alleging that its anti-Islamophobia campaign favors Islam over other religions and grants special protections to Muslim students.

Charles LiMandri, an attorney for the parents, called the campaign a “politically correct solution to a problem that does not exist.”

The plan drew little attention when the board approved it 4-0 on April 4, with one member absent. Public comments from staff and community members were uniformly positive. Pushback gradually spread in conservative media and on social media, with many critics calling it an unwanted intrusion of Muslim beliefs and culture.

The San Diego Unified School District said Thursday that it does not comment on pending litigation but district officials have vigorously defended the plan in recent weeks, saying bullying of Muslim students was pervasive and vastly underreported. As criticism mounted, the district posted extensive explanations on its website, saying it wasn’t endorsing Islam and that its initiative responded to community concerns expressed last summer about the safety of Muslim students. Manhattan Public School Bans All Textbooks

Banning all textbooks is one way of getting rid of facts.

Administrators at Life Sciences Secondary School have ordered all textbooks rounded up and removed — calling them “antiquated,” sources say.

Principal Kim Swanson and Assistant Principal Derek Premo, who launched the ban, “really frown upon the use of books,” an insider told The Post.

“They just took books that teachers have been using and not replaced anything.”

Limited computers and limited access to the internet.

Principal Kim Swanson and Assistant Principal Derek Premo, who launched the ban, “really frown upon the use of books,” an insider told The Post.

“They just took books that teachers have been using and not replaced anything.”

While the administrators tout “modern technology” over books, they have failed to provide the necessary equipment, the staffer said.

“Most classrooms have only two computers, and not all are hooked up to the Internet. Our hands are tied, and not having books has not helped the cause.”

Books books everywhere but none in the classrooms.

Last week, a mountain of dumped books overflowed on the first floor, near an emergency exit. Other piles lined a lobby wall.

The purged primers, most in good condition, include hundreds of textbooks on 8th-grade math, algebra, geometry, various sciences and English literature, along with Barron’s Regents Exam Prep and SAT study guides. Copies of “Romeo and Juliet” and “A Streetcar Named Desire” gathered dust among the other discards.

The rejects include stacks of “Campbell Biology” — a college-level text which sells for $150 new — formerly used by kids in Advanced Placement biology. Now the AP class has a cart of laptops, and students watch videos online.

Swanson and Premo, who took the helm of the 616-student joint middle and high school in 2015, sent aides from classroom to classroom in November to collect the books. Workers also emptied book storage closets. Hundreds of tomes were tossed over the Thanksgiving break.

“They made an announcement that they were getting rid of the books because they were antiquated and outdated, and we should be using new technology,” a teacher said. “I hid some of my books to prevent them being taken.”

“We’re not allowed to use books,” said a second staffer, who advised struggling students to “go downstairs, grab a book from the pile, and take them home — because they’re just going to throw them out.”

We used to use them a lot, but now teachers just put out worksheets,” said freshman Shahadat Hossain. “We don’t really get much homework, it’s mostly classwork.”

And a 10th- grader said: “We don’t use any textbooks. They give us packets. I saw the piles of books around and thought it was weird.”

 The school is under-performing.

The dearth of books has not helped Life Sciences’ academic performance. Last year, 5 percent of its 6th- to 8th-graders passed state math exams and 9 percent passed English — far below the city average. At the high-school level, 82 percent graduated, but only 26 percent were deemed college-ready. NYPost

HS Asst Principal Screams At Teen Pro-Life Activists, Goes Completely Insane

This Assistant Principal’s behavior is unacceptable!

Video:  Assistant Principal of a Top Ranked School Yells at Students  (Content warning: Rough language)

If you want a perfect example of an angry, childish liberal, look no further than this video.

A brother-and-sister team, 16-year-old Conner Haines and his 19-year-old sister Lauren, recently stood on the corner sidewalk outside of a public high school in Downington, Pennsylvania, with signs and pamphlets spreading a pro-life message and preaching the tenets of Christianity to cars passing through the intersection.

Conner has his phone on record as STEM Academy’s assistant principal, Zach Ruff, comes storming up to the scene. He is clearly agitated and asks them to move off of school property. They refuse and inform Ruff they are in a public space and that really caused his anger to boil.

For 18 minutes, Ruff stood in front of the Haines to block their signs as he waved to students and parents driving off. But he continually engaged with them and his actions became stranger and increasingly outlandish.

At one point, Conner tells him that unborn babies are the image bearers of God, to which Ruff responds, “You can go to hell where they are, too,” pointing at the anti-abortion signs.

Ruff then unloads, telling them there hasn’t been a single pregnancy in the school for five years and no one has had an abortion under his watch.

“These children are being murdered,” Conner insisted.

“They’re not children, they’re cells,” Ruff exploded, reminding them they are at a science-based school. “Go home!”

Ruff accused the teens of harassing him, although he was the one that approached aggressively. But when Ruff was proselytized to by Conner, that’s when he really came unhinged:

Listen here son, all right, I’m as gay as the day is long and twice as sunny. I don’t give a f*** what you think Jesus tells me and what I should and should not be doing.”  TruthRevolt

Patricia McGlone, director of public information for the Downingtown School District, told WCAU that Ruff will remain on leave pending a formal investigation and that parents will have the opportunity to express their concerns.

“We do not condone or support the conduct expressed in the video and are deeply disappointed that this incident occurred,” the school’s statement read. “His conduct does not represent the values of the school district or the respect we expect our employees to show for the civil rights of others.” TheBlaze

Professor Offended By Student Reading Bible Before Class, Calls Department Chair To Make Him Stop

Would the professor be as offended if the student was reading the Koran or Marx?

After the Bible incident, the student MarkHolden withdrew from the class.

AUDIO: Prof forces student to stop reading Bible before class

A history professor at Northern Arizona University was triggered by seeing a student reading his Bible in the few minutes before class started and called a department head in to force him to stop. Campus Reform published the audio of the conversation.

The student, Mark Holden, said he spends a few minutes of his free time before class studying the Bible. His professor, Dr. Heather Martel, objected and asked him to put it away. When he didn’t, Martel sicced History Department Chair Derek Heng on Holden and the student recorded the exchange.

“So, Prof. Martel says that she doesn’t want you sitting in front of her because you put, you know, a Bible out, right?” Heng said. He then explained that he isn’t aware of the full “dynamics” of the classroom, but implied his Bible reading may be a hindrance to the class.

“So, she doesn’t want me in the front because I have my Bible out?” Holden asked.

Heng’s response shifted, “No, I think she, I mean, well why do you have your Bible out anyway?”

Holden said there was five minutes until the class started and he would like to use it for personal reading. But Heng had another idea:

“So, will you, will you, will you, put your Bible away?”

As Campus Reform noted, Professor Martel had previously accused the student of disrupting her class after Holden challenged her views on cultural assimilation:

Holden told Campus Reform that he had cited news reports about two Muslim immigrants who erected a sign declaring that the Koran gives them the right to commit rape, saying he used it as an example of a case in which cultural assimilation might be desirable.

According to an email that Martel sent to Holden explaining the violation, Holden had allegedly interrupted the class multiple times and “made a scene,” only stopping after a classmate intervened.

Martel also claimed that Holden shouted out, “You work for me. I pay your salary.” However, neither the professor nor Heng responded to requests to elaborate.  TruthRevolt

Video: Pamela Geller Discussing Islamization Of San Diego Schools

Video: Pamela Geller Discussing Islamization of San Diego Schools

Pamela Geller:  The Islamization of public schools has been proceeding for many years.

Jewish students are the most bullied, but there are no safe places or Judaism lessons in public school. Or for Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. This is part of the escalation of the islamization of the workplace.

It is telling that the public school district is working with a designated terrorist group, CAIR.

This is nothing short short of surrender to an brutal, invading ideology.

Textbook companies have their material on Islam vetted by Islamic groups that turn them into dawah presentations, proselytizing for Islam.

Innumerable textbooks and other material used in public schools today presents a rosy and whitewashed picture of Islam, while being harshly critical of Judaism and Christianity.

Our children are being taught to despise and be ashamed of their own heritage and culture, and to think that any negative word about Islam, even in connection with jihad terror attacks, is racist and Islamophobic. This is a recipe for surrender and subjugation.

‘We Were Ambushed,’ Say Claremont Colleges’ Jewish Students After Senate Passes Pro-BDS Motion on Passover, Easter Sunday

The vote on the pro-bds motion was on April 16 – a date marking Easter Sunday and the Jewish holiday of Passover.  22 yes votes, 4 abstained, 0 were opposed, and 17 were absent from the meeting, reported the Claremont Independent campus news.

Jewish student leaders at the Claremont Colleges told The Algemeiner they felt “ambushed” by an unexpected vote on a pro-boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) motion in the student senate on Sunday, which was Passover’s sixth day and Easter…

Deena Woloshin, who sits on the executive board of CPIA, said the group was given “no forewarning” of the vote and the timing effectively “silence[d] the Israeli narrative.”

The amendment stated that “Student Activities Funds shall not be used to make payment on goods and services from any corporation or organization associated with the unethical occupation of Palestinian territories. Products include those products from corporations and organizations delineated in the boycott list maintained by bdsmovement.net…” That list includes a number of major brands such as Sabra Humus, Ahava Dead Sea products, SodaStream, Caterpillar and Hewlett Packard (HP). Teacher Allegedly Prohibited Students From Wearing Crosses

Allegedly the teacher has promoted the LGBT agenda in her classroom.

A high school teacher in Tampa, Fla., has allegedly banned at least three students from wearing Christian cross necklaces, according to a letter sent to the superintendent of the school district.

Liberty Counsel, a nonprofit litigation group that promotes religious freedom, in a letter to Hillsborough County Public Schools Superintendent Jeff Eakins detailed math teacher Lora Jane Riedas’ actions.

The letter claims Riedas told at least three students they could not wear their Christian crosses.

“We write on behalf of parents of children in the classroom of teacher Lora Jane Riedas, a math teacher at Riverview High School, who report that Ms. Riedas has prohibited at least three children from wearing Christian cross necklaces in her classroom, claiming on occasion that they are ‘gang symbols,’ “ wrote Liberty Counsel.

“One of our student clients reports that she had just sat down in class, and placed her books on her desk, when Ms. Riedas approached her. Referencing the tiny cross necklace which was around the student’s neck, Ms. Riedas said, “I need you to take your necklace off.”  When the student asked why, Riedas allegedly refused to explain and then stated, “That’s disrespectful; you have to take it off.”

The student “did not want to be disrespectful, so she took it off, but she felt bad because she felt she was being forced to deny her faith. All of our clients are afraid to openly wear their cross necklaces in class any more,” the letter states.  DailyCaller

Former Montana State Univerity Student Sues School Over Suspension Related To His Anti-Transgender Views

The student tried to handle his disagreement with the trans-gender ideology in a mature way, while the graduate research assistant teaching the course Contemporary Issues in Human Sexuality  created a hostile environment because of a personal ideology.

According to the complaint, Doe was a student at MSU during the summer semester of 2014 when he enrolled in a class titled Contemporary Issues in Human Sexuality.

The class was led by Katherine Kujawa, a graduate research assistant.

Kujawa is named as a defendant along with the University and several other school officials.

At the start of the class, students were asked to sign a confidentiality agreement where they agreed not to discuss or share any information about other students outside of class.

One of the class lectures was about transgender issues.

A student in the class openly told the class that she was transgender, according to the complaint.

Doe objects to transgenderism, according to the complaint, and decided not to participate in the class conversation or the written reflection assignment at the end of class.

Doe instead asked Kujawa for an alternative assignment after class and he shared with Kujawa his discomfort with transgenderism.

According to the complaint, Doe also said he didn’t want to offend the transgender student by sharing his opinions…

According to the complaint, Kujawa pulled the transgender student aside after class and informed her that Doe did not approve of her lifestyle and that he could be a danger to her.

Kujawa recommended the student not sit near Doe, according to the complaint.

The transgender student told Kujawa she would file a complaint with the school and when Kujawa asked if she needed an escort, the student allegedly showed her a pocket knife and said she did not need assistance.

The Title IX complaint was filed with the school and an investigation was launched.

In May, Doe was called to the Dean’s office where he was served a complaint and told he could not be on campus while the investigation was in progress.

An MSU police officer then met with Doe and questioned him about his conversation with Kujawa and any intentions he might have.  Doe was then escorted off campus and told he would be charged with trespassing if he returned.

In an interview with the school’s Title IX investigator, Doe said he did not wish any harm to the transgender student and said his statements were misconstrued.

“Although he objected to transgenderism, he did not care how she chose to live her life,” according to the complaint.  Doe noted that he thought he had been talking to Kujawa in confidence and felt betrayed. KRTV
